Who will The Rock face at the Royal Rumble?

Like I said, basing it off the fact that I've actually seen him recently coupled with the fact those years away from wrestling will have spared him countless potential injuries he may have acquired in that time. I suppose I don't know for certain whether he is great from a cardio perspective but he certainly looks the part.

I have no desire to see him in a WWE ring or on WWE tv at all at any point in time ever. This last 9 months of the Rock bullshit taking place as annoyed the hell out of me.

I don't think he should face anyone, it's bad enough he's competing at Survivor Series. They need to keep his first match back a suprise, that way more people will wanna tune into Mania to see how he is in the ring now. But if Rock is gonna do anything at Royal Rumble, they should do more than just a promo, they should have The Rock enter the Rumble match at #30 to the suprise of everyone and eliminate Cena from the match. Would provide the PPV with a great moment and would help further the Cena - Rock feud much better instead of just having another promo to further it.

I dislike the shit that will suck and does suck. Nash, Triple H, Triple H vs Nash, Air-Boom, Morrison, Rock vs Cena, the Rock being back, Cole vs JR, Maryse being released, Bryan having MITB, via satellite promos opening Raw, Morrison and Bryan still being employed by the WWE, Laurinaitis with a microphone in his hand (thats a real fucking pipe bomb), shifty quick title exchanges for no real reason.

I'm pro a lot of things in the WWE right now, Rhodes, Barrett, Ziggler, Del Rio and Punk, Ryder's push, Vickie, Phoenix, Christian vs Sheamus, Henry as WHC, Miz and Truth, the one man southern rock band... just to name a few

I've never been pro Rock vs Cena. Cena doesn't need a "torch passed" to him, hes the biggest name in the WWE and has been for the past 5 years. Rock isn't back to work with younger up and coming talent, the Rock is back to work a program with and surround Cena leading up until WM28. One big pay off for a year of work.

You all claim the Rock coming back is going to help, but you fail to see the damage its currently doing. Stalled upper middle card guys waiting in the wings to get back to where they belong the main event and the title picture. Many bitch about Del Rio as WWE Champion, when Miz could have made a more suitable champion but wait he's tied up in a tag team with Truth feuding with Cena and now the Rock. Is the Rock going to square off 1 on 1 vs the Awesome One? Doubtful.

A year that other individuals will be kept out of the main event, a year that other individuals will be side tracked, a year that we have to wait to see a match that could possible be the biggest piece of garbage in the history of the WWE. Guys who got pushed aside because of this whole Rock vs Cena storyline. Miz being a prime example, he had one of the better runs as WWE champion this year leading into WM27, but after losing the title hasn't come close to it again, he lost his last title match to Rey Mysterio, who lost the belt an hour later to Cena.

Sure the Rock is in "shape" but it doesn't mean he can still go, he's just massive right now, "I've been doing a lot of roids for a movie role massive." Reports say hes filming a movie and training, again where is his actual focus, oh yeah his acting career.

The Rock is back for 3 maybe 4 matches, the tag match at Survivor Series, and 2 or 3 matches with Cena to determine who is the best between them. The Miz is the logical choice for the Rock to face at Royal Rumble, but its unlikely he'll even wrestle between Survival Series and WM28.

The Rock vs. CM Punk - Punk is better on the microphone than Miz which leads to better promos, The Rock has already taken down The Miz in random spats, CM Punk is a bigger star at the moment than The Miz, Punk has already brought up how The Rock will Main Event Wrestlemania and how he thinks that is bullshit so there isn't any reason for them not to have a match.

This is all "If" though, and that is a big "If" The Rock will compete at the Royal Rumble. I also remember reading they wanted him for SummerSlam and nothing happened there, so SS may be a one time thing.

Also, just because I read small parts of the argument. Anyone who thinks either The Rock or John Cena vs. The Rock isn't good for business, is a total idiot and needs to get the fuck off a wrestling forum.

No way in hell do they give away a match like that at the Royal Rumble. That's a WrestleMania-type match.

I don't think Rock wrestles at the Rumble, I think he either just cuts a promo or doesn't show up at all. Or maybe interferes in whatever Cena's doing and costs him.

I’m not sure who the Rock will face at the Royal Rumble. I’d love for him to be in the Royal Rumble match, but if he is to have a singles match, I think the perfect candidate is the Intercontinental Champion, Cody Rhodes. I want to hear the Rock say that he was the last Superstar to hold the Title Belt design Cody is currently holding and that there is a reason why he retired it and was given the last one…cause he’s the Great One…or something to that effect. Cody can’t feud with Orton much longer and if Cody is going to the next level, who better than the People’s Champ to put him there. Ask Brock. I would have Cody defend the IC Title against the Rock. Then the unthinkable happens. Cena screws the Rock out of his 3rd Intercontinental Title reign. That's great build right there on the Road to WM.
