Who has the Most respect backstage?

Shawns#1 Fan

Dark Match Winner
I searched all threw the forums but didn't see anything similiar to this so if you find something feel free to delete. But to the subject. I was just thinking in the WWE we tend to like certain superstars for what ever reasons, but who do you show the most respect towards?

For me it would probably would be the Veteran Shawn Michaels. Although Shawn has a blurry and somewhat terrible past as a superstar and human being. But since he has returned Shawn has done everything that he can to put over the younger guys unlike *cough*triple h*cough*. For example his match with Orton at Survivor Series 07 and Jeff Hardy on Raw before the Rumble of 08. And if he goes over he can still put you over in the process such as Shelton Benjamin in 2005 during that Gold Rush Tournament.

As far as Smackdown goes handsdown The Undertaker. The guy has put over so many damn people from JBL to that asshole Kurt Angle. It was even said a few weeks ago that when ever the young guys have a problem with someone or something, that they go to The Undertaker. He does whatever he can to help others unlike some on the Smackdown brand.

All i want to know is who do you have the most respect for in the WWE locker room?

I think the fact that Undertaker does not have the history of immature behavior and bad decisions that Shawn Michaels has shown in his past prime puts him at the top.

For consistency alone I believe Undertaker is even more respected than the Shawn Michaels of today, though Michaels has to be an easy second place. Also I believe Undertaker's supposed reputation as a legit tough fighter would make others respect him even more than just with his resume.

I agree with Mattitude, Taker would have the most respect backstage. He doesn't have any history of being immature or doing anything stupid, where Shawn does. Also, he is probably more respected because his reputation is just much more frightening.. The WM streak? Just one thing on Taker's resume that makes him respected. And Taker is a living legend, probably moreso than Shawn Michaels, and he has recently held a couple of world championships, which shows he still has it. When was the last time Michaels held a belt? The belt just shows that Taker is still at the top of his game.

I'd have to say Undertaker as well. He has been a consistent draw for 18 years and is still putting on great matches. He has put over so many people throughout his career and doesn't have any history of immature behavior. If I recall correctly, the only blatant politicking from Taker is Michelle McCool's massive push.

Michaels, on the other hand, has a long history of politicking and generally being a douche, from the Kliq to the Montreal Screwjob. I even recall Taker saying that he had to threaten Michaels to make sure he put over Austin at WM. No doubt about it, Michaels is probably the second most respected backstage. He always steals the show and can get a great match out of anyone, even at his age. Also, since returning, he has changed quite a bit and is putting over others more often than not.

I would probably have to go with the Undertaker. He has done pretty much everything in the business, he always looks out for the boys backstage, and is the voice of reason. Sure he may have a lot of pull, but he uses it for the better of the boys. There is a reason they call him the backstage leader.

Shawn Michaels may be respected, but not for any of the reason Taker is. People respect Shawn only because of his spot. Not his bald spot, but his spot in the company. People still have a hard time trusting Michaels backstage reputation, which is a detriment to him being the most respected.

alive: i would have to agree with ^ the undertaker has done alot he has held world titles
he also seems like a really stand up guy he has ben putting on awesome matches for years he doesnt seem like he does anything stupid aswell

dead: Eddie Guerrero ive never heard anything bad about eddie he put alot of people over in my books. i mean his last match with mr.kennedy made me a fan even when eddie was face or heel i couldnt help but smile whenever i heard his music play i mean him and rey pretty much paved the way for latino superstars

WAR eddie Guerrero

From what we've heard, the Undertaker, hands down. No one ever says a bad thing about him. He's always standing up for the new guys, teaching lessons to the people that are out of line, etc.

Michaels, I feel, is respect in the terms of his abilities. Apparently, he used to be a real prick, so people probably resent him for that. Whether or not he's changed, we don't know, but it sure looks like it the way that he puts people over nowadays. Still, I think people respect how he's clearly one of the best the business has ever had.

So in terms of talent, I think HBK is the most respected, but in terms of personality, Taker.

i would say undertaker because from what every one else has said he hasn't done anything immature or stupid backstage like hbk did when he was mr.icandoanything.
i would believe hbk is up there but not like teh undertaker. undertaker is like the wrestler who every one looks up to. looks to get advice from and i believe he is the most respected for that.

