I'm more into British music, always have. My dad always had me listen to his favourite(s) like The Beatles, The Stones, The Kinks, David Bowie etc. As I was growing up I gravitated towards more British music like Oasis, Blur and Radiohead. Then I discovered Punk and was enamored with it's ferocity and loved bands like The Jam, The Buzzcocks, The Sex Pistols, The Clash, Stiff Little Fingers etc. Now my all time favs are Blur, Oasis, The Verve, Supergrass, and Pulp. A lot of these bands incorporated various elements of all the British music I loved growing up. Oasis and Supergrass were influenced heavily by The Pistols, and The Jam. Now today my favs are The Arctic Monkeys, Jet, Kasabian, Keane, and The Living End. All of whom have their roots in the British rock and Brit-Pop I was so influenced by growing up.

For Me it's allways Metal (all types) or Underground Hip-Hop becasue that shit they play on the radio now is disgusting.

Metal: Opeth,Children of Bodem,Divine Hersey,Cannibol Corpse, Otep,Dark Tranquilty,Theatre of Tragedy,In Flames,Firewind,Soldiers of Scrape,Fear Factory, Strapping young Lads, Mastadon, White Zombie,Dying Fetus,Job for a Cowboy and High on fire.

Rap: Heltah Skeltah,Boot Camp Klick, Big Pun, Busdriver,Radioinactive, Wu Tang Clan, Spice one, Originno Gun Clappas, and Black Moon.

Me, I like all kinds of music... mainly; Rap, Metal, Rock, SOME Alternative, SOME Techno, and Opera. I can basically tolerate any kind of musics all for the exceptions of Pop, Emo(well Linkin ain't too bad), Gospel (or anything too Religious) and Country. BLEH, Country is just the worst IMHO. Some of my favorite bands and artists are; Trapt, Alter Bridge, Lil Wayne, JR Writer, Drowning Pool, Juelz Santana, Killswitch Engage, Tantric, D-Block(Jada and Styles mostly), Trill Fam and many others I'm too lazy to list. I love music to death like any sane person.

i love all kinds of music rap, hardcore, ska, emo, if it has a good beat and atleast good lyircs i can get into it
rap- i listen to biggie,jay-z,nas,eminem,dmx,2pac and weezy even though i finid them over rated kanye and rick ross
hardcore/metalcore-boys night out,thrice,from autumn to ashes,rise against
ska-catch 22,streetlight manifesto,reel big fish b4 they sucked,big d and the kids table
emo-taking back sunday,thursday,saves the day,hawthorne heights,silverstein
thats just some also like bob marley, incubus, floyd and alot more

I'm a rock fan of just about any kind, specifically 70s rock and alternative such as 3 doors down, Saliva, Nickelback (yes Nickelback), and others. Also several older rock bands such as Aerosmith, the Eagles, Rolling Stones, Metallica, Lynard Skynard, and occasionally the Beach Boys. I'll listen to just about anything other than country or rap, mainly rock and metal though.

I listen to about all types of music. I am such a big music freak that I have spent way too much money on my CD and Record collection. I mainly listen to Country and Rock, but I will once in a while venture into Rap and Pop music. I guess it just depends on the artist. Most music nowadays sucks though, Especially in the Country and Rap genres. Music Is nothing like it used to be in my opinion.

Oh this is gonna be long. I generally listen to all types of music but boy do I have certain favorites....

my current favorites are the Dropkick Murphys...an band based out of Boston and opften singing jazzy Irish tunes.....Some of my favorite songs include

1. Worker's Song-every person who is or respects what a worker-I don't mean 9-5 damnit I mean ppl who use their hands and skills to work in this country....should listen to this song. It perfectly details everything that is good about these ppl. My dad being an electrician is one of these ppl and I feel good when listening to this song.

2. The Dirty Glass-sung with Stephanie Daughtery-this song is amazing because it goes back and forth between Steph and the Dropkicks....it is about a bar in Boston called Darcys and details a bar wanting its patron back but the patron wanting nothing more to do with the bar. Could also be used as a great breakup song.

