I actually like it due to the fact that when wrestlers start using a few new moves more often than there old ones, it's nice to hear a nostalgic quote such as "Vintage Undertaker, or That was a vintage maneuver from the veteran Chris Jericho." It takes you back. Now, I do like how J.R. used to say "That is classic Undertaker offense." Then again, J.R. is the man behind the announcer's table.
The only thing that kind of gets on my nerves about Michael Cole is how vague he can be with the naming of a move. For example, and this is one of my favorite moves to see, is when Kane hits a crisp uppercut on someone, and the crowd "oooohhs", but then Michael Cole deadens the effect with "A right hand from Kane." Unlike, J.R. who would say something along the lines of, "OHH, What a vicious UPPERCUT from Kane, that just really found his mark on [enter name].
I know someone will say, "but J.R. and Cole have completely different announcing styles" yet the announcers add to the flavor of the event as well.
