Will Tyler Reks Join TNA?

MINISTRYrising

Championship Contender
So Tyler Reks has been granted his release from WWE so he can spend more time with his daughter. As a father myself I can understand why he asked to leave and wish him all the best. But with TNA being station in Orlando and not traveling to other places to put on shows all the time, would Reks go and work for TNA if offered the chance?

Tyler resides in California and by him leaving the WWE for his daughters upbringing, which btw a stand up guy for doing so, would be a strong suggestion he would not uproot his family to move across the US to Florida..

Tyler also announced his retirement from wrestling aswell today..

As he stated, he left wrestling to focus on his family. There's nothing more to say than that. Why does every released WWE wrestler get a thread if they will go to TNA? Lord.

Its the TNA hopefulls that the non dinosaur stars that leave WWE would join them. I wish TNA could be like WCW was and be real competition for WWE cuz us as fans would benifit from it but until that if it happens guys are not going to leave WWE for TNA unless they are unhappy there or can't handle the travel.

Wow, I am so tired of reading thread after thread after thread about "future endeavoured" WWE wrestlers joining TNA. Read on man, Reks retired from wrestling as well. Oh, you say they are only stationed in Orlando , no travel schedule. Really, wow I wonder how I got to see the stars of TNA here in Ontario, Canada just a couple of short months ago. Also as a previous poster stated Reks is from California, so what would be the benefit of going to Florida weekly ? And for to Tyler to leave the business to focus on his young daughter, that tells you that he is a man of his word and that he will not join another company without WWE getting a chance to bring him back. Also I just got released from my job today, any word when I will join TNA

I see a biased mod removed my post....Tyler won't join TNA because he knows it's lower than him. He can probably make more money being at home than he would with TNA. It's funny that so many TNA fans bash WWE but quick to make threads about the possibilities of signing a recently released talent.

So so so insecure in their product

He LEFT wrestling to be with his daughter. Why would he take a big pay cut, and move all the way across the country just to join TNA? He focusing on a higher calling. Being a Dad. It doesn't make logical sense. If he wanted to continue wrestling to support his family, he'd stay where he was. Jobbing to Brodus Clay and Ryback, and working with your best friend and tag team partner in WWE would put more food on his daughter's plate than being lost in the shuffle that is the TNA mid card right now. Sure, he might have a lighter schedule, and be able to go home to his family a lot more, but TNA still goes on the road, and he'd be doing for a lot less because he's not one of the marquee names in professional wrestling/sport entertainment, and he certainly won't have the name/face recognition he has now 90 days from now.

Reks is done. I'm sure him and WWE left the door open for him to return any time he'd like to as well. He has great size, a good look, and he's not that bad in the ring. He was just a victim of poor booking. It looked like Reks/Hawkins were going to start something soon with the television time they've been getting lately, but this certainly killed anything they've been working towards. Let's all hope Curt Hawkins lands on his feet with something good. I'm worried for his future from this point forward.

Lower than him lol? TNA is full of much bigger stars than Tyler Reks. There's bigger names in ROH than Tyler Reks. He isn't above jack.

Did Tyler say that TNA is "below him"? No, he didn't, so stop assuming.

i was about to say that, i think its time that people stop bringing up these topics when a wrestler gets released from TNA or WWE. Jus becuz they get released, doesnt mean they have to keep wrestling for the major companies. So please drop these stupid subjects.:banghead:

Had he just been released from WWE because they didn't have anything for him...then yes I could see TNA looking at bringing him in. I have always rated Recks, he is a big guy with a great look who was pretty decent in the ring, he had a lot of potential so it would make sense for TNA to look at signing him.

However, he didn't get fired. He asked for his release so he could spend more time with his daughter and be a full-time Dad. He announced his retirement from the business too, so it doesn't look like he will be wrestling anywhere, at least not for a while if he eventually changes his mind.

So no, I do not think we will see Tyler Recks in TNA any time soon.

He left to be with his daughter. I hardly seeing him moving his family away to join TNA. Just doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

I think he is done just like Monty Brown was when he retired for his family. I can see him doing a convention or two if the demand is there and maybe some local shows at most but no TNA.

Not a big fan of wwe for a long time, since the undisputed title was split or even maybe before that, but I do watch both shows from time to time.

That being said...Tyler who? He could not possibly have been a big player, as I do not recall seeing him, ever. I admit I watch Raw only about a dozen times a year, and smackdown about eight or so, but if this guy was a big deal, it seems like I would have noticed him.

If he lives in CA, and Impact is in FL, I doubt he is comming, unless he is planning to move.

But for those of you who think that a guy would never take the paycut involved in a move to TNA, either you do not realize that a less grueling travel schedule would afford more time to be with one's family, or you have never had a new baby with whom you wanted to spend as much time as possible. Some thing are more important than a little more money and fame.

Is that why he was signed to WWE and not ROH or TNA?

That doesn't mean he is above TNA lol :wtf: There's little argument that WWE isn't the big dance and the place to make the most money, that doesn't mean people who sign there are automatically above working for a smaller promotion, especially if that person didn't actually amount to anything much in WWE.

Are you trying to suggest that Tyler Reks is above working with the likes of Kurt Angle, Jeff Hardy, RVD? because that would just be stupid. Those guys, and there's some others in TNA, are all much bigger names than Tyler Reks is, if guys of that level can do it, then Reks isn't above it. Tyler Reks is above working a promotion where Sting works? a promotion where Christian worked? Jeff Jarrett? Mick Foley? Hulk Hogan? Randy Savage? Raven? Konnan? Jushin Liger? The Dudleys? Anderson? Lashley? Road Dogg? Steiner? the list goes on. Reks's name doesn't belong anywhere near most of these guys, I have no problem with Reks at all, in fact I quite like him really, but his name is worth nothing compared to these people, yet somehow he is above working a promotion they worked in? lol, no.

Unless he lives around Orlando I don't think so. He left WWE to spend more time with his family, so I doubt he'd uproot his family and move, or travel down to Orlando and leave his family again.