3. Sunshine Highway-this song is entartianing and it is a song I would dfeinately cruise to (If I had a car). It provides gerat insight on the emphasis of taking the road of life to good times. Of course it has many other meanings too.

4. Fuck You I'm Drunk-that is literally what the song is called. It is a hilarious song and should be sung when drunk. It would be a good song to sing with friends.

Now other pieces of music that I listen to include Bob Marley, Blink 182, Bowling for Soup, Bravery, Craig David Creed (shudders), Flogging Molly, Fountains of Wayne, Good Charlotte, Incubus, John Mayer, the Killers, Lenny Kravitz, Limp Bizkit, Lustra, Maroon 5, Motorhead, Matchbox 20, Mozart, Neil Diamond, Nickelback, Phantom Planet, Postal Service, Rick Springfield, Rightious Brothers, Rooney, Sammy Hagar, Seal, Social Distortion, The Strokes, The Hives, Sublime, Third Eye Blind, Trapt and Van Halen.

All of these pieces of music find a way to express the various different emotions that music brings to my world and shows every single bit of how I am feeling in a constructive way...

this is my 200th post!

I basically listen to all type of music, but it really depends what mood i'm in. For example, If i feel like relaxing, i listen to something like Coldplay.
At the moment my favourite is Sum 41- they're a punk rock/alt rock band. love their songs Look At Me and Still Waiting.

I'm into rock, punk and a little bit of metal, bands like Dream Theater, Linkin Park, Sum 41, Blink 182, Dragonforce, Bullet For My Valentine. I could go on but there are way too many.
I also like some more relaxing and powerful music like Coldplay (The Scientist is one of my favourite songs) and Funeral For A Friend

I listen to a bit of everything, mainly alternative rock like The Smiths, the Libertines, the Strokes and stuff. Recently I've been listening to some country music, not out and out country music but the mainstream stuff they play on the radio.
I find that there isn't a lot of good music these days so I listen to older music like the Clash, Sex Pistols and 80s pop music which is quality. The only current bands I like at the moment are Kings of Leon and the red hot chilli peppers.

i listen to mainly rock punk and sometimes metal. a few of my favorite bands are; avenged sevenfold, rise against, three days grace, metallica, linkin park, and breaking benjamen. some of my favorite songs are bat country, a little piece of heaven, and almost easy- avenged sevenfold. over and over, on my own, and gone forever- three days grace. and savior, audience of one, and kotov syndrome- rise against.i also enjoy firefly and diary of jane- breaking benjamen

I listen to pretty much anything! I'm a huge boyband fan- the favourites being Westlife, Take That and Boyzone(someone has to be!), but I also love Marilyn Manson, Kid Rock, Shinedown, The Beatles, Lionel Richie, Linkin Park...I'll give most stuff a try!

Some of my favorite bands (and the reasons thereof)

1. The Corrs- Love this band, consisting of 3 beautiful and talented sisters (Sharon, Caroline, and Andrea) and their equally talented brother (jimmy). Andreas voice is beautiful, Sharon is a world class violinist, Caroline is a wonderful percussionist, and Jimmy's guitar work is phenominal. Combine that with their traditional Irish sound, and you've got a winner.

2. Mayhem- Sometimes you just need to hear some music advocating violence, both against the Church, and people in general. Also because they are the premier (in my Mind) black metal band.

3. Pearl Jam- Eddie's voice, nuff said.

4. U2- Make fun if you must, but perhaps one of the greatest bands of the past 25 yrs.:jason:

5. Kittie- Just good old fashioned metal, with extremely hot Canadian chicks.

6. Hank Williams Sr./ Luke the Drifter- The REAL Hank Williams, twice as soulful as his son, and twice as talented as his (incredibly underrated) grandson, Hank III.

7. Robert Johnson- If you don't know him, you should. He is the Original rock star, a full 20-30 years before there was such a genre. The man mad a DEAL WITH THE DEVIL to gain a hit record (blues), is the father of Delta-style blues, and the grandfather of Rock n' Roll. Read his bio, check out some of his music, just learn about him any way possible!!!!

