What Would You Do? [HYPOTHETICAL]

I'd absolutely have people getting over at his expense. I'd use an angle where Easy E says to him something along the lines of "Don't come crawling to us now you've fell out with Vince, expecting to be a big guy. You're nothing here". Make him work his way up, pushing people along the way. Also, I'd absolutely make him job to Amazing Red. Just for a laugh. Make him take the beating of his life out there.

Ok I'll go with it. If John Cena actually signed with TNA, I'd have a feeling that that means he'd actually be willing to put over talent (some thing he's been accused of not doing in the WWE, mind you). Start him out at the lowest of lows by having him face Shark Boy. Try to do his superman thing, get a massive amount of heat, which would be likely with the TNA crowd. And actually lose because of the fans destracting him. Keep that going for a few weeks against equally embarrassing "enhancement talent". Until his character realizes that crap ain't gonna cut it in TNA. Then slowly have him get the better of the same group of people by using a much more impressive set of moves, which those who saw his early matches knows for a fact he is very capable of doing. Then slowly, but surely, getting the fans behind him, which is possible for any wrestler if they show good in-ring chops. Then do the unthinkable, have him start to compete for the TNA X-Division title. Eventually win, hopefully after a fantastic series of matches against "the finest thing in life" Douglas Williams.
After what is hopefully a decent title reign, have him finally face a hopefully still heel AJ Styles. Really challenge the TNA fans' loyalty. If AJ wins showing John he's still got a way's to go, and the fans are STILL behind Cena, then you'll at least know they're on the right track.
Have him get one rematch. ONE rematch. And lose AGAIN. This is not to bury the most popular superstar alive, but rather to get more sympathy and set up a later feud. You could even have Anderson cause him the match. Then have those two feud to see who is arguably the best WWE alumnis, maybe add in Angle to that, but it's not entirely necessary. Have him get the better of Anderson after a series of 3 ppv matches, winning 2.
In the meantime, AJ is off losing the X-Division to god knows who and eventually winning the TNA title from again, god knows who. After Cena puts an end to the Anderson feud, have a tournament or poll or whatever Bischoff pulls out of his ass that month and eventually see Cena rise to the top of it. Challenge AJ Styles to a match for the TNA world title, hopefully at Bound for Glory. Then all you gotta do is have AJ and John have the absolute best match in the history of Bound For Glory, the company, or the entire industry itself. And Vióla. Super over TNA Cena.

Well I would hype the shit out of it and makes his debut match against one heel Samoa Joe or an X division wrestler and have him lose. Then later on in the night in the main event face champion AJ Styles (Homegrown) get's beat up by multiple superstars when John comes out to make the save. After giving the heel who beat him earlier an FU (Rename it) Give one to AJ Styles and then choke him out with the STFU using a chain.
AJ is forced to relinquish the championship and John Cena get's it and goes all dominant as AJ gets people to take on John but they all fail. Finally AJ comes back from Injury and they get into a match (Probably a street fight) AJ get's the win and then John will stay as a heel for a while till he likely goes back to the WWE.
I would lead this to a six month program with not even a tag match with the other and hope for the best of sales.

Been thinking of starting a thread like this but wasn't sure how it would go with people here. I've thought about this alot and well...I'd hype his tna coming after he debuts on a ppv as a complete shocker. only shocker tna has had as of recent memory i mean besides the hogan signing was when lashley appeared at lockdown last year. I would bring in cena in as a heel and have him ripping the tna fans and tna talent along with announcers. I'd have it get to a point where even the tna heels while being heels in their respective feuds still end up bangin up cena. Start cena off vs the ex wwe guys sayin wwe didnt think they could cut it anymore and blah blah, then have them move on to wcw guys and how wwe saw nothing in them and that the ones that left wwf for wcw are fools, have flair come out and cut a promo, finally have him start ripping on tna guys...shortly after this everyone is against cena...this leads up to a match with tna's golden boy with the crowd being split....winner by pinfall via styles clash....AJ Styles

Kurt Angle has been beaten down many times by AJ and company. Cheated out of the TNA title a few times. Kurt has enough, and says he has an old friend who will have his back.
At Bound for Glory its Kurt Angle vs AJ Styles for the TNA title. Everyone things that Kurts old friend is Frank Trigg, so AJ and company take him out. During the match, Kurt has complete control. When Kurt drops his straps and goes for the ankle lock, Beer Money come in to make the save. During the beat down, and by the way its a no DQ match, when out of no where a fan jumps the rail and enters the ring. He takes out Beer Money, and then takes AJ and drops him with his FU. Kurt takes the pin, and the win.

Kurt comes out, and says that he would like to introduce his old friend. We here that old song we all know, and out comes Cena.

I would not make it a surprise. Actually, I'd do the exact opposite and hype the shit out of Cena. I'd have all sorts of promos about how great he is, all the challenges he's overcome, all about the hustle, loyalty and respect. Kinda like a Rocky Balboa montage... The fans and everyone on the announce team would hate it. The crowd would boo, chant "TNA! TNA! TNA!", everyone in the back would be like, "Gimme a break!" Interview all the wrestlers and ask them how they feel, "I would break John Cena, show him how it is here in the big leagues. We don't cater to children here Cena, you're not superman anymore." - Shit like that.
I would hype him so much, the fans would get sick of it. Kurt Angle, being the current champion, would basically call Cena out at the next pay per view (doesn't matter which one) saying he won't show his face because he's scared TNA will tear his ass apart. Fast forward. The ppv starts. All the matches go as planned except for the fact that they keep playing John Cena promos non stop. In the back, after every match, the winning opponent is asked "What do you think is going to happen tonight? Who will win between Angle and Cena?" The wrestlers are sick of being asked about John Cena, they all scream about how much they loathe him and how they can't wait to show him a "warm welcome" here in TNA. The main event starts. Kurt Angle comes out and starts pacing back and forth in the ring. Minutes go by. Angle is fuming, "C'mon Cena! Get your ass out here!". Cena's music hits, but no Cena. Kurt Angle is absolutely furious. We get camera shots of the locker room walking away from they're TV's completely pissed off, like they're going to find him. Back to the ring, the music stops. Angle is freaking out, yanking on the ring ropes, screaming for Cena. Out of no where, the crowd goes ballistic and Cena comes in behind Angle. The Match starts...
Angle and John start exchanging wild right hands, back and forth, with Cena getting the upperhand. People in the audience are going insane. Cheering, but mostly boo's and all sorts of John Cena hate chants with a little "TNA! TNA! TNA!" going on - They're all on their feet. The announce team can't follow the action fast enough and they're screaming over their head sets. Cena throws Angle to the outside and they start exchanging again, one getting the better of the other. They throw each other into the railing, tossing ring steps, pushing camera men out of the way furiously. Back in the ring Angle hits a couple germans, but Cena reverses the third into the STF. Angle grabs the ropes and the ref counts very quickly to 4. That totally pisses Cena off and he hits the ref with an attitude adjustment out of the ring, but receives a massive angle slam for turning his back. Angle applies the ankle lock but Cena kicks him clear out of the ring. John goes to follow Kurt but gets hit with a chair for his troubles, and is tossed back in the ring. Kurt wails on Cena with the chair and out comes the locker room, each one hitting their finisher on Cena in between chair shots. The ppv goes off the air with Cena bloody and destroyed and Angle telling him, "If you want my title... if you want to survive here in TNA, you're gonna have to earn it!!!"
