What To Do With Sheamus?

#SAWFT

Pre-Show Stalwart
Smackdown creative has been pitiful with ideas for the 'Celtic Warrior' ever since Christian got injured. Jinder Mahal?! Seriously?

Sheamus is a soon to be 'first time' World heavyweight champion. So, he needs a feud that will keep him going. I think a run against Mark Henry with really show of his ruthless side, and show he can be right up there against the champions, and heavyweights.

What do you think? Who should Sheamus feud with?

I believe Sheamus has already feuded with Mark Henry, in a way he started Sheamus face run, and Henry's heel run to the World Title.Honestly, Sheamus is going to get the World title, but I would love to see the new Kane...face Sheamus. The big Monster from the past means Sheamus..Matches could be great to watch...

Everyone seems rather busy right now, unless after the Henry/Show fued they bring in Sheamus. I'm looking at the roster and unless they use Brodus Clay (who is SD roster) the only other i think would be turning Big Zeke heel. I think working Sheamus and Clay would be good, not have Clay come out like he wanted uber monster but have a guy who is more than a match for Sheamus.

Just say...Mahal and Sheamus have just started their bout looks like Sheamus will have an easy win...BOOM! Clay comes out and gets in and lays Mahal out kicks him out the ring grabs the mic cuts a short and sweet promo saying this guy is to weak and you need someone to meet your match he hands the mic to sheamus and sheamus just smiles and jokes..."Like you?" but as soon as those words leave his mouth Clay lays him out to, would be a good start to a fued between the two. No way can WWE give Clay such a dominating run like he wanted, this would fit perfectly.

What are your thoughts on that?

I have to agree that putting him back against Henry is basically irrelevant at this point considering there were each othere Summerslam feuds. Big Show wouldnt be bad, its just thats a Face vs Face which doesnt happen much.

I really like the idea of turning Zeke! He has potential and usually Sheamus brings out the best in other guys.

Sheamus vs. Brodus Clay would be another great feud but they want Clay looking strong on his return and Sheamus isnt exactly a guy to put over easily with his size, strength, etc.

There isnt much of anyone on SD really. I liked what Jsutin LaBar said about maybe Sheamus vs. Daniel Bryan for WHC. Thatd be awesome considering those who where really looking forward to this match at last years mania(me) got kind of screwed!!!

But If no one on Sd, then definatley KANE! I mean anyone vs Kane is good right now but a battle or the Big Red Machine and The Big Red Monster, Id love to see that!!!

I was thinking the same with Clay and Sheamus but if and it's a big if that creative could make them both battling warriors.

Zeke is a good match but is he really worth an upper midcard fued, his size would say yes, but the rest of him just doesn't pull me in. He's like a weaker Ahmed Johnson in my eyes.

Henry/Show should be over after TLC, so, like others have said, Sheamus will probably get into a feud with Henry going into the Rumble. Sheamus' momentum has slowed a bit, but all it takes is one good storyline to get the people to care about him like they did a month ago. They could use the fact that their mini-feud earlier this year, where Sheamus turned face, never really had a resolution, as their Summerslam match ended in a countout. Sheamus is interesting and likeable as a face, so I'm sure the fans will get behind him in a pursuit of the World Title. He's too big a star now to let him do nothing for this long.

Yeah, I think Sheamus should feud with Henry over the WHC for a storyline for both men. (Henry's feud with Show, in my opinion, should end after TLC, while Sheamus does not really have a feud.)

I honestly think having Sheamus facing anyone at the RR is a little bit silly, I'd have him heel turn just before the rumble... turning on that little hobbit Hornswaggle (who has completely removed any credit for previous heel activity and feuds), and go in and win it.

Now, as much as I think it may be Barrett that will win, I would like to see a heel Sheamus enter and eliminate a handful of much smaller competitors to make him look like a complete and utter monster, leaving the RR the victor with major heat leading in to 'mania.

A change in champion would mean Big Show making Sheamus look a lot stronger than he actually is, thus becoming the new, young, monster heel.

In an around about way I'm trying to say that Sheamus just can't be a face, he doesn't have the look for it, I'd like to see him Brouge Kick a couple of people, and be a bit of a beast. Winning the WHC at 'mania would be a turnaround for him, then have a heel vs heel thing with Barrett?

I'm getting ahead of myself here, but that's what needs to be done.

Am i the only one pissed that they never followed up on the HHH/Sheamus feud? He took HHH out for months! And then HHH comes back, puts him through a table and thats it?! i would love to see a heel HHH face Sheamus at mania with Sheamus winning and looking strong doing so

Should make him feud with Clay if he if turns up that is! Putting him in matches with Swagger and Jinder Mahal is pointless. He is a very popular face at the moment so they need to have him in a feud with a monster heel or make him battle against D-Bryan.

The problem is Smackdown roster is thin. You got Orton/Barrett, Henry/BigShow/Daniel Bryan and Rhodes/Booker all working together. Since Christian got hurt their really isn't anybody good enough for Sheamus to feud with left on Smackdown.

Since they are doing supershows they might as well give him somebody on Raw to work with. They cant just keep putting him in glorified squash matches every week... fans will start losing interest in him.

I think its high time they brought back
Drew McIntryre.

