What is your opinion on the future of Kane's career?

I have been a fan of Kane since I started watching wrestling when I was a little kid. But lately to me it seems Kane has been under used. I belive giving him the ECW title was okay, but I would like to see the WWE push the vet more.

What I want to know from you fans out there, is what should be next for the big red machine? Another title run? Go back to ECW? Retire?

I know the WWE has other young talent to push, but I would honestly like to see him get another title run myself.

Kane's role in WWE is simply to put new talent over. It's been that way for a long time. He understands that and I believe wants that.

No you have the wrong cycle. I have never really been a fan of Kane's but this is how I see the cycle:

- Face multiple mid card superstars in useless feuds
- Turn heel
- Useless feuds
- Start jobbing to people to get them over
- Have a useless feud with Khali or The Undertaker
- Get a small push for some special occasion
- Turn face
- Disappear

i personally would like to see him get a title shot but i don't see it happening. i've been a fan of kane since he first appeared at the badd blood ppv back on oct. of '97. i enjoyed the monster of old just coming out decimating everyone to get attention and to eventually get different title shots. i think at some point, they should turn him face again and have him feud w/ batista for the heck of it. i enjoyed their initial feud back in late '02, tho batista got the better of him. if he could beat batista, maybe then some people would consider him a credible challenger for any of the titles again. just my personal opinion tho...

Kane used to be an unstoppable, unrelenting monster who would compel you to watch. Whether it was through the mystery portrayed through the mask, unforgiving brutality or just straight out LOL moments (hooking Shane's balls up to a car battery remains one of my favourite WWE moments), you tuned in to see Kane decimate and destroy.

He still carries the charisma and it's a testament to Glenn Jacobs that he still works so hard despite the creative neglect. I recall him saying he was happy to job to younger guys and keep a light schedule while still being an active member of the roster but I'm not sure of the validity of it.

Vinnie Mac often reverts back to him though. There has never been a character as complex and complete as Kane. Even the kiddies fear the man. He's a rare combination of great concept and flawless execution and we probably won't ever see a superstar like him ever again.

I would love to see Kane another push in his career because pretty soon he'll be retiring or maybe he'll leave at the same time taker does. Anyways Kane has been bit under used I mean he's a veteran he deserves another push this late in his career how about the wwe gives him 1 more push win the title and retire on top of wwe universe. and give him a nice sendoff as well. and if he does retire let's keep our fingers crossed he doesn't go to TNA or TNA comes get him.

I don't think he really has anywhere to go. Don't expect to see him in the major title picture ever again, those days are long gone. It would be nice to see him and Mike Knox thrown into the Intercontinental title picture once the Ziggler and Morrison feud is over. That way it would be a good mix of power, speed and intensity.

I always preferred masked Kane to how he is now. That's masked Kane from when he first debuted. The badass masked Kane, not the childish 'big red ******' version that followed in subsequent years. That mask and the presence it brought with it were what got Kane over. His wrestling isn't that great (see all matches vs. Great Khali) and his character hasn't had a third dimension in quite a while, it's the same old 'I'm big and bad and violent' stuff, it just loses a lot of impact without the mask.

As Super Dragon said, expect to see Kane more or less put people over in the dying stages of his career. It would be nice to see a push to send him off because he has done a lot for WWE but it's highly unlikely. If he were put into the IC title mix and made relevant again I think that would be a step towards bigger things but there's no way they can get him over with his current character.

There's nothing for him to do. He's fine putting new talent over, he understands his role. He's 40 years old now, he can't exactly do all the old power moves the old Kane could do. He's still a good performer, I agree he's underutilized but I don't think he minds that to be honest. I wouldn't mind him in a mid-card title hunt, but I don't think he'll be holding a world title anytime soon.

Kane should probably turn face soon, because he is old, and the old timers start getting cheered out of respect anyway, its too much effort to keep him heel. I'd then feud him with CM Punk, as it is a feud that works quite well. Then, I'd have him enter the Royal Rumble, as it is a record of appearances that should be upheld, then if Taker is still champion and a Raw guy wins the Rumble, have him face Taker at No Way Out and the elimination chamber to decide the WrestleMania challenger. After that, I'd put him out to pasture as a midcard get overer, with maybe one last midcard reign at some point.

What will actually happen is he will remain heel and just have a series of matches against arbitrary midcarders for no reason.

