Where should Wrestlemania 2012 be Held?

I say bring wrestlemania to minnesota. The twins dont use the dome anymore the vikings are asking for a new stadium so if they get one in a couple of years they'll prolly tear it down. Plus the last two ppv's they've had in minnesota (bragging rights and judgement day) have just sucked. So bring it to minnesota and give us a good show for once.

where would I like:
Aztec Stadium, Mexico City

where I think is gonna be:
Skydome, Toronto (or Rogers centre)

IMO, toronto has all the odds to be the host for wrestlemania 28 (XXVIII) Over 60,000 people, in a domed stadium... I bet WWE sees no risks on going there.

They need to bring Wrestlemania to the UK, its about fucking time

The UK has always been a loyal fanbase for the WWE, and we have had 1 SummerSlam and a couple of minor PPVs (Insurexxion/Rebellion), and I think we deserve the big one.

What would be the problem? Most people in the US watch it on PPV anyway, so I am thinking the time difference which would affect most of the US must be the only thing stopping Vince from bringing WM across the pond. Am I right? Or is there another reason why WWE will not give us Wrestlemania? It would definitely sell out Wembley stadium no question about it!

I agree. Wembley Stadium would be the place. Bringing it to the UK (and more importantly such an important global city like London) would show how worldwide WWE really is.

I think it would be great for WWE in breaking into the UK mainstream as the media no nothing about the industry. Wrestling is hardly ever covered in the media. And when it is, it is either negative or there are glaring inaccuracies. The UK has enough wrestling fans to sell it out many times over. Add to that the inevitable slew of international fans and you have one of the biggest WrestleMania attendances ever.

The only other problem (apart from the time difference) is the weather. It's so unpredictable. The roof is retractable to an extent and I'm sure that WWE could provide temporary covering for the other part.

Also, Wembley Stadium has 2,618 toilets, more than any venue in the world. If that's not reason enough I don't know what is.

We need wrestlemaina in London, doubt it will ever happen as we havent had a proper ppv here since 1992, dunno why, if you fill up wembley stadium with fans paying british tickets prices, your gonna make money. We have such a strong fan base here i think wrestlemania here would be incredible.

i would love wm to return to indianapolis. this would be the perfect year for it to return to naptown. think about it, it would be the 20th anniversary from the last time indy held wrestlemania back in 1992 back at wm 8. and on top of that, it could be history for the same city to hold a superbowl and wrestlemania in the same year. lucas oil stadium ive heard is just huge and fully capible to hold the event and with all the stuff planned for superbowl, would be easily able to handle the fan axxcess events also. the hall of fame ceremony could be held at the smaller conseco fieldhouse holding easily 15 thousand people jus for that.the hoosier dome handled wm 8 perfectly and the much larger lucas oil could accomodate wm 28 with ease. not to mention all the downtown resturants and hotels and nightclubs for older fans. plenty of site seeing is there including the race track. damn i jus realized i sound like more of a city official pitching this then a fan. but its jus my thoughts. and besides, the superstars are pretty familiar with our nightlife after all for ive seen them enjoy our entertainment venues late night myself.

Before i even seen the replies...i was thinking Cowboys Stadium...i bet Vince could come real close to 100000 there, with putting seats on the field, and standing room only.

To be honest, i cant think of a better money maker for both the WWE, and Jerry Jones...i can only imagine the amount of people and money involved...WOW

I say it goes to indianapolis people are talking about the new cowboys stadium but what about the new lucas oil stadium that was built a couple of years ago? And the super bowl is being held there next year and they usually like to place wrestlemanias in recent superbowl stadiums

The Toronto rumor has been out there for a while and with WWE's past success there I'd say it's the favorite to get WM28. I'm sure Vince would love to get mania into the new stadium in Dallas sometime soon but I don't think it would be as soon as 2012. For those who want mania in Europe, it's just not going to happen. I understand your desire to have mania in your hometown, but let's be realistic. The time difference is too big an obstacle to overcome; especially in the internet age. Japan? I think there's a better chance of mania on the moon. Milwaukee? Possible but not very likely. Cleveland? Maybe in the 90s, but Vince wants a big stadium for mania these days and Cleveland doesn't have one. Michigan Stadium? It would be awesome if they could sell it out but that's a big if. Also and outdoor stadium in Michigan in late March/early April is not a good idea. I thought I saw St. Louis mentioned. This is a good idea. A big dome in a city rich in wrestling history. What's taken so long? Indianapolis? Probably very soon. My choice would be The Superdome in New Orleans. I'm with JJ15776. Giving mania to a city that's been through hard times would be a great boost. Their economy could use it. New Orleans is a cool town and the Superdome seems like a mania venue. WrestleMania on Bourbon Street. Has a nice ring to it.

I know this probably won't happen but what about Cleveland Ohio? It has the Quicken Loans Arena. People from Ohio are crazy about Pro Wrestling, including me. It would make great money from ticket sales. And think about the publicity, with the whole Lebron thing it would get fans interested in Cleveland again.

Naw, quicken loans is fucking tiny bro. I believe its just over 20k seats, every year we seem to come closer and closer to 100k people at one stadium. I say if you want a place in Ohio to go and its warm enough go to the horseshoe. Dude its outside the field is big enough and compared to the Quicken Loans arena its a frickin mansion.

