Well I was looking at the cover of the History of Smackdown DVD and I noticed Jeff Hardy on the cover. All the other guys (The Rock, 'Taker, Eddie R.I.P., Rey, and Edge) I felt distributed enough and had some of the best Smackdown moments but Jeff is some one I just cant picture out. Sure Jeff pulled an upset win over on HHH to become the IC champ back in '01 and currently is the World Champ on Smackdown, but why not some one who had some more memorable moments and played a bigger role. Why not Big Show? He played a huge role in Smackdown history IMO. He helped create WWE's golden boy Cena, by jobbing to him at 'Mania. Plus he was a part of the Lesnar/Show mega-superplex that literally destroyed the damn ring! And hell even Cena played a big role in Smackdown history! He was entertaining back than, like the time when he jacked Eddie's low-rider. Now he's stale and panders and preachs to the kiddies. So do you agree with me? Should some one else who had a bigger role on Smackdown so far than Jeff Hardy be on the cover? Like JBL or something?

I think it should be The Rock, it was his show, or the peoples show as he phrased it. It's named after one of his sayings for fucks sake. I see the idea behind putting Jeff on the cover, after all he is probably the most consistantly over guy in WWE right now, maybe more so than Cena.
But yeah, Rocky would be my pick simply because of his association with Smackdown.

Jeff Hardy has been a kindly big draw on Smackdown, and has won numerous championships. Jeff deserves to be on the cover, just like the rest of them. Big Show wasn't essential to smackdown at any point, and c ertainly hasn't contributed more than Hardy. John Cena could be on the case, but he's on Raw now, and associated with it, and Jeff has contributed more to it than he has. JBL has an argument, but I'd say Jeff is a better option, seeeing as he's still on smackdown, and probably a bigger draw, and was more important to smackdown. While you may not think Jeff has had memorable moments, I guarentee you that most fans do.

I don't like Jeff Hardy. That said, he has done a lot on Smackdown during his time there. Even if he didn't, could you imagine if Vince didn't put him on the cover? Jeff is so ridiculously over with the fans that I'm sure riots would break out across the nation if Jeff didn't get the lime light. I am sure that Jeff has attracted a lot of viewers for Smackdown, and he has taken part of plenty of solid feuds. The Punk vs Hardy feud going on right now is the best one for a long time, and I can't see it being forgotten anytime soon. While I think there are plenty of performers better than Hardy in the ring and on the mic, Jeff should be credited for his service to Smackdown.
Oh yeah, my bad. Well in that case Jeff is a very good choice because of the impact he's made on Smackdown and all that.

Jeff is deserving of being on the cover. Why not put him on there when he is the main man on Smackdown right now. All the guys you mentioned are perfect as they are all probably the most remembered guys to be on SD.

OK Jeff is amazing people hate him for no reason last year people said he was underrated and deserved the title now its these same people saying he sucks and is overrated I don't think The Rock should be on the cover just because he is on the Raw DVD cover I would say the same about Undertaker but he has made a the biggest impact on Smackdown I say replace The Rock with Brock Lesnar or Kurt Angle because they were pretty much Smackdown in 2003

It's quite simple really. Jeff is easily the face of Smackdown and has been since the draft. Big Show is on Raw and JBL and The Rock are no longer with the company. The Undertaker may have a legit claim to the cover, but Jeff is the man at the moment. Simple stuff if you ask me.
Its for marketing purposes. He's currently the face of the Smackdown brand so when kids go to Best Buy or some store like that, and they look on the cover, then they beg mom or dad for it because they know that Jeff Hardy will be in it. I don't think Rey Mysterio deserves to be on the cover IMO. I think that SCSA deserves to be on it way more than Rey. If not SCSA than definitely Brock Lesnar should be on it because he was the face of the Smackdown brand from 02-04.

Jeff Hardy is one of the biggest faces of the company, so while in the long run he may not deserve a spot amongst faces such as The Rock, he's there to appeal to a wide audience, which he does. It's not unheard of for Hardy to get the biggest pop of the night, and that means money for the WWE. A young Hardy fan may see this DVD, and his face makes the child want it, when before a simple SD DVD may not have appealed to them in the same way.

I see this as simply for marketing purposes. Even though Hardy hasn't been on Smackdown for very long, he's one of the most popular and of course WWE would captalize on that. I would personally have the Undertaker on there because he's been on Smackdown longer than anybody else besides Rey Mysterio I believe, but what do I know.
Jeff is def the man right now so I agree with him being on the cover. However, Undertaker, Rey, Eddie and Edge should also be on the cover. Rock as well and maybe even JBL. Yes it seems like it's crowded there, but Why not have the most popular and dominant superstars on the cover? Can't wait to see the DVD though since it is more the wrestling show of the brands.

It has to be for marketing only, because if you mention SD to me the first superstar that comes to mind is Undertaker. I know that it was originally Rock's show, but Undertaker, IMO, is the one that has kept the show going because there has been many a SD that if Taker hadn't have been a part of, it would have just sucked balls. So, I say that if 'Taker was active right now, it should be him, no question asked.
When it comes to Vince and merchindise, what matters is the product selling. Jeff is one, if not the most marketable star in the entire company. Jeff is currently at an all the time high, wouldn't it be smart to capitalize on that? Jeff is the world champion, and Jeff is the face of Smackdown right now; and knowing WWE, they probably put thought into who went on the cover, calculating numbers, who has the most sales, ect. To them, I don't think it matters if he contributed everything, or if he contributed nothing whilst being on the show, what matters is that Jeff is one of the most over guys in the company, and anything with his name, or face on, sells like ice cream on a hot summers day.
