Whose the best

The Wolf

Pre-Show Stalwart
Over the years we have seen some of the best but who is the best at the mind games.
The Names that come to mind are HBK Shawn Micheals, The Game HHH, Nature Boy Ric Flair, Hollywood Hulk Hogan, Sting, The Undertaker, Kane, Edge, Kurt Angle. If I missed I am sorry.
So who is the best at the mind games?

I am going to go with a man not on your list, Raven

Scott Levy has always been the master of the mind games, ever since he debuted the Raven character. The promo's he can come up with are so good he can really mess with the mind of his opponent.

The way he stole Sandman's child and wife away in ECW was one of the most unsettling and emotional storylines in wrestling history, he was able to get inside the head of one of the toughest men in the business and reduce him to crying on camera.

He has always been able to form cult-like factions, mesmerising other wrestlers with his words and making them do his bidding, be it The Flock, The Nest, The Gathering or even Serotonin in TNA- where Raven would cane his followers after every match and they would willingly take it.

Raven used his intelligence to get where he was in the business. He was good in the ring but nothing spectacular, it was the characters mind-games and intelligence that gave him an advantage over his opponent. Also, you very rarely saw him take any unneccesary risks in the match, he never crashed and burned or left himself open to an attack

A very smart man

I am assuming you mean mind games as part of storylines/feuds, not mind games as far as backstage politicking goes...

For me, this is an easy choice. Jake the Snake Roberts. Jake Roberts' classic promos are in a class all by themselves as far as psychological impact goes. When it comes to using psychology in a promo, nobody else comes close.

I have to agree with Davi.

I remember The Snake completely mind fucking the Ultimate Warrior and making him go through "hell" to prepare for the Undertaker, just to turn on Warrior later. Kind of corny looking back now, but it was great back then.

I have to go with Edge and Jake Roberts. There are probably more but I think of Edge and Roberts. There is really nothing more to say. Roberts was crazy and really scared his opponents, and Edge was just sly and clever.
