It's a pretty simple question, will Vince McMahon exploit the fact that Brock Lesnar was one of his guys if Brock wins UFC's Heavyweight title in his third UFC Fight. I tend to think he will, because it's Vince McMahon.
Say what you will about wrestling and it's lack of ratings at this point, I tend to believe that the audience that was there for wrestling ten years ago has moved on to MMA, a notion that Vince McMahon time and time again has seemed to deny.
Brock Lesnar goes a legit 6'4" 265 pounds, the guy is a legit beast, and with his background in amateur and professional wrestling, he's flat out scary. Arguably, he should be undefeated in his MMA career do to what I say was a controversial call by the ref during the Frank Mir fight. Regardless, Lesnar bounced back quite nicely in his second fight.
Randy Couture, say what you will, is still a big name when it comes to MMA. Sure, he might have been gone for a while, but he still has name value, and is still the Heavyweight champion. If Brock beats a name like Couture, and with the cockiness that Lesnar showed in his celebration of his victory over Herring, Brock could be made into an MMA superstar over night.
So my question, do you believe that if the perfect storm happens and Brock becomes the heavyweight champion in a real sport, will Vince McMahon begin to ride the gravy train on WWE programming?
