What were your thoughts when it happened?

Mad Metal

Getting Noticed By Management
This should be pretty easy. Someone asks for your thoughts on anything in pro wrestling history such as events, controversial moves, etc., you answer the question and you insert your own question for the next poster.

Since I'm first I'll start.

What did you think at the very moment when you first heard the WWF changed their name to WWE?

My first thought was "why is it not ok to have the name WWF? They've been using it for 20 years and it was never an issue until now".

What did you think when the WWE announced they would be ressurecting ECW?

Excitement, mostly caused by the fact that Heyman was "in charge of it", and the fact that they signed a bunch of former ECW guys, the biggest names being Sandman and Sabu, and then we learned that they were moving Angle over to ECW, so it appeared like they were going to put some effort in to this, but then as soon as I found out that they were going to put Big Show on ECW as well, that excitement started to fade away, so basically when I first found out I was excited but that excitement faded with in a couple of weeks

OK now, What did you think when Angle was released from WWE?

I felt that it was a very bad move by WWE as they had just released the (disputable) best wrestler in the buisness.

I was just curious, thinking that someone broke into his house and killed him along side his family, or he just had a heart attack. I never thought it was going to be the way that it was and that he killed his wife, son and himself.

I was really surprised that they gave Edge a push (for 3 weeks), and was happy because back then is when I started getting bored with Cena. I wasn't all thrilled because my first pick to win the title was HBK.

As heartless as it sounds I didn't care all that much. I always thought he was over rated as a wrestler, and I was really annoyed with his gimmik. The low rider thing was more annoying than anything.

With that said I felt bad for his wife and kids, but unfortunately, thats life, and from what I've read, he's mostly to blame because of drug abuse, which really makes me have a small amount of pity.

Do you think WWE acted fairly to all their wrestlers regarding the Signature Pharmacy bust?

No not at all. Morrison only has to serve 29 days which i know isnt that big of a deal but only become he is 1 of the faces of ECW he was given a break. However chavo was made to serve all 60 days of his suspension. Then there is the whole Orton thing which is so unfair.

At first i was doubtful that all five would join the wwe i thought for sure Malinko was heading too japan but was nicely surprised that all but Dougles were brought in by the wwe. It was so weird seeing the four guys sitting at ringside when they first debut in the wwe. For me that was offical beging of the end of wcw

I distinctly remember thinking "oh shit, wrestling is about to go go downhill quick". Monopolies are never good for any business. I knew that there was not going to be a "WCW" anymore, even though the rumor at the time was that Vince would continue to air a WWE version of WCW.

What were your thoughts when Hogan made his giant heel turn and joined the NWO??

I thought it was GENIUS. I thought that this was exactly what hogan needed to freshen up his character. His good guy character in my mind was getting old and stagnant and I think he needed this whole angle to help out his career. But overall the move was genius

Holy damn, I have never been more upset with a main event result in my life. I can totally see how this was the downfall of WCW.

My friends and I sat down for Nitro and thought we were getting Goldberg vs Nash for the title. It was two big names going at it and we got this instead. That was the problem with WCW, they went for something shocking but forgot to give us something good.

What were your thoughts when Bret Hart went "Anti America" thus turning heel for the first time in a decade?