I listen to Eminem, 50 Cent, Dr. Dre, and any WWE Theme Songs, especially for PPV's. I like Linkin Park, since its nu metal i think it's called, which is a mix of rock and rap, but I don't like people who are overly obsessed with them, because that's the only thing they will do is talk and listen to Linkin Park. I get a headache if a listen to too much Linkin Park. I also like the All-American Rejects, a lot because of Gives You Hell. And I admit it, I listen to Lady GaGa. I never really like pop, but her songs are so catchy. Oh yes I also like to listen to D12, no Eminem or not, no Proof or not, they're GRRRRRRRRRRREAT! =)

I mainly listen to electronic/house, rock, and rap from the 1990s. My favorite band/group is Daft Punk. Furthermore, I buy pretty much every single compilation Ministry of Sound puts out. I hear that Ministry of Sound has their own nightclub in South London. This just gives me more reason to visit England.

Alt/ prog rock kinda stuff....

But, I'm a rare breed. For though I like prog, I am not completley up my own ass and I don't dismiss the opinion of anyone who likes more popular music =)

I listen to Alternative, Country and Rock. I mainly listen to rock though. I listen to country if I want to listen to something romantic. I think the most romantic music in my opinion is made by Kenny G. There are a select few songs I like by Kenny G though. I like rock the most because it's more upbeat. Country is more mellow.

I listen to pretty much anything. I vary from stuff like Bullet For My Valentine and Slipknot to Eminem and Snoop Dogg. I even really like singers like Josh Groban. But if I had to say I listen to one genre of music it would probably be Rock/Punk/Metal. Though I don't just stick to those genres, I like most things.

I'm mostly into Rock music, whether it be classic or modern I pretty much love it all. I can't really bring myself to listen to rap, I just don't like it all, although there are some artists that are good like Kanye West etc.

Lets see my favorite bands/artists include in no particular order:

1. Pearl Jam
2. Nirvana
3.Linkin Park
4.Seether (they get a lot of hate for being "Nirvana wannabes", but I disagree.
5.Queen
7.Sound Garden
8.Three Days Grace
9.My Chemical Romance
10.ZZ Top (classic)
11.The Smashing Pumpkins
12.Breaking Benjamin (underrated IMO)
13.Pink Floyd
14.Red Hot Chilli Peppers

Some bands that don't go on my favorites, but I some songs include:The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Korn, and Alice In Chains.

I listen to almost all types of music, mainly Dark Cabaret and J-Rock though.

My favourite bands are Oasis, Blur, Radiohead, Supergrass, and The Verve. With that said I love everything from my bloody valentine to mogwai to belle & sebastian. Also pavement, Guided by Voices neutral milk hotel, modest mouse, slint, tortoise etc. are all cool bands. Oh ya and Zero 7, Air, Massive Attack and Portishead rock too.

I listen to a wide range of music, from Eminem to Parkway Drive but mainly I would just say rock in general since it's what is pretty much all in my massive playlists. My favourite bands that I'm pretty much always listening to are: My Chemical Romance, Escape The Fate (Both old and new), Marilyn Manson, Fall Out Boy, Reggie and the Full Effect and Good Charlotte. So you can see that I have some pop sorta bands with FOB and GC, some darker stuff like Manson, but I also do have a few 'hardcore' bands that I listen to like Parkway Drive, I Killed The Prom Queen, Underoath, etc which are pretty cool and also some older rock like Bon Jovi and Metallica.

So yeah, a wide range of rock music spanning different genres.

Don't want to dig too far back, but this forum is pretty inactive..

I like rock, and while many don't like the modern stuff, I love it. I love the aggresiveness.

Favorite bands:

Nirvana
Three Days Grace
Green Day
Linkin Park
Queen
Rise Against

I enjoy, but don't follow as closely:

Avengend Sevenfold
3 Doors Down
Motorhead
Atreyu
Seether
Papa Roach
Disturbed
The Offspring

There's plenty more, but you get an idea for the sound..
