They have both tasted the main event. They are both solid in the ring. They are both good on mic. And they are both getting pushed. But which one will finish the race first? The cocky yet athletic Matt Morgan? Or the rough and powerful Latin-american Hernandez? Morgan is higher on the card due to his feud with Kurt Angle, but Hernandez seems to be a more solid athlete. He's my pick. He's incredibly strong and can even play a bit of a high flyer. A trait that is always held high in TNA. What do you think?

Matt Morgan...I don't think it's even close. I'm not saying Hernandez won't ever be anything, but to answer your question, Morgan will get there first, without a doubt. Anyone who is put into such a high profiled feud with Kurt Angle, and then has a match with him at BFG (which was pretty good by the way) is surley on his way to the top first. Morgan has the size, look, and athletcism. His whole DNA of TNA and Blueprint gimmick is just classic. And he has the look and skills to back it up.

Matt Morgan for sure. I said in NSL's thread that he will the breakout star at the main event level in 2010. I even went as far as saying he would still rise up and win the championship even with Hogan coming in.

While both have improved greatly over the last several months, I believe Morgan to be the better of the two. Morgan in my opinion is the total package, he's great in the ring, and great on the stick. He's got all the qualities you need to succeed and be a top level guy. I'm glad a wrestling promotion has finally realized his potential. By the end of 2010 Morgan will have the strap. And as for Hernandez, by the end of 2010, he'll have one reign under his belt as the Global champion.

It's already been said, but The Blueprint is the whole package. He has great size, but it doesn't adversely affect his movement in ring. He's convincing on the microphone, and he's young enough so that a title now builds him up further for the long run. With that said, he's gone from a high profile feud with Angle to a program with 3D and Rhyno, so that's hardly moving upwards, and personally I think it killed the momentum he had leading up to BFG. But we all know what he can do, and regardless of what Hogan does or doesn't do, I think Morgan is primed for the big one sooner rather than later.

As for Hernandez, it feels like he's still trying to find his place as a singles competitor. He has the tools, but his rise to the top will most likely take a bit longer than Morgans.

Morgan doesnt really do anything for me. He kinda sounds like Mike Tyson every time he talks. He is a healthy big guy, I'll say that, but he still needs some work. Hernandez has been pro longer, has put in more time and energy into the company, and is much better in the ring than Morgan by far. Rey Mysterio has done numbers for WWE's latino demographic and I think Hernandez could do something similar for TNA if given the chance. He's a big latino guy. He's not your typical lucha libre. He doesnt have the stereotypical look that we've come to expect from latino performers, yet he can still fly. And his look and power game are definitely enough to make him a credible world heavyweight champion.

Morgan is a one-trick pony. A big guy doing the big guy thing.(Kevin Nash side-slam, anyone?) There's less dynamic to him. I'll say that he's getting better in the ring, and his promos are getting better, but in my opinion, Hernandez is the much more deserving performer. Put Hernandez in the same program that Morgan worked with Angle. Hernandez would do just as well, if not better than Morgan. Hernandez is like La Parka, Brock Lesnar, and Vin Diesel all rolled into one. If he had the company behind him for as long as its been behind Morgan, there wouldnt be any doubt that Hernandez is better. However, when it comes down to it, Morgan will most likely be the first to win the big one, sadly.

The Blueprint to win the big one first.

If neither compete for the title soon, it will have been a waste of their big pushes during the Fall of 2009. However, assuming one gets a shot soon and wins, I picture it being Morgan. It would be much easier to turn him heel and feud with AJ for the title than to turn Hernandez.

If TNA puts the strap on Hernandez it is going to be in big upset-face fashion to put over "Super-Mex" with the Latino fanbase.

I would love to see Morgan get in the title mix with AJ (the two worked great together a few months back), and let Hernandez go after the Global Championship belt going up against all of World Elite.

I have to go with Matt Morgan. The dude is just plain and simple better then Hernandez, and I mean that with no disrespect to Super Mex. Morgan has the look of a world champion, he has some pretty good mic skills, and just seems to be getting a better push. I mean he got the rub from Angle at Bound For Glory which is going to do him wonders in the long run and even though his push has been a little bit halted as of late with his teaming with Hernadez and Dinero, I see him coming out of this program right back in the title hunt. I think he'll win the belt within the next year and I will even go further by saying he will beat AJ Styles for the belt.

i think matt morgan. the dude just has all the tools. plus i mean he went toe to toe with big kurt and they almost put him over. you don't name someone "the blueprint" for nothing and i firmly believe that morgan is the blueprint for the future of tna. another guy i think has a huge future is jesse neal. i really buy him as an extreme badass with a badass mohawk and badass aura of all around bad assiness. but anyways, yeah morgan takes the cake for sure.

