Which Pick Will Be More Important?

GNR8701

Occasional Pre-Show
MVP and Rey Mysterio switch brands and take thier titles with them.

Three part question:

Which wrestler benifits the most by going to the other brand?
Which title benifits more from going to the other brand?

Which is the more important move?

1} MVP definitely benifits more by switching brands. Mysterio is over no matter what wherever he goes and if MVP goes from SD! to Raw he all of a sudden has new rivalries and a bigger audience gets to see him.

2} The IC title without a doubt gets an increase in this move. SD! has proven that they are behind long title reigns with the second tier belt. Also, the belt will be given a new set of fueds and a much more quality second level of performers, (Benjamin, Punk, Kendrick, etc. . . . )

3} The more important move to me is Mysterio to SD! . He is the biggest kids star out there and more kids watch SD! than Raw. When you look at the whole move of top-line wrestler, fan favorite, first time ever IC title will be part of SD!, and long title reigns in secondary level in SD! to increase the power behind the IC title it would have to be Mysterio going to SD! being more important than MVP to Raw.

What does anyone else think?????

Mysterio will be the more important move for all the reasons you listed. The problem with MVP is the risk of being buried. They have to make the US title important on RAW for him to get any momentum. Otherwise he'll just get buried in mix of HHH, Orton, Batista and the like. I know this sounds weird since they just turned him face but I would really turn him heel and put in a fued with HBK.

Rey benefits more, in both cases. He gets off of Raw, which is an upper-mid-carders nightmare, and he gets on to SD where he can shine and have better matches with a smaller bodied roster. He can build the prestige of the IC title back up to where it needs to be, where the holder of it can be showcased higher on the card.

For MVP, this move should have been made LAST year. He was in the exact same position, but he would have been a heel, and would have had more opportunity to work up the card. Now, with Evolution AND Cena at the top, he (unfortunately) won't crack a Main Event for well over a year, probably. And he will probably just feud with The Miz and Mike Knox and Santino.

Mysterio benefits overall, both the show and himself. He did great work on Smackdown and the fans got behind his actual in-ring work there, IMO. He fits the look of Smackdown, and was very successful there overall. The ratings should also go back up on Smackdown for bringing in the different demographics Rey draws.

MVP benefits the US title, because now it gets a chance to refreshen on Raw. The belt has all but been forgotten in the past year, so it's a chance to give it face time. I think the IC belt will greatly suffer on SD!, because the mid-card talent will basically be thrust into the main event.
