Please could you tell me why the member Lionel the Nobel was banned after just two posts...I just read his welcome post which taken was a bit on the rude side (if your american) but surley he should've just had a warning?

I do realize I sound like an hyprocrite now because I complain about the spammers but after two posts IMO is at the least a little bit harsh, maybe you could've suspended him for a while?

Anyway, hope you can answer this for me without me getting banned lol.

If someone signs up on a site and makes it clear that they'd rather cause trouble than contribute, they're not worth having around. I'm not the one who banned him however. (I bring that up cause when I respond to something like this it's usually assumed that it means that I made the decision.

I banned him.. .The reason for this is the racism on this forum is at an all time high, and its pretty annoying.. I mean his first topic was "Stupid Americans" or w/e... Then he went and spammed by telling a sig maker "That sig sucks!!!!"... He started trouble in his first 2 posts, and honestly, the racism has to stop.

yeah i agree with you there but he/she was a noob and might've done it without thinking i highly doubt this mind.
Also before i forget could you tell me if a suspension process is in place and if it isn't are steps being made so that it can be in place?

Also Paul i agree with you that the racism does have to stop and yes it is at an all time high and i am most probablly one of the worst when i do it with you and a few others has banter which you do back lol but if we set an example and mainly all the staff and a few exp. members it should stamp out

?

It doesn't matter if someone is on their first forum ever or their hundreth, it's common sense that even a little kid should know.

yeah again i agree with you there yet again but most people don't have common sense which is a pitty but i do hope in the future a suspension progress will be put in place if there isnt one already

Can you make that a little more clear.. I have no clue what your trying to say.

^^^^

It's being questioned if we can just suspend people instead of banning them. The answer is yes, but again, if someone's initial posts involve nothing but b.s. it's not worth the hassle of letting them come back.

Really though, in this particular case, what's the point in only suspending someone with two posts as if they're losing something major by getting a full banning? If someone has been around for awhile and generally is good and then messes up, then a suspension makes sense, but if someone blatantly ignores things from the star, there's no reason to suspend them.

yeah thats what i meant because you have people like grungy who are generally good posters but had a momentary relapse so instead of banning the good ones just suspend them btw you can close this now if you want

I will close it. To add something though

The guy in quesitionhere posted in a forum that says

"get the lowdown on how things here work."

and there is also a stickied thread with the rules. "Noob" or not, it's like if someone were to go through a stop sign and say that they didn't see it. It's still there and if it's not followed, it's the stupidity of the person (or poster)
