Yup, he just has to beat AJ, KO, Roode, and the other Smackdown darlings on route to the main event of Mania before Cena comes back only for Cena to lose, but then Roman issue a special challenge, after having beaten Lesnar earlier in the night for the Universal Title, for a champion vs champion winner takes both belts and the loser leaves town match and Roman wins and we all cheer Roman forever for ridding WWE of Jinder. That's the long con.

Yes. If I had to guess right now, I'd say he is part of a 5 or 6 man ladder match for the US Title. I don't see them having any real story for him going into WrestleMania, but I can't picture him being left off the main card. There's a chance between now and then he falls to obscurity again and is just a participant in the battle royal, but I doubt he falls that far after dropping the WWE Championship. Imo, he remains a mid carder and the US Title picture is where I can see them having the most use for him.
I also don't hate the idea of he and the Singhs taking on New Day though.

You can argue that any match involving Cena and a somewhat decent opponent would get a reaction. The thing is what reaction can the opponent get without Cena in the ring.

I put pre-show, but I wish I hadn't. He looks ripe for an eight or so minute non-title loss to Randall Orton in the 3rd or 4th match.
I feel this whole jinder experience was done just so Cena can comeback for wrestlemania and be the one to take the title away from jinder and have this big celebration for Cena beating ric flair's record, so he will be on the main card of mania.
