Why aren't the older wrestlers being used in tag teams?

Pepe Silvia

Occasional Pre-Show
It'd give them a chance to show their partner/younger opponent they wrestle the ropes, while still exposing the chillun' wrestlers to the "WWE Universe." The vets could also take more pins/etc than their younger partner, thereby not lowering his credibility as much if he loses decisively

Someone like Chavo would be great in this role, stick him with Primo or Baretta or someone he could show a thing or two to. Finlay as well if he comes back. The last time I remember them doing this is Bob Holly and Cody, and I think that turned out pretty well.

If I don't end he post with discuss will you guys know what to do? *headscratch*

Agreed. It could bring up some interesting tandems as well.

They used to do it more regulalrly back in the day. Bradshaw started off in the "New Blackjacks" if I remember correctly, with Barry Wyndhm.

I like your use of Chavo, he would team well with someone like Primo Colon. I don't see why they don't give William Regal a young Englishman with charisma, to see what happens. Not someone established like Barrett, but whoever they sign in the next few months from the UK. Give him someone to work with, and Regal will make them shine.

Regal's another guy that could do pretty much anything: serious, comedic, heel, face, anything. He could be a great straight man to someone like Ryder's outlandishness, trying to make him act all serious and Ryder going NO BRO, THIS IS HOW WE DO THINGS JERSEY STYLE

Vince doesn't like tag teams and is no secret. He'd rather do it more conventionally. It's a shame because it works well, he is just against it.

I say pair Regal and Goldust now that Koztino looks to be a thing of the past. If the WWE truly wants to emphasize the entertainment aspects of pro wrestling, sticking these two together would be a good idea. We know both of these guys can play the comedic odd-couple role. Goldust did it with Booker T, Regal did it with Eugene. I can't tell you many levels of epic they would be together as a tag team.

I also wouldn't mind seeing them put together another veteran/rookie tag team. Michael Tarver isn't doing anything besides hanging out backstage, texting people. Stick him in a tag team with Mark Henry and have Mark Henry help turn him face. At first he'll be cheating, being way too vicious in the ring, and Mark Henry will beat the crap out of him, and beat some sense into him.
