Pre-Show Stalwart
y would he put ecw anywhere the smackdown tapeings the audiences are so different i mean there were children at the ecw tapeing then they had like that exhibitionist chick[i mean thats great and all but i mean children were there[[akwarrrd]]] it would be much more fitting to have it at the raw tapeing since they share a demographic this also has gotta hurt smackdown

haha i know... they should get heat & velocity back on tv! then have ECW totally seperate. Maybe even up the length to 2 hours or just have a few dark matches

What was Vince thinking? Thats the problem, he wasn't thinking. The real ECW isn't a children's show. Paul E. has got to send a message. Hopefully he gets the chance to explain himself to the ECW fans who were dissapointed about the show, and tells them next Tuesday's would be much better.

Why is it that we all see the problem but the people upstairs don't? The only thing I hope that will save the company is that the are rumored to have a TV taping on July 4 at the old ecw arena. You know they will be booed out of the building if they don't bring it.

Something tells me they see it, and Paul E and the ECW locker room, i'm sure has spoken up. I doubt this is a punishment for Paul E. and ECW. Vince could make a lot of money from this like he's making with all the ECW DVDs. the only thing i can think of is that he don't care because he is a billionaire allready anyway. If he blows this, he'll loose some WWE fans too who are really ECW fans.

He'd rather have the shows taped together then go through the expense of a seperate arena & new production crew.

Well, then children shouldn't be there. WWE does enough by advertising what the show is going to be, even on tv with the ratings TV PG, TV14, etc... that always show up on the screen. Even if Smackdown was rated TVPG and ECW was TV14, then the WWE will let it be known on what the rating for the show is going to be. The show would still be considered TV14, because they're also having the ECW tapings there. WWE isn't at fault by this at all, because you should know what you're getting yourself into by taking your children to a WWE show.

It's actually not a bad thing. This is a new generation for ECW. Tod Gordon's era was diffrent than the Heyman era, and same with Vince's ECW era. This calls for a new audience and a new fan base because this is something diffrent than it previously was in the past.

If it's in front of older generation fans, then all they'll continue doing is ripping the promotion live if it's not authentic of their beleif of what they think ECW should be and always has been since "day one".

It isn't Vince or WWE's job to babysit. After the first taping of ECW, if parents still choose to bring their kids to Smackdown, not to mention make the decision to stay for the ECW taping, that is the parents' problem, not WWE's.
