When the WWE Network launches, what's the 1st thing you're going to watch?

LODemolition

Championship Contender
So as everyone knows, the entire ppv library of WWE, WCW, and ECW will be made available when the WWE Network launches in just 17 more days. Not to mention every episode of Raw and Smackdown can be found in the touch of a button. I'm truly excited to check this out, and you can't beat the price of just $10/month. So what is the first show you'll watch and why?

I'm going straight to WMXVII. This is my favorite WrestleMania of all-time and it's been forever since I've seen it. Nearly every match on this card was entertaining. From Angle vs. Benoit, to the Shane vs. Vince street fight, to the Tag Team Title triple threat TLC match, the gimmick battle royal, Triple H and Taker taking the fight out into the crowd, and of course Austin's heel turn in the main event against The Rock. I cannot wait to watch this again in it's entirety.

A close 2nd for me is SummerSlam 1992, for the Bret Hart vs Davey Boy Smith IC Title match alone.

So what's at the top of your list?

I'd watch every raw and wcw monday nitro from the very first episode they clashed against until wcw's final episode.

Speaking of Nitro, I definitely want to go straight to the episode in May of '96 when Scott Hall walked down the steps and into the ring.

I could have sworn I replied to this thread already, or it could be on another board, but I’m going watch every Pay Per View. I’m going to start with Starrcade 1983 to WrestleMania 31. There are 427 PPVs there. I figure one PPV a day, 2 on Saturdays and 3 on Sundays, I should be able to finish before WM 31.

I'm not purchasing the Network since i can watch everything that's on there for free, but it is a great idea. Hopefully this network idea is successful.

I will probably watch 2004-2008 because I missed most of that. I stopped buying PPVs in like 1999 or 2000.

I will probably watch the debut of the nWo, because I actually don't think I ever saw it. I will probably watch the final episode of Nitro as well, again as much as I've heard about it, I don't think I ever saw it.

I think I might start out with Survivor Series 87 or 88, just to see if it really is all uncut, and to see if they do or don't have some music in. Or maybe Royal Rumble 1989. Another one to see would be Summerslam 92 to see if it has all the matches or not i.e the Papa Shango match I think.

Besides those 4 there isn't really much I want to see, besides just watching with friends for fun. And to see events I haven't seen in anything better then VHS quality, will be awesome watching the old WCW/NWA events in HQ.

But I might start off with first ECW big event and go from there. Or one that might really interest me is one like Bash at the Beach 2000, and maybe mostly those WCW PPV's from 1995 that I like most.

Just hard to say what I might watch first, prolly spend 2hrs just browsing to find out what all they have, maybe find a gem that I never seen before and watch it, like a ECW PPV, or maybe on of those rare WCW ppv's in the 90s, or a IYH event.

Watching ECW gratuitously violent hacks just slicing each other with blades doesn't sound interesting in any fashion.

Ok The First PPV I want to watch is the First WCW PPV I had Ever Seen. Starcade 91, The Battle Bowl. With the Lethal Lottery. And Just Keep Going from there and watch the whole Dangerous Alliance Era.

I am going to start off with Survivor Series as i always have been a fan of that at least up until 2005 or so! After that its all the ECW PPVs with Joey styles crapping in his pants screaming OH MY GOD

Does nobody care about the major editing and blurring the WWE does?

They blur out WWF logo in their PPV's.... they change the licensed theme music to generic music. Example: Edge's Rob Zombie theme. So "original" is not original.

They did it in the WM box set, and i assume they will do it in the network.

I find it unwatchable when they do that.

I'm leaning towards one of the dedication shows they did for Owen, Benoit and Eddie or the 1st draft episode.

Watching all of the Nitros and Late 90's-Early 2000's RAWs. More interested than that any PPV.

Also that Monday Night War mini-documentary looks interesting.

Also the mid 2000's, pre-2006 RAWs/Smackdowns, wasn't paying attention at that time.

Really hoping a lot of Nitro/Thunder/RAW/Smackdown is available at launch day.

I highly doubt they'll be blurring the scratch logo or cencoring the "F" in WWF. The restriction that was in place surrounding that ended in 2012. But they'll have to censor some of the music still, unless they want to pay for the liscencing again, but I doubt it.

I think the first thing I'll check out is ECW Barely Legal. I've never seen it in its entirety, only certain matches.

Old ECW programming. I'm talking about the bingo hall stuff, not the watered down "ECW" that was part of the WWE brand.

The Wrestling Classic in its entirety from October 1985, followed by The Big Event from August 1986, cards never released on DVD but great shows from back in the days of limited to no ppvs..

Is it going to be an updated version of ON DEMAND or is it going to be an actual network with a set schedule? I haven't heard either way, but calling it a network instead of a VOD service should lend it to being a scheduled station such as AMC or HBO with set shows airing at set times. IF so then the first thing I'll watch if I ever get it is whatever is playing in order to get a sense of the quality of the programming lineup. If it's VOD style choose what you want, then Every taker PPV appearence since his debut.

It all depends on how it's structured. I've heard that "The Monday Night Wars" section featuring the Nitro's and Raw's of that era would not be available in full like the rest of the Raws and Smackdowns. I read that like the WWE Classics OnDemand, they will release each show periodically. However, the WCW, ECW, WWE PPV's will all be available...but I'm not sure about ECW tv programming. Kinda sucks...I just want everything available at once.

To the OP...about Wrestlemania 17...I have the DVD, and that Limp Bizcuit song "My Way" was replaced with "Adrenaline Rush" or whatev which is a HUGE tainting effect on that ppv and of course the epic main event. Who would've ever thought a song could have that much impact.

I stopped watching shortly after Mania 18, because I was disgusted by the merger and Invasion Angle (but stuck around when Flair and the NWO came for Mania 18) but didn't like Jericho main eventing against HHH...and the icing on the cake was the name change...WWF-WWE. When they said "get the F out" I certainly did.

With that said, I'd probably start from there 2002 and stop at 2011 (Rocks return) where I came back in. I wanna see Goldberg, Steiner, Evolution, new NWO, the new/bald/intense Kurt Angle, Brock, red and yellow Hogan, King Booker, rise of Cena, etc since I only saw bits and pieces here and there if I was home or years later on YouTube.

For me, my first item of choice to watch will very likely be Survivor Series 1990, it was the debut of The Undertaker. That alone has me sold, I am looking very much forward to what the WWE Network will be offering the fans, and the fact that the WWF censorings will be undone, thank f'n heavens for that. No more of this nonsense with having to deal with audio and ESPECIALLY visual references to the WWF scratch logo being done.

It's going to be an awesome time going down memory lane with this service, majorly stoked. Can't wait to see the discussion threads for opinions on it once launch day is here!

The RAWs and Nitros and the like will not be OnDemand (at least not all of them, and not right off the bat). The only thing that will be there in its entirety is the list of PPVs that was released a week or so ago.

For me, I'm headed for Royal Rumble '99. 11 chairshots. I want to see if I love it like I did when I was 17, or find it barbaric.

I'm going straight to ECW. Nothing like some good old fashioned carnage. After i get tired of that though I'm heading straight to the horseman era so I can watch my boy Ric in his prime, I'm sure they have a lot of his promos and things that I've never seen that should be interesting just to see how it compares to the best promo guys we have today.

I'm going to watch Royal Rumble 2004 just to make sure they didn't cut off Chris benoit's entrance/commentary. If they didn't cut it then I'm buying it!
I'm going to agree with EFWFigureStopMotion on this one. I'm curious how legit the "unedited" matches actually are. Then I'm going to ecw.
