Who's the breakout star of Cryme Tyme?

Getting Noticed By Management
I'm wondering about this a lot. Supose Vince decided to separate Cryme Tyme and that he was about to push one of them to the (top) mid-card league? who would it be? Shad or JTG? Well i'm guessing Shad because he's stronger but I think JTG has more charisma of the two. While I dont think Cryme Tyme will be separated anytime soon, I do think that it's gonna happen in 2009 together with some other Tag Teams (Primo Carlito Morrison Miz)

I hope these guys do prove themselves in 2009. I think if they got away from this horible ''street thug'' gimmicks they could become really good superstars in the future. And furthermore the creative team needs to let both of them have a singles run while being in a tag team simmilar to Miz and Morrison if they are serious about them and if they want us to see what they are capable of.

Anyways so who do you think is the ''better man'' in the team and will become a good mid-card talent above the other? as for me I pick Shad

I've always like Shad more, but if they do split, he may become just another big man in WWE. I know Vince loves big wrestlers, but JTG may be able to pull of a singles career better.

He does have more charisma, and will be able to do a little more in the ring as a singles wrestler. If they want to make him a singles star, they can always just have Shad be his bodyguard/manager.

Same the other way around. If Shad is a singles competitor, he'd be best served to have JTG as his mouthpiece.

After watching the Royal RUmble, and seeing a little tease of a split between the two, I thought hmm who would be the breakout star. Then I watched JTG in the Rumble Match and must say I was wholly impressed.

I prefer JTG as a whole, he just has something that Shad doesn't have, not sure exactly, call it charisma or call it destiny...this guy is better than Shad. His in ring work, his body language, his all round ability is just that bit better.

It's hard for me to say, but to be honest, I haven't paid close attention to either one. I would guess that it would probably be easier to repackage shad as a heel, something that needs to happen in order for either of them to have a longer shelf life. But it seems like for now is that the team goes through phases of disappearing, then they show up once in a rare while just so we don't forget that they are still around. Since they didn't win the tag titles--again--what is left for them to do?

So basically I am guessing is that unless something changes and soon, there won't be a breakout star and we won't be seeing them for too much longer.

I'm thinking JTG. He kind of carries most of the mic work and like you said, he is better when it comes to ability. JTG is faster and is body figure is just overall better than Shad.

First though, I think they need to win those tag titles finally. It's obvious they are going to put the titles on them. It should happen soon.

I really dont think either of them will be big breakout stars. I think after they eventually split up Shad will end up being a body guard for a up and coming delelopmental talent. Shad would fit the big body guard role perfectly. Kind of like Big Zeke and Brian Kendrick. As for JTG, I think he has a lot of talent. I could see him being a good cruiserweight champion if they ever bring that title back, or maybe even a transitional I-C champ.

Although I believe JTG is the more talented of the two, I actually couldn't see either one of them doing very well on their own. I think that they are one of those rare occasions where they are just better as a tag team. They are bro's, one doesn't work without the other and its a shame WWE doesnt give a flying fuck about tag teams anymore because if they did Cryme Tyme could be one of the greats.

As of right now, I don't see either one of them as a breakout star, nor do I see any tease of a breakup. How could you "break out" when you can't even win a major title?

As for the two-headed coin thing at the Royal Rumble, I just think it was just another way to put a smile on our faces and give us a glimpse into the characters of Cryme Tyme. As of right now, they're just like that coin... one-dimensional. Maybe someday we'll get to see the other side of that coin... if Vince ever puts some gold on their waste and gives them a real chance.

Neither of them will ever be pushed as singles. They go together. They came in together, they were fired together they returned together and they will stay that way. If one of them was pushed though, it would have to be Shad. Neither of them stand out as incredible wrestlers, but it's easier to be a big wrestler with little skills than a little guy who, if he starts winning matches, would never manage to get completely over. Shad is a big guy who would do well enough, but he is not quite big enough to be a monster type and not quite good enough to hold his own. So neither should. But if they are, Shad all the way.

I believe the breakout star of Cryme Tyme is JTG. I say this because he's more outgoing and fun to watch as a superstar. Granted I like Cryme Tyme as a tag team. But to me, Shad is kind of boring. He doesn't seem to get into his character like JTG does. JTG is very charismatic. I believe he enjoys what he does in the business. Eventually, I believe he would be a good singles wrestler. He has his gimmick down to a "T."

To me neither really jump out and scream singles star(similar to Deuce/Domino). I think they work well together and should just stay a tag team for a while(what is the WWE's deal of breaking tag teams up when it isn't nessacary). But if I have to predict who will be more sucessful I'm taking flashy/charisma over size. I just personally think JTG connects better with the audience and it will help him get over as a singles star.

But I wouldn't count out Shad quiet yet. The WWE loves there bigger built guys and Shad has a good look. I think he could play the better heel then JTG but I'm just not convince his whole solo "persona" could get over without the charisma like JTG has. In the end I think they should evolve both characters more before they even think about breaking them up and then we can see from there.

