Will Ferrell & Adam Sandler

Occasional Pre-Show
These two guys (Sandler and Ferrell) are household names when it comes to comedy movies. Wouldn't it be awesome if these two co-starred in a movie together sometime in the future?

I think it would be hilarious. They are pretty much the top comedy guys right now. I know Ferrell makes $11 Million every time he signs on to a new movie role. Add Seth Rogen, Jonah Hill, or maybe even Michael Cera in there and you would have a comedic all star cast.

What are your thoughts?

These two are perhaps the most overrated comedic actors in the world today. What is funny about either of these guys? Will Ferrell can do stupid voices and Sandler....can do stupid voices. it's the lowest level of comedy there is. Yes they have had a few funny roles or jokes, but most of the time these guys just make me wish I had a hatchet handy. The issue I ahve with them is if you've seen one of their movies, you've pretty much seen them all. Why would i want to see them together in a movie?

While I do disagree with KB, I think Adam Sandler and Will Ferrell would be a bad duo. Both are stars and they would just clash with eachother making it a horrid movie. It would never be like a Will Ferrell and John.C Riley film or Chuck and Larry film because in those films the two "stars" weren't as big as eachother. John Riley is no where the star Will is yet so thats why there movies are funny to most people. I just don't think it would be that good personally. Seriously when have to mega stars made a good movie with each other?

I am a fan of both of these guys and while they comedy may be childish or stupid to some people I still find it funny. If I see that that either of these guys are going to be in a comedy movie or even have anything to do with a comedy movie I'm prob going to see it. I like most of the stuff that Ferrell has done and the older stuff that Sandler has done.

I think that the only way that they could co-star in a movie together and it work would be if they were rivals or didn't like each other for whatever reason. I agree with what was stated above that a Chuck and Larry or Ricky Bobby movie wouldn't work w/ these guys. IDK what but they'd have to be going at the same goal and not be in scenes with each other the whole movie. Maybe just key points or the end just so when they are on screen together it's all great stuff and that's what you'd remember from the film.

If this really happens will it be a good movie? I'd bet no. Would I go see it? Yep, and I'm sure that the movie studios know this and know that no matter what they put out as long as those two are in it it'll make money.

their both garbage and overrated. sandler, i'll take it easy on him, but will ferrell is not even funny. he acts like a complete fool everytime he's on TV. thats not funny. thats stupid and childish.

I loved Adam Sandler growing up. I saw nearly all his movies at the theater after first seeing Billy Madison on VHS, and he was just by far my favorite comedic actor. Being grown up now... I must admit I stayed a fan of a lot of his work. I can watch Happy Gilmore and Billy Madison anytime and still be entertained. But at the same time, shit like Big Daddy and Waterboy are fucking ******ed to me, and I loved those movies back in the day.

Overall though, I think Adam Sandler is pretty great. Sure he does some stupid fucking shit from time to time (Mr. Deeds, I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry, ect.) but films like Reign Over Me, Punch-Drunk Love, Anger Management and Click more then make up for it. I thought all those films were amazing. Also, I can't wait for Funny People and that has the potential to be spectacular as well.

As far as Will Ferrell is concerned... he's hit or miss for me. For example, I recently watched his George Bush stand-up HBO Special and Semi-Pro for the first time, and both were absolutely shit. However, I also saw Step Brothers not to long ago and loved it. And then you have movies such as Wedding Crashers, Old School, and Talladega Nights that are all tremendous/hilarious, but then you have Blades of Glory, Bewitched, and Stranger Than Fiction... which are all fucking terrible. So, my overall opinion on him is that he's very inconsistent with his work. Sometimes he makes me laugh, and sometimes he wants me to commit suicide for sitting through his crap. Very hit or miss with me as I said.

And as far as Ferrell and Sandler working together? Eh, not too sure if the chemistry would be right. But I'm sure it would draw and it wouldn't hurt to try. I'd most likely check it out if it were to happen, but my expectations wouldn't be up.

While I like most of the movies these fellas make(Step Brothers is great), some are shit(semi-pro, Blades of Glory) and I think together there isn't enough movie to have them together. It would be like having Kobe and Michael Jordan on the same team, there is only one ball. And I don't think it would be an ego thing. To make it work, I agree with Shazam, they would have to be rivals.

Blades of Glory is fucking awesome, my friend. Say something dumb like again and Bandana Boy will be sitting in Section B, Row 1, Seat 4.

Anyway, I will be first in line to see any movie containing Will Ferrell and Adam Sandler. Sandler really needs a great movie to revitalize his career. In the past, he has made some of the most amazing comedies; unfortunately, many of his movies over the past 5 years have been pretty lackluster.
Will Ferrell is usually phenomenal. Almost all of his movies make me laugh until I cry. I really don't think the pairing of these two could go wrong.

QUOTE]

I will sit wherever makes you happy. Let me see that kid wingman for you though.
You are just lucky you're my best friend.
I did not like Blades of Glory and I'm sticking by it. Although Will was good in it I do not like Jon Heder and Napolean Dynamite was the worst movie ever. That may be why I didn't like it, because of Heder.

Ok, so I fucked the quote thing up, still new. y'all know what I meant.

I really liked Will Ferrell's old stuff. Old School, Elf, the good stuff. Of course, Elf had Zooey Deschanel, so I may be more than a little biased. My love for her, especially after The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy, knows no bounds.

..And I really liked Adam Sandler's old stuff. Big Daddy, Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore. Great feel good movies right there.

But nowadays? Will Ferrell hit a wall with whatever the hell that basketball movie of his was. Stepbrothers I thought was ok, but there was nothing but college humor. And I'm a college male, so I'm supposed to like it.

Adam Sandler? Remember the Zohan? I Now Pronounce You: Chuck and Larry? Bleh. Click was ok, but I love Kate Beckinsale just as much as I do Deschanel, so I'm probably not thinking clearly about that movie.

Adam Sandler from his Billy Madison days and Will Ferrell of his Old School fame could pull this off. But they've gone so far into family movie territory they couldn't do anything worth my time. If I had children, maybe. But as of now? I wouldn't pay money for that. Not on your life.