This is seriously one of the hardest questions I have dealt with in a long time. While Morgan is huge and powerful, Hernandez is a better wrestler, and has some major power himself. I would love to see the two go at it, maybe in a triple cage match to see who would get the shot. Is anyone having major trouble picking one of these guys? I like Jesse Neal also, he is an American hero, when his he getting his shot? Ok, the subject has nothing to do with jess, so I am going to try to figure this one out. Morgan or Hernandez? Morgan or Hernandez.... God. I will wait to see more of your responses and weigh this one out, after that.

#1 Neal fan, #1 Swagger fan ..... In a dream world, they would be tag champs! The all american american heros!

It has to be Matt Morgan. They're slowly building this guy up to take over the main event. He's potentially got everything to be main event material in TNA. He's a big dude, he's fucking solid in the ring. He's got power, he's got speed, he's got enough technical skill to get by. He can cut a decent promo, that does need work. He sounds a little PBHTTT when he talks sometimes. His charisma can take a step-up too. He looks like he's trying a bit too hard to be charismatic sometimes. He's still a rookie though. He tore it up with Kurt Angle. He can work well with pretty much anybody. I like him. Hernandez? Eh, not so much. He's destined to be a tag team partner or a mid-carder. His face turn.. it's like. It's so forced. He's just trying so hard to get over, but it's not getting quite there. He's definitely got it. The man has suprising agility for such a big dude. He can get it done in the ring, but he's pretty much strictly power. Not a lot of technical skill. He does have a good looking splash though.. scary. I'd have to say Matt Morgan.

I think it's going to be Matt Morgan, only because I think Hernandez is about to get knocked into the mid-card by Eric Young and Kevin Nash. With the stipulations EY placed on the belt, SuperMex seems to be the best one to step in and take it from him.

Down the line, they'll both hold the belt, and hopefully we'll get at least a mini-feud between them.

It'll be Morgan and I'll moan and groan about it al the way home. Best of three series with the current heavyweight champion under his belt and a huge match with Kurt Angle at the biggest show of the year. I like Super Mex and I like watching him toss guys around more than I've ever liked seeing Matt Morgan do anything. I think Morgan is bland (Blue Print is just a nice way of saying it) and average. That said, he's just plain had a better push than Super Mex and I don't see TNA squandering that. Then again, it's TNA. So you never know.

I have to disagree on 1 subject. hernandez being good on the mic..... i think he needs work in that area. Hernandez IS the better wrestler IMO. but Morgan has excellent mic skills on top of being a good wrestler. i would like to see them both be champion at one point in time. but as for right now....i think morgan is more fit for that spot.

I'm probably going to have to go with consensus and say Matt Morgan. TNA has already pushed Morgan into a much firmer main event position and has made him, albeit briefly, a solid contender for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Morgan has been placed in high profile matches with the likes of Kurt Angle and AJ Styles one on one and come out smelling like roses even if he didn't win against Angle.

Hernandez is someone that's had a brief flirtation with the main event scene, but nothing that's really all that solid. TNA had him cash in his Feast or Fired briefcase in a way that was completely wasted. Hernandez hardly had any presence within the title match before being taken out of it by World Elite. Aside from that and a match against Sting, there's jut really no sign that TNA has ever had any solid plans for Hernandez to be in the main event. They've built him up nicely I think and he's pretty solid overall, but TNA has obviously put more time and effort into Morgan.

It's gotta be Matt Morgan.

Hernandez is a decent talent. He can put on good matches, but the guy cannot talk. Talking a huge element in what it takes to become a main eventer. It's what's stopping him from being really over right now. He's over, but only on the level of the average midcarder. Plus, TNA tried to shove him down the audience's throat a little bit, with his interview segments and his feast or fired win. But they've eased up on his push and he's doing well. But he's not over. And it's proven that he loses viewers.

Matt Morgan, on the other hand, is definitely on his way to the top. He's put on some great matches over the last few months, especially with Angle, and he's improved immensely. He can talk pretty well, too, which is the one thing Hernandez really lacks. Some people already see Morgan as a main event player, and he's pretty over. Morgan chants and signs are not uncommon at PPVs.
