can anyone tell me why they'd pay $400.00 for a ringside seat at a ppv? i got no problem going to a ppv cause usually the matches are better although at house shows they do more "fun" shit and the matches go longer obviously opposed to a tv taping, but there's no way i'd shell out that much when i can wait a few days and catch a tv taping or house show ringside for $40.just curious

There's plenty of reasons. The atmosphere is amazing if you're in the front row. You're closer to the wrestler's and the action. You can hear the wrestler's talking to each other. You catch them blading. You're either willing to pay for front row seat's or you are'nt. Personally I am more than willing.

It is the same reason why people buy more expensive cars, why people buy more expensive jewelry, and why people buy cell phones every three months. They get a rush off of it.

I think he means why go to a PPV ringside, rather than a house show or tv taping. In my opinion I'd much rather go to a PPV than a house show. You get to see everyone actually westle in big time matches. You're not gonna get to see a hell in a cell or an ironman match sitting ringside at a house show.

i think it depends on the PPV, as well... $400 for Wrestlemania with a semi-solid card would be worth it... also, at Survivor Series 95, they gave the people who bought front row seats the chairs to take home with them... also, with you that close to ringside, there is always that opportunity to get on TV but unless you've got a friend at home taping it then you'll have to buy the DVD to see yourself... so, it's mainly for the vane... or those who treat themselves to something nice from time to time...

what lonedog said about seeing yourself on dvd you dont always get on tv when your in front row tho

I think it's because some people just want to be able to say "I spent $400.00 on ringside seats", It's kind of a status thing to them or something, some people are just really into wtrestling and want to get as close to the action as possiable, me I wouldn't spend that much for tickets to any event, but that's just me

Wrestlemania ringside is $750.

Ringside seats would be cool, but if you are on the floor and not in the first 10 rows or so, those seats woudl be a horrible waste of money.

While I would happily pay a couple of hundred for front row seat's It's not really nessicery when you're seeing a P.P.V. because in general the atmosphere is awesome anyway.

Every PPV you attend, if your sitting in Row 1 or Row 2, you get to take home your chair.

But i've sat front row a few times for house shows and TV tapings, and I definitly say front row is the best. It is seriously alot better then sitting anywhere else obviously, but yah front row is worth whatever you pay.

Different ppvs cost different money to sit ringside. At every ppv the first 5 rows get chairs, except for WM which is a lot more rows, Wrestlemania this year was 700 something to sit ringside, Surivor Series was 300, Summerslam is 400. For those events I don't sit ringside just cause im in school and don't have the money to pay for them right now, I did go to Unforgiven and Armageddon this year though, Unforgiven was like 200 bucks and Armageddon was 175 which is great for an awesome view and I get to bring a chair home. I have sat everywhere for wrestling events and ringside is no question the best thing. Once you sit ringside you will never want to sit anywhere else again.

In England, obviously TNA has never been here, but when WWE comes, obviously theres one TV taping and a shedload of house shows, ringside seats are like £100!

id pay $400 for ringside at a PPV...i had ringside at RAW once and got The Rocks elbow pad and it was crazy. but if i had the chance id pay.

Well, First of all you are guaranteed 2 hours and a half or more of absolutely great entertainment and wrestling especially if its TNA. If it's WWE I would watch the card. But yeah basically because you are guaranteed something special. But for a WM PPV I heard it can sometimes cost up to 500$ since its 4 hours plus the pre show match or dark match.

I went to 3 live events. A house show I paid 20$. It was all that was left. For front rows it was around 75-80. I then went to Raw live and paid 40. To get front seats it was 110. It was at MSG for 9/11. Fun event both times. Then I went to SD! For front row seats it was around 80 to 90. This was at Nassau colliseum as was the first house show I went to. So I think it really depends on the arena.

What are the benefits?

Your right in the action. You get to see the wrestlers clear. Also you get to take better pictures and if there is a brawl or something into the crowd you get to see it. Sometimes you get to touch the wrestlers and like another poster posted you can take the chair home with ya. So that's all the benefits I know. I would pay if there was a good PPV card.

It does depend on the venue.

When WWE comes to Wisconsin...

RAW/SMACKDOWN! TV shows at the bradley center in Milwaukee prices are...
$60, 40, 35, 30, 25
and House Shows are...$40, 30, 25, 22.50

I have paid numerous prices over 400 dollars this past year or so. I paid 990 for WrestleMania 22- 5th row, I paid 760 for WrestleMania 23 - 6th Row and SummerSlam his year 400 - 5th row. Personally I am on a mission to see the big ppv's as the matches are awesome in my opinion. I have nothing agains house shows or TV's. House shows you see the same card basically with mabye some minor changes, so it is hard to go to consecutive house shows in consecutive nights, althought I have done it before. TV's are good in there own right. My personal goal each year is to run what i call "The Cycle" of WWE Shows. a RAW House show, SD/ECW House Show, RAW TV, SD/ECW, TV, RAW PPV, SD PPV, Joint PPV and ECW PPV, and one special TV show. I feel that to accomplish and see what I want to as a fan im willing to pay it.
