What's next for MVP?

The Legend

Dark Match Jobber
Lately, on Smackdown, MVP has been just been thrown into matches.
He is going nowhere. He needs to be in a feud because he's such a talent, but he has dropped back to tag teams with Mark Henry while on Raw and never had one storyline. So whats next for MVP on Friday nights?

MVP will most likely turn heel sometime soon. Like I mentioned in another thread i see MVP taking out Undertaker on the VIP lounge and taking his spot in Fatal 4 Way just incase the Undertaker is not able to compete due to the injuries he's sustained last week on SmackDown against Rey Mysterio.

Hartvict i really hope your prediction comes true if so it's been much anticipated and long awaited(by me at least)ever since he came to raw

Why the hell would UT be in the VIP Lounge? I get the rest of your post and all that is completely possible, but The VIP Lounge? Actually, that'd be pretty hilarious.

I like MVP, I always have, but I honestly have given up all hope with him. The fans just do not give a fuck. Sure, they all chime in on the "BALLIN!" thing, but they're dead as fuck during the entrance and you can hear dust settle during the matches. Dude's a solid performer and has a really great look (homeboy is fuckin stacked without his shirt.) Unfortunately, no one gives a shit about him. Kind of blows to be honest, he has a lot of potential.

I've never liked MVP before he went to Smackdown, he just seemed to be dull and not doing much. But now he's changed. Being a mid-carder on Smackdown is better than being a mid-carder on Raw. You get more storylines and TV time.
I see him entering a feud with CM Punk and the SES. Since moving to Smackdown he has teamed with Rey twice to face Gallows and Punk, and faced Gallows one-on-one twice. It would look like that is the direction they are taking him in.
MVP doesn't need to turn heel, he's doing well as a face and is over with the crowd. He just needs a good feud.

I like Mvp hes a good wrestle and he can be fan faviorte if vince lets him in a heel ....

Him a cristian should battle asgtian ziggler and chavo .... witch sparks a feud bettween the two and then after ziggler wins the title after vickie says u can have a match ....

then ziggler (the champ of world) vs mvp in TLC match ...... and mvp wins ...

it would open it up ....... mvp could become a big superstar .. and ziggler and chavo

what ya rekon ey ? luke :)

i preety much agree with nate why the hell would taker appear on the v.i.p lounge, it odesnt suit the gimmick and even if he did the wwe would be stupid to give m.v.p that last spot because just like swagger that would be a push gone too fast, a push needs to happen bit by bit not all at once

Hopefully the unemployment line. MVP is just not an interesting character at all. He fills in a spot with nothing interesting whatsoever. his character is just a guy that is a good guy and wears red and talks about being a big deal. There's nothing substantial there whatsoever and he's just boring. He serves no purpose and is taking up TV time and a spot for someone that is interesting. He's not that good in the ring and has no substantial talent in any specific area.

More being shit, followed shortly by a pink slip. So yeah, pretty much what KB said. There is nobody on the roster that I would be interested in being paired with, nor any match I would like to see from him. He's barely a step up from JTG, the useless, irritating piece of crap that he is.

I'd disagree. He's no Dwayne Johnson, but he's certainly less shit than you make him out to be. When given the chance, he's very good on the mic, and decent enough in the ring. When he's a heel, he can be quite the douche, which is something I find to be an attribute to the heel. When he's a face, he can pump the crowd up and already has those signature "5 Movez" that get the crowd ready and pumped for the finisher. I think that if we weren't in a PG Era and restricted on what the wrestlers can and can't say, MVP would be way more interesting. But even in this PG Era, he does good enough to deserve his roster spot and hopefully sticks around the company to put the young-ins over and basically be the new Kane. Because Kofi Kingston is going to be the token black guy of the new era.

Ironically.

For one thing, Kofi is LIGHT YEARS better than MVP as he's actually, you know, good. MVP stands around and acts like a Deion Sanders rip-off that wasn't interesting when Elix Skipper did it and isn't interesting now. He has a catchphrase and a signature taunt. In other words, he's a black Scotty 2 Hotty. His finishing move changes about once a month and is never any good. He's never interesting as all he talks about is how great he is or how he used to be in prison, yet we never see anything about that. He's just stale on so many levels and plain as all hell. Horrible character and not a good worker at all. Even as a heel he was boring as all hell.

MVP made a great heel. Cocky, with fantastic mic skills. He had an awesome feud with Benoit and Matt Hardy. This babyface Cena clone gimmick that they threw at him doesn't work. He's lost all the credibility he ever had as a heel and that's ultimately why people have given up on him.

Turn him heel again. That's the only way I see MVP regaining his credibility.

MVP need a wardrobe change and he's been showing hints but coming out with his shirt off last week on smackdown and wrestling with it open. Image is everything in entertainment so if he wants to talk about being MVP he needs to look like one and give him a decent winning streak so he brag again about how he finna take over or some shit like that.

It depends if he turns heel (which I think he should) he should feud with either Rey Mysterio or Kofi Kingston perhaps over the IC title.
If he stays face I like many others would like to see him feud with Ziggler or Drew Mcintyre just after Summerslam.
Acouple of things I would say about MVP's new run on Smackdown is his new finisher, the 305 is WAY better than the playmaker and his tag matches with Rey Mysterio vs the SES have been good

This is actually a very good point, image does mean a great deal in the industry and his "Power ranger" outfit has always made it difficult for me to take him seriously. I remember back in 2007 when they were giving him a push they were going to change it; there was a report which said "WWE are looking to get rid of the 'power ranger' outfit because he is in better shape now than when he arrived, which is why the suit was used in the first place". but it was never done even though he is stacked! Then after his Matt Hardy feud they drafted him to Raw, turned him face, teamed him with Mark henry and let him stagnate for the whole year, losing all his credibility.

I was a huge fan of his when he debuted and I thought he would get a huge push, but somewhere around 2008/2009 it just stopped for no apparent reason when he was getting great heat.

Now he is back on Smackdown and is like you said showing signs of changing attire, wrestling without his shirt this past week. And it does let me take him a little more seriously when he doesn't look like a power ranger, and as I said before the guys stacke! But I think it is too little too late; he has lost all his steam and he isn't particularly young anymore - he will only have about 3/4 years of a main event career even if he did start getting pushed now

I'm gonna say heel turn, then fued with Kofi over the IC strap?
Why they turnt him face and then not putting him in matches is stupid, it lost him all his credibility as a face and even as a heel

So GET MVP AS A HEEL!

MVP is just not that good, and I do think he's very overrated. I did like his feud with Matt Hardy, but it wasn't anything special or epic. It was just a nice little feud. MVP's matches are always usually bad or very mediocre, and he's also not that good on the mic. He will not become world heavyweight champion any time soon or in the future, and I don't see him becoming the IC champion. Was MVP a better heel? Yes. He was surely a better heel than he is a face, and a heel turn might help him out. But again, a heel turn would only HELP him. He's not going to be put into the main event and he won't become world heavyweight champion.
