Getting Noticed By Management
NBC canceled "My Own Worst Enemy" only after four episodes.
The show was starting to get real interesting, but due to poor ratings, NBC canned it. I watched it on DVR, and I'm sure a lot of the audience did. The timeslot, plus the fact that it debuted in October is what ultimately killed it... but it was worlds better than Knight Rider.
At least HBO gives shows such as True Blood a chance to find its audience... although that will probably be cancelled at the end of season 3, when the show is nowhere close to reaching a conclusion... just like they did with Deadwood and Carnivale.
