Liam Neeson as Hannibal? What the fuck happened to Mel Gibson or George Clooney?

Common (Who he?) as B.A. Baracus? Shit, that guy was bland as fuck in Terminator. Possibly the blandest. Which was quite an achievement considering it's a film about robots.

What? There's gonna be an A-Team movie? When did this happen?

All that aside I gotta agree Liam Neeson seems an awful choice to play Hannibal, I've been wrong about casting choices before though, but I just dont think he has the laid backness to pull it off, after all Hannibal was all about puffing cigar smoke into people's faces while they were threatening to kill him.

It would be like casting Mark Whalberg as Murdoch.

Never heard of the guy playing B.A, cant really pass judgement.

Common is a great rapper, very bland as an actor. You barely even notice he's in the movies he is. I know I've seen him in some movies, but he was so bland I can't even remember. I think he was in Smoking Aces.

But yeah, TERRIBLE choice for BA Baracus. Honestly, why don't they just go get Mr. T for it? It's not like the guy's busy or something. He's not that old, he could still easily do the role. All he has to do is say the word "fool" alot and act like a tough guy and there you go.

Liam Neeson is also a pretty shitty choice. Everyone raves about Taken when the biggest issue I had with the flick was the fact that Neeson cannot play an action star or a badass in any possible way, at all. He's just not in the least bit menacing, he looks like at any moment he's going to make you some macaroni art or something.

Honestly, I had no plans of seeing this flick when they announced it, and I definately won't be seeing it now.

I remember Rampage Jackson being up for B.A. Baracus' role at one point, and I was desperately hoping he'd get it. Sucks Common got it. He wasn't terrible in Wanted, Smokin' Aces, and Terminator, but those weren't roles that required charisma. He just had to stand there and look tough. Rampage though, even with little acting experience, I'm sure would've been able to pull it off. I'm really disappointed to hear he didn't get it, actually. I was never a big fan of the A Team, but I was planning on seeing it just because of him. Now I have no desire.

And unless it's a dramatic role, Liam Neeson sucks. I don't know much about the A Team, but I know enough to know that he's not the right man for this job.

Honestly, why don't they just go get Mr. T for it? .

Mr. T was asked to have a cameo appearence in the movie but he reclined the offer because he felt it to be ridicoulus to have a cameo appearence while someone else plays the role he and only he himself could perform propely.

And because of that he doesn´t want to work at all at the A-team movie.

And I heard Jim Carrey could play Murdock, Oh great -.-

Did anyone else hear about Bradley Cooper (guy from the Hangover) playing Face? I'm not familiar with the A-team so I can't pass judgement on casting roles, but even I find it weird to cast Common as B.A. Baracus.

Looks like there's been a change and my wish has been granted. Check this shit out:

Former UFC champion Quinton Jackson has been cast as B. A. Baracus in a film remake of the popular 1980s action/adventure television series, "The A-Team," according to The Sun.

The legendary role was first played on the small screen by Mr. T during the series’ five-season television run from 1983 to 1987.

The film, currently in pre-production, is slated for a June 2010 release.

Although Jackson has not been officially announced as part of the project, Oscar nominee Liam Neeson (playing the role of Col. John "Hannibal" Smith) and "The Hangover" star Bradley Cooper (Lt. Templeton "Faceman" Peck) are confirmed for the film, which is directed by Joe Carnahan.

In the original version of "The A-Team," a group of former Vietnam War-era United States Army Special Forces work as soldiers of fortune while running from the military "for a "crime they didn’t commit."

In the remake, the characters are ex-soldiers of the Iraq War who look to clear their names from a similar offense.

Jackson is no stranger to Hollywood and has had small parts in a variety of recent films and TV shows, including "Never Surrender," "Hell’s Chain" and "The King of Queens." Also reportedly in the running for the B. A. Baracus role were Tyrese Gibson and rapper The Game.

Jackson served as a coach on "The Ultimate Fighter 10," which recently concluded taping and debuts next month on Spike TV. He then fights rival coach Rashad Evans in December at UFC 107 in Memphis.

It’s not known how the filming schedule may affect his fighting career, though given the size of the role, Jackson will likely need a decent amount of time away from the cage.

Even though I've never watched this show, I now have an excuse to see it, if this turns out to be true. Why? Well, I'll tell you why: Because Rampage is fucking awesome, that's why.

Seriously, the guy is charismatic as all hell and I have the utmost faith in him pulling this off. I've seen him perform in some very shitty B movies (Never Surrender, for example) and in each one he was the only decent part about the film. I'm positive he is going to nail this out of the park. Add Bradly Cooper to the movie, and man... this very well could be epic. Can't wait.

I wonder who the hell are they going to cast as Murdoc?, I hope Jim Carey gets the role.

I for one am waiting to see how this film turns out, IMO it will probably be the worst piece of crap ever to be released but wait and see, the marine was watchable and that had John cena's bad acting so this may not be any different, hey at least 50 cent didnt get the part (shudders)

I could not agree more. While I was watching Taken, all I could think about was Neeson in Love Actually calling to his son, "I made chicken kebabs!!"

I don't understand Hollywood sometimes. Why do they take source material such as the A-team (which was a highly successful television show in it's own right) and fuck with the key components of the formula? Stop this, I say!!
