Who was the greatest Tweener of all time?

When I read the title of this, I was ready to say Hanna Montana or Jonathan Taylor Thomas.. but after I read a bit more...

So many of them it's so tough. Flair is probably the best. To go from feuds with Funk to Steamboat to Sting to Savage and remain a main eventer is beyond amazing. I think he's probably the best 'tweener' ever. Stone Cold, Undertaker, HBK are all great mentions however.

i have to agree with the person who said the rock. he was the definition of a tweener. he did all the heel schtick but everyone(myself included) loved it. he had so much charisma that you didn't care that he was being a jerk to everyone because he was so cool and funny doing it.

uhh hello people how about CHRISTIAN

when he was the Captain Charisma with Tomko and the whole "thats how I role" thing, he was constantly getting the biggest mixed reaction in the industry. He was cocky, thought he was better then everyone like a straight heel but yet his charisma (pun intended), catchphrase and the plain fact that he's a funny guy (see Christian doing the spinoroni) which got him cheers.
For guys like Austin and Rock, they acted tough to attract fans who wanted a tough guy, they were ALWAYS trying to be face. Christian was supposed to be a straight up heel but was soon getting reactions that herald MAIN EVENT

and thats HOW I ROLL!

Chri

Undertaker no doubt. Debuted at Survivor Series as a heel and faced Hogan, the uber mega face of the company at the time, stayed a heel well into the 90's and over time everyone loved him because he simply just destroyed everyone and he'll forever remain a face.

Undertaker was a face for all but two years in the 90s, 1991 and 98 or 99 (someone correct me if I'm wrong)

I don't understand why a few people have put the Undertaker. He has spent the best part of his career as a face and one who doesn't do anything very heelish at all.

The only time close to him ever being a tweener was his first year of his career when some did cheer him. As ministry Taker and Big Evil tTaker he seemed a straight up hated villan to me.

I'm suprised not to hear The Rock's name mentioned much. If anyone made me want to boo and cheer them at the same time, it was The Rock when he was battling Mankind for the WWF title, so brutal but so entertaining :)

Yeah The Rock gets this, screw Flair, Rocky was the definition of a cool heel - anyone remember when he turned on those fans in Canada? Even though eh was being a jackass it was cool, and when he was a face he would still do heelish things somewhat, such as being extremely cocky/arrogant. Really this is between Rock and Austin I'd say.

I picked steve austin because he was the definition of a tweener, he formed no allies with no one, trusted no one, looked out for no one, stayed on his own, and you couldn't trust him, the countless times he has a beer toast with people only to stunner them after, heel or face.

Flair is a good choice, but he had allies in the horsemen and use to side with anyone who was a heel or face at the time, making him face or heel not in-between.
