When Will HBK Return?

zags

Occasional Pre-Show
With just over 4 weeks until Wrestlemania when will HBK be brought back to boost the HHH Lesner program further and/or Wrestlemania in general? Since he retired he's been involved at Wrestlemania someway each year (Hall Of Fame, Referee). Summer Slam he got pulled from HHH's corner so will he be put into HHH/Lesner II? If so how? If not is this the year he won't be involved on the show at all? Hard to imagine Wrestlemania season without Mr. Wrestlemania especially when he will be at the fan events leading up to Wrestlemania.

It will probably be the Lesnar/HHH feud but I want him to get involved with Punk/Taker or at least both. HHH/Lesnar is very obvious. Just get his arm broken to piss off HHH. Shawn Michaels is above that. I can foresee HBK being ringside for the match at Mania.

Just one Raw, it would be fantastic if HBK was talking about all his WM achievements and obviously notes he lost to Taker. He adds that if he couldn't do it and his best friend couldn't do it means that no-one can. Punk comes out. Tells him he can because he is the best in the world (better than HBK) and really make us feel Punk has a chance. Book him so that it seems he is better than Flair, HHH, HBK, Orton, Show, Henry etc put together.

I feel that Lesnar/HHH and Punk/Taker really sells themselves... I'd do something a bit more light hearted and "fun" have him corner the New Age Outlaws in a four way elimination tag match against Hello No, PTP and Rhode Scholars. This should make for an entertaining buildup.

The only way I would be interested in seeing HBK at Mania was as a surprise interference in the HHH/Lesnar match for a Sweet Chin Music as payback for Lesnar breaking his arm. He's not really needed for the build anymore, as Vince already provided the necessary segway to rekindle the feud between Hunter and Brock.

Just throwing him in somewhere for the sake of having him there seems kind of thoughtless, especially putting him as a manager to the New Age Outlaws considering they really have no history. Two completely different D-X entities.

HBK is my favourite wrestler of all time but if the role isn't organic I don't want him at Mania, I hope WWE don't bother forcing a scenario just so he can be on the show. My personal preference would be him helping Triple H beat Brock but I don't see Triple H letting anyone get in on the act as he'll want to pin Lesnar clean.

I do think a mic segment between Punk and HBK on Raw would be a decent idea as I can't see 4 weeks of promos between Punk and Taker.

If we see hbk during this "season"... It shouldnt be until WM itself. SCM to Brock is in order, and a DX celebration at Mania would be nice to see. Its only fitting for Michaels to get some sort of revenge for that broken arm..

Michaels should be the equalizer to Paul Heyman in this, but I have a funny feeling that they might use Stephanie a little more strongly this time around...

HHH will not let a win over Brock look weak and having HBK kick Rock does just that.

As for Punk vs Taker, there's no reason for Shawn to be involved there. There would be no pay off, plus Taker matches should never have any interference. Last year, because it made sense, was fine.

Maybe, Shawn can do commentary for H vs Brock?

I am largely a fan of HBK and for the same reason I don't want him brought back simply for the sake of bringing him back. What is the point of him sticking his nose into the Punk/Undertaker match when he has little reason to care of the outcome? If he does come back all I would want to see is a surprise Sweet Chin Music to Brock or Heyman out of nowhere and nothing more than that. This man has a legacy and I would rather not see it tarnished ala Flair.

Forget just coming back in a small role. I want to see him return to the ring to feud with Punk. That's all. If he leaves again after that, fine. But I want to see a feud with him and Punk with about 3 or 4 matches. Ending in a ladder match.

I agree totally with this. I could see him coming in and dropping Lesner with Sweet Chin Music to finally get his revenge, but that is about all I can see him doing this year. It was awesome seeing him ref the end of an era match last year, but unless they have something that good planned for him again this year I don't see the point in bringing him in.
