Which Former Wrestlers Would You Like To See Come Back As Managers?

Managers aren't like they used to be. Remember when Heenan & Hart had a whole stable of wrestlers they managed? Estrada and valets just dont cut it in my opinion.

I would love to see Rick Martel back. I always thought he was underated on the mic. And there are a lot of wrestlers who have a similar gimmick but are really bland. They would really benefit from having him around.

Yea "The Model" Rick Martel could come back maybe manage Chris Masters.
How about "The Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase??? He could start a group of guys and all of them he bought out cause you know everyones got a price.

Rick Martel would be a great manager. With his arrogance spray. Also, I think bringing back Ted Dibiase would be very entertaining. That guy had a lot of talent. He was an incredible wrestler as well as manager. He could do it all. Nothing beats the sound of his laugh when his theme music first came on and he walked out there with his million dollar suit on do millions of boos. I loved it.

Back then they had managers because it was more about the entertainment value. It was fun filled and the managers were built into the storylines. Now a days it's all about either how big the guy looks or how "technical" the wrestler is. Has very little storyline or entertainment value. Which is why there aren't really any managers anymore. They don't fit into the storylines because there really isn't that many major storylines...sure they have Edge face John Cena 56 times a year but that's not really a major storyline, that's just running out of ideas.

It's a shame that most of the great wrestlers to managers that I would have loved to see are dead now. Mr Perfect would have been great. Rick Rude would have been awesome.

As for more who are alive? I dont know, it's hard to tell. All the ones that fit the category are either too old and former managers or dead.

Ted DiBiase sounds great to me. I was always a fan of him and I believe he could really make an impact on some young heels. Imagine the combo Orton and Dibiase would make. Damn.

The problem is, there's just not that many managers today that are alive or well enough to compete. WWE has turned the term 'manager' into a joke, by making it all ex lap-dancers wearing skirts outside the ring. The fans pay more attention to the woman than the match itself! That's one of the reasons I liked Estrada, but I would've liked him carrying a stable of samoans or hispanics.

If WWE ever somehow managed to get Rob Van Dam to come back and wrestle full-time, Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat would be a cool choice. Martial Arts background, not huge guys...you know how it goes.

But here's one - Bret Hart. He won't wrestle again, but could he ever be convinced to return as a heel manager trying to send his "protege" in to destroy Shawn Michaels? It'd be interesting...

Great list so far everyone but if he never ever wrestles again i would say that Chris Jericho would make an awesome manager for a young up and comer. Think about as Jericho was golden on the mic hell at times he gave Rock a run for his money. Jericho being in someone cornor coudl do wonders for a young guy. He could even have a stable and be the mouth peice as him alongw ould get the anyone over with the fans be it face or heel.

If he did while he was still some what younger he could actually get in the ring, but still Jericho down the road as a manager now that be something i would like to see.

I think the undertaker will be a good manger if he take someone under his wing. He is very knowledgable about the business and very over with the fan. So I think he make a great manger

Undertaker as a Manager? Sad idea man... True, Undertaker probably has good mic skills, but his charecter wouldn't allow it. He'd be better just doing a stable or somthing to get people over.

One guy that I think was a great manager, if the WWE would use him right, was Davairi. When him and Hassan came in, Davairi was one of the most hated men around, and he was amazing on the mic, even if you didn't know what the hell he was saying. He then managed Kurt Angle for a few months, sort of, and that got me thinking this gus here to stay. Then after angle fired him, he picked up Henry, and that was the start of somthing amazing I had hoped, but it wasn;'t ment to be. But when he brought in Kahli, I couldn't wait to see him go to work. He was a great mouthpeice, and an exelent manager. What I would like to see now is an upstart faction of Davairi, Estrada, Umaga, and Kahli. Can you imagine that faction? Have Estrada manage, Davairi wrestle/manage, and so on. I got off track...

I think Stevie Richards would be a great manager. Instead of having him job on ECW have him managing, we saw how effective he could be as a manager during his stint with the Right to Censor and he's great on the mic.

IMO i'd like to see Jim Neidhart return as a Manager for Nattie Neidhart & TJ Wilson when they start performing on RAW/SD/ECW.

id like to see Stevie Ray come back and manage Booker T instead of Sharmelle. He'd bring some fight back into Booker!

and over on TNA id like to see Brock Lesnar manage Kurt Angle! Hehe... I can dream can't i

Neidhart as a manager would be an excellent idea. Rick Martel would be a good idea as well.

Why would the Undertaker be a manager, he's still an active wrestler? Same goes for Jericho; if he were to return to the WWE (which I feel is less likely than ever since this Benoit tragedy), he'd return to wrestle, not to manage.

DiBiase was fired just a short time ago, so I don't see him returning any time soon, especially in an on-camera role. Forget Bret Hart, you'll never see him return to the WWE in any capacity, especially as a heel manager.

I think having a female valet/manager is an excellent idea, but it has to be someone who can combine mic skills, hot looks, and the ability to wrestle or at least to get involved in the action to some extent from time to time. Having, say, Maryse, Maria, Kelly Kelly, or one of these bimbos to be a manager will not work; we can get our fill of them from pudding matches, bra and panty matches, and paddle on a pole matches. However, Candice, Trish, Lita, Victoria, Michelle, Jillian, Mickie James, or Melina could all be excellent managers. Not to say that they can't also participate in the women's "division" as well, but they could be great managers if used properly.

The Iron Shiek... bring back him back and put him with The Great Khaili. Or maybe bring in some middle eastern guy and have the shiek be his mouthpiece.

What about gangrel working with kevin thorne? A boogeyman/thorne team with gangrel as the leader manager type.

Ted Dibiase wouldn't return in any type of storyline given that he is a stict christian now the likes of HBK and Sting so to put him with someone like Orton would only interfere with his beliefs given the type of character Orton is.

Unless Dibiase began a Christian stable where if you didn't agree with their beliefs they beat your ass then prayed for you that would be awesome and sorta tongue in cheek I could see him enjoying something like that.

I could see HBK being a good manager when he retires because he is a central character in the WWE like the Undertaker so he would bring instant credibility to whom ever he managed. Maybe someone like London and Kendrick then turn heel on them and manage someone like a new monster heel