One in the arena its just a basketball court, Its tiny I've been out on it actually. Ware are we putting the entrance ramp? What about thoes uber long intrances? Taker would have to shuffle his feet to get through half of his song. Its just not a good choice, the horseshoe is better if you can find a warm enough day. Big field, you have the tunnel to do entrances from, and the locker rooms are amazing. It also seats 102k people.

I would like it to be in Toronto so I could attend. But according to Wikipedia The cowboys stadium has been confirmed by wwe as the host of next years wrestlemania. I don't know If this is accurate or not but if it is then I guess Vince wants to break the hundred thousand barrier, which would be cool and a might big crowd to perform in front of. I sure Toronto will get Mania 29 or the early 30's as I suspect Wrestlemania 30 to take place in Madison Square Garden.

Torronto seems very likely. Everytime the WWE goes there its always a huge deal. The crowd and fans love it there. I haven't read over every response but I'm sure little to none have mentioned Mexico City. Their Aztec Stadium is the fifth largest Stadium in the world according to wikipedia. Mexico is known for their love for wrestling and everytime WWE goes there, they usually have a good turn out. The only problem is will the American fans actually travel the distance to Mexico City? Could you imagine the pop for "hometown" heros like Alberto Del Rio and Rey Mysterio. Plus the WWE is looking to draw from outside of United States correct? Mexico City wouldn't be a bad choice. Its either there, or Kentucky for me.:)

I would LOVE for WrestleMania to come back to Toronto because TO hasn't had a PPV since 2006 (whereas Florida has had 5, including WrestleMania XXIV and the upcoming Extreme Rules 2011, and Miami alone has hosted Survivor Series 2007 and, most recently, Survivor Series 2010... stop being so damn greedy...) Toronto is long overdue for a WWE PPV. Whether or not it's WrestleMania 28, I don't know, but I hope it is.

Where SHOULD it be? If Undertaker is around long enough to go 20-0 at WrestleMania, Texas would be a good place to do that. The pop would be insane.

So yeah I live in Toronto. I remeber when my local news (CP24) if anyone knows that news station, well they said Wrestlemania was coming to Toronto in 3 or 4 years and this was back in 2008. Well Toronto didnt get it in 2010 So my guess would be 2012. The stadium that it would most likely be held at would be Rogers Centre formerly known as Skydome which has a hotel in it. And a guy took a picture of them doing screen tests about Welcoming wrestlemania Here it is below.

If Wrestlemania is going to be held in Toronto, I am going to do everything I can to be there.

I've never been to one before so I'm really hoping TO gets to host it.

While I would love the big event in Toronto so I could attend. If you look up the cowboys stadium in Texas on Wikipedia it says that it was confirmed by wwe as the official venue of Wrestlemania 28. I can't be sure if this is true or not, I'll just wait for the official announcement.

OMG OMG, please if this is true i am going for sure
I live in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan and it would be quite a drive their but screw it im going
I NEED TO SEE WRESTLEMANIA LIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
you sir have just made my day!

Nah they just had a Wrestlemania in Texas. They are due for the Skydome again. WM 6, WM 18,...WM 28? Yeah it's time. And WM 30 of course should go back to MSG.

That'll be Edge retiring that night then.... I always remember the Skydome from WM6, it looked like an impressive venue.

I still want to see one in Europe, time differences be damned... WWE should take the plunge as by then most of their main event will be English or Irish....

Also if you guys think about it Toronto hasnt had a PPV since 2006. We are long over due for a PPV, we dont have a PPV event coming to Toronto this year (well UFC is coming but thats another story) and we really deserve it because we love WWE.

Also think about it what if the UFC event coming in Toronto this April beats the Attendance record that Wrestlemania brought in an attendance that has still been unable to be beaten. WWE would obviously take the oppurtunity to get back there spot for Attendance Record

This has been heavily rumored since before I knew that Mania 27 was going to be at the Georgia Dome. So, this isn't really news to me.

I figured they would be trying to get Mania at Lucas Oil pretty soon.

Honestly I'm disappointed in this. I was really rooting for Indianapolis, Indiana at the Lucas Oil Stadium. It has been 10 years since the last Wrestlemania in Toronto and they have had what 3? Indy's though has been 20 years since the last Wrestlemania and that was the only one to be held there. Also I think Dallas would be nice but they would need something huge on the card honestly for Dallas.

Being from Ottawa, This makes me very very happy. The only bad thing for me is the regular 4 hour drive will be ******ed with all the out of town traffic. The Location is not only good for me but it should be great for the sales. Rogers Center is a large place (I watched A Blue Jays Yankees series there) as it holds about 70 000 people and the attached hotel is not only close but is very good quality. There is a Hard Rock that has a view of the field. As other people have posted the UFC event is only going to help build up Toronto as a great venue.

And THT Rogers Center is really jawdropping building...especailly if the roof is open, seeing the CN tower that close is just fasinating, I just feel that this is the best news that I'll hear for atleast a week.

I'd love to see it go to Canada. The trip would be somewhat shorter for me to go to Toronto that it will be for my trip to Alabama, and drive to Atlanta for WM 27. TO deserves it though. That crowd at the sky dome for WM 18 was absolutely off the chain.

I live in Australia and ever since I watched WrestleMania 18 at a friends house, I was in love with the city of Toronto and the Rogers Center.

If it is in Toronto, I'll be taking leave and attending. Hopefully its true. Would make a bit of sense as it'll been 10 years since WrestleMania 18.
