Where did all the MEN go?

HonkyDong Man

Dark Match Jobber
For someone who grew up on Deep Purple's epic "Perfect Stranger" and Championship Wrestling/Superstars of Wrestling/ SNME in the mid 80s Im sad to see how much the political correct straitjacket has ruined everything that was fun.

Today every wrestler has a 1.4k dollar suit, trimmed hairline and a tan. Where did all the men go? The ones with hair on their chest? The ones that sweared? The ones that gave you the finger?

Where did the likes of Bill Eadie (Ax), Johnny Valiant and Jesse Ventura go?

The Miz? Cena? Cody? No sorry, they dont connect!

Am I the only one who miss the real MEN in wrestling?

Anyone can have chest hair and curse, fuckwit. But you tend to need a big-boy job to support your addiction to $1,400 suits. #ModernMan

Coco - you're one of my favourite posters, but with all do respect you're missing the point here.

Im obviously from a, if not a different breed, then at least from a different time-frame.

To me two guys who slug it out cant be a couple of Nancys who beat each other to death with a twitter-handle. It has to be two men.

A real man wouldn't be trying to convince children on the internet of this.

Daniel Bryan has hair all over the place and no tan. Randy Orton flips off fans. Ryback destroys everybody. What more do you want?

Wait... I know what you want?

If you are looking for these types of MEN, may I recommend truck stop bathrooms Dong man?

I get the point though. It's hard to believe Sheamus loves to fight when he clearly spends countless hours getting his hair to look a certain way.

GSB - no Im not a homo. Not that I have anything againt men who takes it up the shitter.

Im just saying - where did the MEN go? The men that wasn't obsessed with their looks, their shoes or whatever.

I have followed your post for a while and I know you're a grown man. You must admit, the guys today are just boys..boys who couldn't take shit if they ever got in a bar fight.

Do you really expect things to stay the same forever? The definition of a "real man" has changed drastically from 1985 in every walk of life, not just wresting. This isn't a wrestling problem, it's a society problem. Well, it's actually not a problem at all as the modern "real man" is a much more well-rounded human being, but it's a problem for you, and I understand that.

Remember Sylvester Terkay? He was kind of what you're talking about. See what happened to him? No one cared about him.

Wrestling has evolved past that. Maybe it's time you evolve with it.

Plus you talk about guys that are tan now but look at the wrestlers that were big in the '80s. Guys like Hogan, Savage and Warrior. They all had tans to enhance their look. Non of them swore on a regular basis that I can remember. Flair who was one of the biggest names from the '80s wasn't this "manly man" that you're going on about.

You should report me to Al Jazeera... And you still piss on Jesus.

JGlass - ofc I know that things have changed since the 80's. But I dont have to like it.

And you're right - this is a society problem more than a wrestling "problem".

T'is the season. You can do better than semi.

None of your business.

"I dont know how long it will last, but I'll never regret the past. When Im waking up tomorrow I'll be looking around for you. I got no ticket but Im gonna take a fucking ride..."

Coco - you are in your early/mid 20's but your mind is that of a 40 year old. ( And I say that with all do respect) You know what Im saying here?

If on Monday, while the Miz or Punk or whomever is talking, and Ernest Hemingway doesn't come down to the ring and whip some ass, I don't know what I'll do.
