What's The Best Match You Missed Watching During A Live Broadcast?

You ever say, "ehh, screw it. I got a date," and miss the PPV or what have you? Then, you get home, check results and hear about this one, incredible match. You then go back and watch it on some site and realize that live, this bout would have been so much better?

It happened to me, relatively recently. Not the best match, but a nice one. I'll post the best one I can think of later. The match was Kurt Angle-Lance Storm on Smackdown! It was a 5 or 7 minute match, something like that, and I just took a phone call. When I came back, I missed one of the matches I was looking forward to. Years later, I saw it on youtube and decided to check it out and I realized how good of a match I missed.

I hate to say it but, I actually skipped watching a LIVE Wrestlemania to take who is now my EX shopping. I skipped Wrestlemania 25 to be exact. I am so ashamed of myself til this day. HBK/Undertaker was indeed amazing and I kicked myself for a week for missing it.

I was arrested when I was 15 and I couldn't watch HHH vs The Rock at Judgment Day 2000 in their Ironman Match. I had to go to WWF New York, when it still existed, and buy the VHs.

Kurt Angle vs Marty Janetty on Smackdown. I missed it but downloaded it the week after. Amazing stuff.

Also, Angle fought AJ Styles in a LMS and I missed it, but also downloaded the match after hearing how great it was.

There isn't a specific match that I can remember, but I missed the initial nexus invasion. Luckily I saw the replay the next day before they cut out the tie part, but I missed it live. I don't have an excuse for missing it other than that entire episode of Raw was terrible (It was viewers choice night I think) and I couldn't bare to watch anymore so I flipped it the channel. It was 2 hours and 50 minutes of crap only to be saved by a huge ending and I missed it. I know I wasn't the only one that missed it thought because I talked to numerous people that quit watching that God awful episode before it was over so I felt a little better about it.

RAW were Shawn Michaels battled Shelton Benjamin in the Gold Rush Tourney.

I didn't see it until I bought the RAW 15th annivesary of RAW DVD. It was awesome. Benjamin was defintley underated and was let go pre-maturely.
And evryone loves HBK...classic match.

For me, it's simple. Wrestlemania XX. Triple H vs HBK vs The Wrestler That Shall Be Forever Erased From WWE History (Chris Benoit). After all, you had 3 of the best workers of this generation all in the ring.

I missed the match between Triple H and John Cena on Raw. The one where I think Cena kicked out of the pedigree like twice and then he finally fell to it. i don't remember what I was doing, but I really wanted to watch that one. I think it was the only thing I didn't see from that episode. After I came back from whatever I was doing all I got to see was Cena getting cheered as he was walking up the ramp.

Ive always been a die hard Steve Austin fan. I hated the whole "What" era as I thought it diluted his character to where he could never fully recover. But during that time he had his feud with Kurt Angle. Kurt had finally beat Austin for the title and they had a rematch on Raw, I wish I could remember the month. I remember thinking they almost NEVER switch the world title on Raw, and Kurt was due for a solid title run, but I was still excited for the match.

Well I fell asleep. Needless to say I was very pissed off the next day when I was on one of the dirtsheet websites and saw Austin had actually won the match and the World title, in what was supposedly a pretty darn good match at that.

I forget which Wrestlemania it was but I bought the ppv just for the Hogan vs Warrior match. Figured I had time to run to get pizza only to get stopped because of an accident. Got back in time to see the Warrior and Hogan hug! That sucked!

it wasn't a match, but I was (still am an HBK mark) and after he was fired as WWF commissioner, a few months later he randomly showed up an joined JR and King on commentary for the whole night. Summer of 98 I believe, and I was at a play rehearsal and the VHS didn't record. Caught the last 5 minutes and was so pissed when i heard his voice and I had missed it...

Mine was the Warrior/Hogan match too. I was a HUGE Warrior fan, and so wanted him to beat Hogan, I watched all the rest and then fell asleep just before the match (I was 14yrs old), no VCR and I lived in a pissant town that had no video store, I think it took me about 10yrs to see that match. Gutted, my friends told me how it ended but it just wasnt the same. As for tvcolosi, I dont know if I saw that RAW with HBK commentating but if I didnt i am pissed. HBK is king.

I missed most of the Invasion storyline and Jericho unifying the titles. I was in boot camp at the time, but it was great to hear my favorite wrestler beat the Rock and Austin in back to back matches.

michels vs cena hour long match on raw from japan. saw it later cena best match he has ever had. an i dont like cena. shawn on the other hand could put that match on every night and u would swear it was different each time. one of the top five performers of all time in my book

The RVD vs Eddie Gurrero lader match that was on raw. I was watching raw that could't wait and then fell asleep like a dumb ass I felt so stupid when heard what great match it was.

On side note i almost missed goldberg vs hogan on monday nitro. but got home just in time to watch it lol.

i remember a few years ago back in 2005 i think i missed Shawn Michaels vs John Cena in an hour match on raw all because of there being a school dance i decided eh one raw whats the worst that can happen next day when i heard about this match i was kicking myself for not seeing it course a couple of years ago watched it on youtube and kicked myself even worse for missing it live over a school dance that saw my then girlfriend leave me for some guy on the football team