Well if they actually do split up i would want either shad or jtg to go to ecw and the other go to smackdown they both been on raw there whole wwe career i think shad could become a top contender for the ecw title and jtg he could become a top contender to for the united states title but also if they do spilt they probley are going to have new gmmicks and that would kinda suck because there current gmmicks right now suit them really well

Splitting this Tag Team up is going to be the next worse thing to happen to the Tag Team division since the split of Deuce and Domino.

Shad & J.T.G. are a natural Tag Team. They weren't randomly paired from two original single's Superstars. They entered as a regular team. While I don't consider them worthy enough to become Tag Team Champions.. they fit the bill of a staple Tag Team nicely.

If a split would come, J.T.G. has more charisma and acceptance from the fans than Shad does. However that isn't to say Shad couldn't easily turn heel, and get a better reaction by completely turning his back on the fans.

In reality, I'm going to honesty say neither have what it would take to become a rememberable single's Superstar. And in the end, they'll end up like every other natural Tag Team that tried splitting. Released and forgotten.

Neither - both are crap. JTG potential to main event? please

JTG will be lucky end up as a lower mid carder, the only reason they were re-hired is because WWE has no tag teams. Nobody wants to see JTG's crappy crusierweight standard wrestling, and since I've never seen him have a good match or show any of the qualities needed to become an established big name wrestler im going to go out on a limb and say he has no chance of becomming anything in wrestling.

Shad has a slightly better chance, he's a shit wrestler but he at least has the look so he has the potential to be a mid-carder, nothing more though.

Personally I think they will both be released by the end of the year.

Although its unlikely that either one of them will be pushed as singles wrestlers heck they're barely getting pushed as a tag team, JTG would be my pick. They're both pretty good in the ring, but JTG has more charisma than Shad. in reality though Shad would more likely get a singles push because off his size.

I think nether will be a breakout star, but if i had to choose it would be JTG. To me hes always exerted more charisma then Shad which is the main reason why i choose him. Nether is exactly amazing on mic, but i would say JTG is slightly better since i feel Shad tries to hard on the mic. In-ring they both are okay nothing spectacular. Personally i hope they stay as a tag team seeing as how the division is in desperate need of more tag teams.

It would be Shad. The WWE is obsessed with big guys. How they let Matt Morgan go, I will never know, because odds are he is what Vince *********es too.

JTG is stuck as a tag team guy. He has three exciting moves, which is good enough for the tag teams, but not enough to carry a match. Shad can do all the power stuff. He could get an IC title or maybe be the throw in guy in the elimination chamber one year. He could work well as a heel or a face.

I think the only chance either of them had of breaking out was when they stabled with Cena . Cena's injury ruined there chances. I could see Shad as a Mid card on Raw or a Star on ECW but JTG has nothing for him. I agree that they will most likely be released by the end of the year and replaced by a "new" "better" tag team.

Man, I had to look these guys up on Wikipedia to find out which one was which. Realistically, I don't see either of these guys making it. In fact, I see them being released within a year or so. However, if I must pick one, I would go with JTG, the smaller one. The only reason I say this is because Vince McMahon would have already tried to push Shad if he was any good, seeing as how he has a hard-on for anyone over 6'6" who doesn't absolutely blow (some examples of those who blow being Bam Neely, Snitsky, and Kurrgan).

JTG has so much natural charisma. Charisma goes a long way in the wrestling business. My pick would be him based on charisma and his abilities. I don't see either one main eventing anytime soon, but I think JTG will be around a lot longer.

Their destiny will be whatever they decide to do when given the ball to run with. If JTG improves in wrestler and on the mic he could be a good IC/US Champion. Shad if he develops a character be it a monster heel or a popular babyface and continue to improve in and out of the ring he could be a main eventer. It's all up to them to make the best use of their skills, improve in and out of the ring and establish a great reputation.

If I was a wrestler, id spend a lot of time watching promos and honing ring psychology.

Right now there isn't one and there's no sign that either will be. They're an unsuccessful tag team. What have they done in the company/ Beaten teams in non title matches and hung out with Cena. Neither of them have ever done anythign to be seen as a Breakout star. Shad is the bigger of the two and the more noticible, but there's nothing special about either of them. They're both just ok and that's the problem. A lot of teams have had members who are just ok and have made it something that works, but this isn't one of them to me.

Shad & JTG will have great singles careers in my mind, and shad looks like a future world champ to me, i think he should break away from cryme tyme to become a destructive force, and make his own reiogn in WWE, he is destined to be world champ, not sure bout JTG, i think a heel turn in the team will go to Shad b/c he could be the next Mark Henry, JTG could be the Next R-Truth, and he should go to Smackdown to get singles status, and Shad to to ECW to win the title and be a mix between Mark Henry, Jack Swagger, and have a little Bam Neely in him, they would make great singles competitors, but a rivalry betwwen the two would be very short and dull b/c they are jus like Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch tag team wise, they jus weren't meant to be rivals, so WHEN THEY DO break away, the tension would be short
