Who will retire John Cena

Yeah, many posters have mentioned this above, given Johns age and his durability and fitness, then i would not be shocked to find out the the superstar to eventually retire him would be in elementry school just now. I say that John will have to have a good ten to twenty years still left in him. He is a super fit guy and has a lot left in his tank i can a sure you that. It is crazy to e asking this question this early. As another poster recently said, 10 years ago we were not talking baout who would be the one that would eventually retire Ric Flair, so I don't see hwy we should be doing it with John Cena in this moment and time.

Out of the current list of superstars, i would pearsonally love it to be Edge. They have a Batman-Joker type of relationship and it just seems to continue. Even when they are not feuding with each other. I think that it would be so suiting for Edge to finally be the one to actually win and put Cena out. Because of their history I feel he is the only one that could have the history to do it. Another great option to do this could be Randy Orton. Depending on how WWE works this feud he could be the Austin to Cena's Rock. No matter how bad an example that is, it can still be a slight comparison. He could punt John in the head and it would be a legendary moment in the history of the business, ala Shawn Michaels and Marty Janetty.

through if i were to give my own personal opinion on this then I would say that for all of the reasons mentioned above that Edge would be the one to finally end it for Cena.

I can see your point about the injuries, I said myself when I first brought Edge up as the most likely candidate currently in the WWE. But if Edge doesn't retire from his injuries then he IMO, is likely to stick around longer in wrestling than Cena. Age has nothing to do with it, look at Hogan, Superfly, Flair, Jake The Snake, Hacksaw, etc etc.

These guys stayed around for years, obviously all for different reasons. But Edge if he recovers will be headling longer than Cena will. Unless he changes his gimmick Cena will die out sooner than later.

And what's this about a 45 year old spear? What about Terry Funk doing moonsaults? Or Flair taking a bump from the top rope?

You think a spear at 45 is gonna look bad? I personally don't like his spear, at all, or batistas, I hate the spear altogether (save for Rhino's Gore - but that was intense), but it will still be the same lame move at 45 as it is now. Just like Cena's 5 Knuckle shuffle and fame-asser from the top.......he wouldn't be able to do that at 45, he'd break his hip.

I was with you until u said edge will be headlining longer than cena. Only way that will happen is if cena goes to hollywood. Do you really think his rated r gimmick will last that long. Not just cena, but edge needs to change his gimmick as well to last.

I'm not really worried about who will retire John Cena. It is so long down the road, unless he has a career-ending injury or decides to pursue another venture he has another 15 years most likely. That being said, the person who does retire John Cena has probably not been seen yet. I can't imagine anyone in the WWE now doing it, and I beloieve it will be some new up and comer who could use the push. As many have said that very person could be in elementary scholl right now, so I am not really putting too much thought into Cena's retirement today. Wait another 12-15 years and we can talk some more.

The funnyness of ur comment is WWE Magazine actually likened Cena to SuperMan. Ive never liked Hogan. I just cant get behind a man who has seizures in the ring and expects people to pay & watch it. As for Taker I'll see Kane retiring him and someone retiring Kane. But who retires Cena? Sadly this person hasnt appeared and I forsee they wont appear for about 2 more years.

Cena has plenty of years left in him in the business. He isn't going anywhere and it's pointless right now to see who would retire him. I don't see anyone on the current roster or FCW roster. It's someone we haven't seen yet and shouldn't expect to see for several years. Cena is a workhourse do God only knows when he'll actually retire.

It'll happen due to a botched move by someone like Orton or Taker or HHH. (Like Hunter, Cena's head is too big to act on a retirement angle. He'll Flair for the next hundred years if they let him.)

A name I'd like to see Retire Cena: Chris Hero. Then he'd earn his name. He'd be a Hero to a ton of people then.
