Which Wrestling Legend Deserves A WWE-Style 3 Disc Set?

Calderownz

Brilliant Idiot
Doesn't have to be WWE wrestlers, it can be WCW or anything else. Considering that WCW and all of it's memories are physically owned by WWE.

My choice would be Sting. I'd love WWE to tell his story if they were going to be truthful and not bury the guy.

TAN has attempted to tell his story, however it's just a whole different league when WWE does one of these projects.

His beginnings and splits with Ultimate Warrior, his best feuds with Hogan and Flair, as well as the Vader run and the entire nWo thing. A lot of fun to watch that all go down.

What do you guys think?

Well I think everybody in the WWE that has meant something has had one (Jericho is just coming out) so its either ECW or WCW.

Well I am going with Calderownz and saying I think a Sting DVD needs to come out with the WWE version. TNA tryed to do it but they did not have his stuff when he was in his prime and only at the end of his career so I did not think it was that good.

I think the DVD should start with his début match and some good ones also his last match in WCW against Ric Flair on the last episode of Nitro and highlight his rise to fame and all the glory bits in his career.

Kevin Nash
Way overdue for one. Now that he's considering retirement, its the perfect time. He's done so much for the wrestling world. From his time as Desiel to his days as head booker in WCW. This guy deserves it. I don't even think TNA has even done a dvd about him. He is one of the best big men of the 90s and has put over a lot of guys. His feuds with Shawn Micheals, Undertaker, his WCW days, ending Goldberg's 173-0 streak, NWO, this guys story needs to be told and if he's inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, I'm sure we'll get one. Hopefully.

There are a few I'd really love to see -
Lex Luger - At the top for so long in both companies. Helluva personal life too.
Steve Austin - Not the one they did. A proper career one, warts and all.
Scott Hall - Man, that DVD would be more interesting then the Jake Roberts one.
Andre The Giant - The one they did back in the day sucked, a proper video for a true legend is deserved!
Then either Boss Man/Earthquake/British Bulldog would make me tres happy!

The only person I think deserves a DVD right now would be GOLDUST. With the rumor of him having a book coming out soon, I don't think its long before he will get one.
I think the Dustin Runnels/Goldust story would be very bazaar and entertaining. His career has spanned over long enough time for it to fill a three disc set, with out just having it full of filler matches that had no significance in his career.
No other superstar has been in the Fed long enough to be worthy of their own DVD.

I'd like to see one on Raven. It would be interesting to see good edited job to show him going from Scotty Flamingo to Johnny Polo, to his heyday in the late nineties in ECW and WCW to the innovative matches late in his career. I would love to see all those promos from the original Tommy Dreamer feud again. I remember that one where Him and Stevie Richards were on the beach. classic.

Also, considering that promo, why not Kevin Sullivan?
You could have an entire DVD of just his promos from Championship Wrestling from Florida and then some of those wacky Dungeon of Doom promos from when they were trying to destroy Hulkamania

I would love to see a 2 or 3 disc box set focusing on the legacy of Raven, one of, if not the only man to have held a title in all four of the major US promotions in the last 15 years (ECW, WCW, WWE, and TNA) but I am almost 100% certain that the WWE will never put this together.

It could look at his early days as Johnny Polo, Scotty The Body and Scotty Flamingo, and then the origins of how he came up with the Raven character in ECW, which was so influential at the time, fitting in with the grunge movement and outcast youths.

We could have the legendary Raven v Dreamer storyline covered, as well as the famous crucifiction angle and the storyline with Raven stealing the family of the Sandman. His title wins in ECW would also be covered.

Paul Heyman is a HUGE fan of the Raven character, and would have such fascinating insights into the gimmick, which would make for essential viewing for me. I would love to see Levy and Heyman sat down discussing the effect of Raven in ECW.

Then, his WCW and WWE careers could be covered, with the US title win and the Flock in WCW and the awesome debut in WWE where Raven interfered in the Tazz v King strap match, and his many many Hardcore title reigns. The excellent Hardcore title matches with Rhyno and the one at Wrestlemania with Big Show and Kane could also be covered, as well as his involvement (albeit small) with the Invasion storyline (a huge missed opportunity to push Raven IMO).

Obviously for a full career retrospective, Ravens run in TNA would have to be covered, but this wouldnt be possible on a WWE dvd. So, we would not be able to see his quest to achieve his "destiny" of the NWA World Heavyweight title, which is eventually achieved in 2005 and Bound For Glory in the King Of The Mountain match, having eventually defeated Father Mitchell and The New Church, Dusty Rhodes and everyone else in his path to finally achieve his dream.

Plus, this box set could allow Raven to detail his many personal demons which have blighted his career. I am a big fan of documentarys where people open up and give insights into their personal thoughts and feelings, which is why I enjoy the Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels box sets, and Raven would be extremely interesting in an environment such as this.

Raven is a fascinating, complex character and has had a big impact on the wrestling business. He certainly deserves a career spanning DVD box set, but sadly, due to the lack of impact his WWE run had, one will almost certainly never be made

Such a shame in my opinion, as he has an excellent story to tell.

As Scott Levy is such an intelligent man (isnt he a member of MENSA??), then I wouldn't be surprised if he released an autobiography. I think it would be very popular amongst wrestling fans, due to the storylines he has been a part of, his involvement with the original ECW and runs in the other major organisations.