Well I think HBK is the most respected on Raw. Even Edge has made that claim. Most new superstars see a change in Michaels, and even HHH and the Undertaker see the change.

It would be the Undertaker because of his respect and his touch man attitude.

As far as Championships go, HBK just does not want the title, where Undertaker does not look to be in shape for a run even though they give him run after run. As much as I love the two, it is time for them to hang it up while they still can walk

I'm not too sure whether I'd say Shawn Michaels was one of the most respected. Yes, there has been a change in him, and those that believe in him, and those that know him, can see that. But there will sadly always be that shadow on his career from pre-1998 and all he seemed to care about was himself. Added on to the fact Shawn is wrongly hated for the Montreal screwjob, and I can never see him being the most respected. And This isn't a negative reflection on him - he's done everything he can to put things right. Some people just won't accept that.

Undertaker, hands down. Hunter and HBK both share a certain amount of animosity from the locker room due to their past or present behavior in the locker room, at least from the reports I've got. I've never, ever heard of Taker having any kind of heat or any reports indicating any complaints from the locker room against it, so it's pretty much a no-brainer. I'm not saying that Taker has never messed up or gotten on someone's bad side, but I sure can't recall any time that has happened.

This is a no brainer. It's the man that has had control of the locker room the day that Bret Hart was screwed out of the WWF title in Montreal, and that man is the Undertaker, without question. The Undertaker has owned that locker room since that day that Bret, the undisputed Locker Room leader, left.

The Undertaker was the man backstage that demanded Vince go and talk to Bret face to face. Vince ended up with a blackeye, but that was the least of what he deserved. Then the build to Wrestlemania 14, and the Undertaker threatening Michaels to do the right thing fiasco. Michaels marks will deny it happened, but anyone can find the video online that has the Undertaker saying it. It exist, it happened, get over it.

The Undertaker stood up to Vince McMahon, a guy that was hated in that locker room for what he did, and to the Kliq, and if you don't know the hatred that the Kliq had, they you are out of the loop. The Undertaker is known to own that locker room. If someone fucks up in the ring, the Undertaker is bad ass enough to set them straight the hard way.

Yeah it is probably The Undertaker. He has been their a long time, but unlike HHH & HBK, he doesn't have a huge reputation at using his stature in the company to get ahead. HBK & HHH may not do that but they both have that stigma attached, and it doesn't help that HHH is married to the boss daughter. The Undertaker "seems" like a true leader and he probably is the most respected backstage by his fellow superstars. John Cena is also said to be very popular/respected backstage. He is known as another leader, and also is said to be really respected becasue of his work ethic and how he seems to be 100% commited to this business and is said to be a hard worker. He will probably be the next "The Undertaker" in the respect aspect when taker leaves.

well, this is really hard for me, undertaker is very high up, but everyone else said him, so might as well go with the second best for me...im gonna say dusty rhodes...yeah hes creative...but oh well, i still like the guy...and hes doing a great job, honestly.

Although I think that Shawn Michaels is more than a shoe in for second place i just don't think there is anyone more respected than the undertaker mainly because of the fact he is such a down to earth type of guy and people backstage can relate to him and if that is not enough he has more than been wwe's biggest drawcard for the past 16 years.
So as much as Shawn Michaels would be a shoe in for second no one can surpass the Deadman

Jim Ross speaks on The Undertaker's respect--> "In 34 years, I have never met a wrestler who has earned the respect of more of his peers than The Undertaker"

That's not just 'backstage' either, that's all over the industry, meaning The Undertaker could possibly be the most respected ever!

I agree with the majority. Taker hands down. He's never been part of any underhanded tactics or snake moves to further his own career or the career of whoever he may be close to in the locker room. He puts people over and makes them look amazing in the process even if he does come out on top. I've always been a fan of Edge, I loved his face work, his heel work, and everything up until WM24. That match made Edge an even bigger star than he already was in my eyes. And I attribute much of that to Taker. He deserves everything he's earned in his career and I believe will go down as the most respected man in the business of all time.
