I'm not a huge fan of the earliest saeasons. I'd say 6, 7 or some of the newer ones.

How can you not be a fan of the early South Park seasons?! They're the best!
You should get Season 2, in my opinion the absolute best season of SP. 3-5 are great too, and of course Season 1 is classic on every level.

Thats pretty funny because Matt & Trey believe that's their worst season. At least, that's what they said on the Season 3 Commentary (which was filmed around I believe Season 7 or 8, but definitely around that area). But there is some good shit on that season, like the Charles Manson Christmas episode, the episode with "good" and "regular" Cartman, and of course Chef Aid, which is one of the greatest episodes of all time.
But anyway, Season 3 and Season 6 are my absolute favorite seasons (plus 8 & 10, but you have those). So, I would suggest getting either of them.
Every artist thinks their earliest work is shit though, Matt and Trey think the first season is fucking awful but c'mon we all know it's classic.
The second season in my opinion is probably the best season, with some of my all-time favorite episodes like "Flashbacks" and the original Terrence and Phillip April Fools Day joke episode. Chickenlover is great as well. That season is just chock full of classics.
Really, just pick any random season. They're all good, it is South Park we're talking about here. Even the worst episode is better then 90% of whats on television.