He's tall and well built enough to keep Sheamus occupied for sometime. It would look believable for Drew to beatdown Sheamus for a while(during a match of course) . It doesn't need to be a 3 minute squash match, and if worked well can be a decent feud. Not GREAT, but decent and definitely better than the Jinder Mahal crap they've been airing for a while.

Sheamus hasn't had a great feud recently. He has had only two feuds to be specific i.e Mark Henry and Christian. Apart from these he has been squashing jobbers. Creative team has no idea where Sheamus should go. He is having matches randomly and this worries me. Why does Sheamus face Jinder Mahal or Heath Slater every week? Why not put him with a man who can feud with him and make things interesting? I think he will win this years Royal Rumble but I don't expect him to be in a good feud before Royal Rumble.

I would have him feud with Drew McIntyre. Drew has been winning matches lately on Superstars and I think they will bring him back to Smackdown soon. So, the best feud for him will be against Drew McIntyre. Brodus Clay will be on Raw so, I don't expect him to feud with Sheamus so early.

Just my two cents.

I liked when the Push Sheamus back when he was on Raw. In reality is was an accident which caused him to Win the WWE Championship but once he lost the Momentum from that the just stop pushing him. And it even reflect in Videos Games. SVR 2011 Sheamus has an 93 Overall. WWE 12 he has an 87? There trying to make him the big guy you would to be in a match with sort of like how Bobby Lasley was or Even Ezekiel Jackson.

Randy Orton is said to have sustained injury at last night's SD! tapings. Latest news says it's an issue with his back, though there's the possibility that WWE is merely running an injury angle. Either way, it looks like Orton will be off television for a while and the latest reports show that Sheamus will be taking Orton's place in the WWE house shows this weekend.

With Orton out of the picture, quite frankly, it opens the door for Sheamus to step up to maybe begin feuding with Barrett as well. If I'm not mistaken, Barrett defeated Sheamus on SD! a little while back so there's potentially some "unfinished business" there. It's also possible that Sheamus could be moved up closer to the WHC picture. Orton's probably gonna be off tv for a while, there's talk of doing Shaq vs. Big Show for WM 28, Christian isn't scheduled to return until February if I'm not mistake and Mark Henry is on the shelf for the time being, so the WHC picture might benefit from a high profile name like Sheamus being involved.

I think Sheamus needs a high profile feud at the moment. While I am glad that he has an angle at all right now, Jinder Mahal is hardly good enough of an opponent for someone who is a candidate to become one of the show's top faces. They already did the Henry feud back in August, so perhaps a feud against Big Show after his likely heel turn. Or better yet.... Wade Barrett. Those two could put on an awesome feud together! Sheamus just needs one more win in a high profile feud before he can move into the world title scene. If the rumor about Orton's injury is true then Smackdown might need someone to fill in for a while and that would be a perfect opportunity for Sheamus to step up because he has been doing great as a face and deserves to be further up on the card. I look forward to some potential World Championship feuds in the future for him too. They are coming. The fact that he is still doing something, anything, is a good sign. Even if he is facing guys like Jinder Mahal. I say have him feud with Barrett next or Big Show and then move him up to the main event tier. He is ready.

This is WWE's problem right now and I don't care if they have a lack of faces, they turn wrestlers that are natural heels like Sheamus himself into a babyface. It doesn't make sense.

See, Mr.Kennedy...Carlito...Ezekial Jackson...Alex Riley for examples.

Why would they turn probably the second biggest face on smackdown heel? There way to many up and coming heels on both shows so i think we need to keep Sheamus face. He doesnt need a feud going into RR because there shouldn't be any grudge match type feuds at RR unless their for midcard titles. Just have him dominate against other superstars who need exposure but don't let the matches be jobber matches like Jinder.

Even though Sheamus briefly feuded with Mark Henry the feud really didn't have a final resolution so in my opinion Sheamus should feud with Henry I think that a Sheamus-Henry feud would further elevate both superstars.

Sheamus only needs a minor program right now because of the time of year wwe is in, there are usually only a handful of matches at the Royal Rumble he doesn't have to do anything but keep winning and keep going over. He gets a fantastic reaction, people are getting behind him because he is a bad ass, I must say I thought he was a brutal early on, now I think he has grown leaps and bounds over time. Sheamus and Henry already has been done. Sheamus will likely be in the rumble and elimination chamber matches his next feud will be with Big Show when he turns heel and later I am thinking maybe wrestlemania with Wade Barret these are the big heels on smackdown and will match up well with sheamus.

Well I can honestly see the Celtic warrior becoming the new face of Smackdown in 2012. As we all know Ortan is out for what seems to be 6 months. Smackdown needs a top face. Sheamus is my pick to win the rumble this year. ( ok let's just take it step by step )
1# let him have a mini feud with either Barrett or a returning Clay. Let the feud till just after royal rumble or even elimantion chamber.
2# Sheamus wins the rumble becoming no.1 contender for the Title at mania.
3# have him start his feud with whoever the champion is straight after royal rumble while he is still in a mini feud with Barrett or Clay.
4# Sheamus wins at mainia becoming the new champion.

Now within the matter of what 2 months he has won the rumble , won at mania and with no Ortan , he is put straight up there as he new face of Smackdown. 2012 is the year of Sheamus!
