Why is my tattoo idea shit?

Edit: Don't think the length of time you have wanted it for means a thing. All of my tattoos come from me deciding to get tattooed and then finding the design/image I want, not the other way around. Two weeks at most is the longest I've "wanted" a certain tattoo and I only waited that long because I couldn't get an appointment earlier.
