Who could replace Angle?

Punk would get buried on Smackdown... and WWE didnt want him there because of all his tattoos, etc. People need to realize that they have an image to uphold for syndicated television. Remember Muhammad Hassan? Punk would have been on tv sooner if not for his tattoos and hair. Same with Franky Kazarian. He lives down here and is a friend of a friend. He told me that WWE wanted him to cut his hair when they picked up his contract, he refused, and they told him they wouldnt take him.

They will push "baldcore" because he is one of the most talented wrestlers on the show. He has earned respect in the company, and I think they want to finally give him a world title run honestly. The guy almost died from his staph infection, and now her back AGAIN in the ring. He wont quit, and he's WWE through and through.

Hardy would be okay in ECW I guess, but they already have too much talent to push. CM Punk should be a focal point of that show... which I think he is becoming.

Kurt Angle is one of a kind, the only other person that is close to him is Beniot, but i doubt they'll move him to WWECW.

I think the only guy that could ever replace Kurt Angle is Chris Benoit but, I doubt that he will be moved to ECW (though it could work, seeing has he had a short stint there). I think they'll leave him on SD. Very few people can replace Kurt Angle.

Well whos better? Sabu sure as hell isnt.... But to the topic... I agree with everyone who said Angle cant be replaced.. I just dont know who there gonna push to have the... Whats the word I'm lookin for.... Intensity that Angle has... They need to get another top player... But if they dont pick anyone up... I see a huge push for CM Punk coming....

As everyone who reads this site knows by now, Kurt Angle was released from his WWE contract on Friday. Several people who worked in WWE closely with Angle have said the decision to let him go may have actually saved his life.

Kurt has been more and more dependent on prescription medication because of the numerous injuries he has suffered over the last few months and was "a shell of a man" according to one of his co-workers. "It was just sad to see him that way" said one source.

According to other sources, Kurt was suspended for 30 days recently and came back normal and like the old Kurt again. With the new injuries though, the pain killers once again got to him and he took another turn for the worse.

According to other sources within WWE, there is a major part to this story that is still missing. Kurt had a $1 million per year guaranteed contract that always pays wrestlers while healing up including drug rehab. So the major question is - why would he opt out of a contract that was guaranteed pay whether he had injuries or needed rehab. There are family issues right now, but there is more to this story and it will likely come out over the next week or so. Stay tuned.

we dont need to replace angle, the ECW locker room is big enough to showcase the rest of the locker room instead of wasting time on a squash match with angle. angle wasn't widely used on the show anyway, other than his match with RVD. last week's ECW, show wasn't bad, Angle is great and all but lets focus on the others in the locker room. Don't get me wrong, ill miss him, he's had some awsome matches, but he needs the tine off.
Angle will be back, maybe not soon but he'll come back.

I could only hope that WWE will send Chris Benoit to ECW. The Rabid Wolverine is the only one who could replace Kurt Angle. I can only hope that Kurt recovers from whatever demons are ailing him.

I thinke Benoit would be a technical fit in the new ECW since he first wreslted in ECW before WCW. Benoit probally could beat Big Show for the ECW World Championship. Since Mick Foley got "fired" on RAW, Foley could be another addition to the ECW roster.

One problem with Benoit replacing Angle-he's been out for a few months with an injury he sustained in a match with Mark Henry. He would be the best replacement for Angle, but his injury is stopping him right now.

Benoit would be the obvious choice, even though hes injured. Angle should never have been there in the first place. Angle was originally one of the most outspoken people against ECW back in the day.

Not to mention being a crippled mess, in ECW of all places.