Kane is a decent feud option when Taker is champion, even if we have seen it a million times, it can still be gripping. He hasn't got long, and I feel, much like JBL did, that he probably deserves one last title shot and one last midcard title run.

In my opinion, Kane's career has no future-he's done and he should either be let go or retire and take up a postion backstage somewhere, but he doesn't really have anything left to offer as an in-ring preformer. The role he has now-putting over younger preformers-is meaningless, His terrible physical condition along with his uesless, stale character means he has zero credibility left as a monster.

Brothers of Destruction could come back for one more run; we all can agree it would be more entertaining than this rerun of DX. Give Kane some time off to get into shape for a final run so he can grow his hair back and get another mask.

yes he is utilised, but the only way i can c his career- is this KANE VS UNDERTAKER 3 @WM. and it should b Kane ending the streak. this way we can all remember the career of Kane n this is the way both KAYFABE brothers can retire. Kane has been a working horse for wwe for 12 str8 yrs. N I truly believe he should b near to the status of hbk n taker. BUT,this will never happen. all we will c is Kane in mid-card status beating mid card wrestler but losing to Main eventers all the time.

The Kane character has certainly had its ups and downs, inside the ring he can be booked as a monster. But outside the ring he is a smart businessman and knows that with new stars emerging its important to help them establish their spot on the roster

I wish Kane had been able to be WWE champ for more than just 24 hours, but I think at this point it is too late for him to be champ again. I would like to see both Kane and Undertaker retire together after a 30 minute match at a future Wrestlemania where both men destroy each other with Taker ultimately winning but being so destroyed he has to be helped from the ring. After sending Kane to "hell", of course. Undertaker would have a lot more fanfare going into the match with everyone knowing it is to be his final battle. It would never be mentioned again that it is also Kane's retirement match, he would just never be heard or seen from again after the match. With announcers maybe mentioning that Kane has finally found peace in hell. Just an idea.

Hehe, I got a lil heat on another thread for agreeing that he should be turned into a comedy character ala Santino, but that was just my way of saying I know Kane will never be what he was or anything other than a jobber to the up and comers enhancement talent moving forward, so I think he should just retire, at this point I do not find him interesting anymore in the slightest.

What would I like to see though?, him get the mask back go on a Goldbergesqe winning streak and finally get another title run, but thats just a dream.

I think he is useless now. Let him feud with somebody for the IC title for cryin out loud. Hes fighting ziggler lately and losing. Back then that is a three second match. Give him more oppurtunity.

Kane was basically set up to fail. They ONLY brought the Kane character in to give the Undertaker a great feud. Kane destroyed everyone in his path for months..until meeting Taker at Mania 14, which was a match he obviously had to lose. What do you do with someone like Kane after he loses to the man he came there to beat? He was brought in to eventually be the Undertakers greatest victory...and that was over 12 years ago. I am SHOCKED he has been able to keep the Kane gimmick going this long, and I applaud him for that (because it isn't his fault he was never repackaged). Another title reign? They would have to do something HUGE to make that happen, like have the Undertaker kill him and then be out for like a year. He would have to make a comeback, a big comeback, probably with paul bearer announcing his comeback months before, kind of like the original storyline (and he would HAVE to wear the original outfit, mask aand all). If something like that doesn't happen, a title shot is not even an option.

That's not necessarily true. I heard that Kane was originally supposed to win that match but he said he did not want to end Taker's streak. So, he was set up to succeed. He obviously did succeed to an extent because he still has so many fans despite the lack of world titles other than that 1 day one.

As for the questions the original poster asked.... I'd like to see Kane win one more world title and hold onto it for a decent amount of time, like his ECW title reign. WWE had the perfect opportunity for that during summer of 2007 when he injured Edge during their feud.... but I heard he didn't want the title then, and that's why we got stuck with Khali's reign.... Kane deserves a real title run with a world title. Just one, since he apparently doesn't want to be champion. I have a lot of respect for the guy though for preferring to put over future champions rather than be one himself.

I don't think his future will change compared to how his career has been though. He will probably just keep putting people over through random filler feuds and get the occasional title shot that he'll probably lose. I'm still entertained by most of his matches, so it doesn't matter to me much.... however I'd like to see him get one legit world title reign, just one, before he retires. I wouldn't count on it, but it might happen. I bet he'll just stick around on Smackdown a few more years doing random feuds and then retire though.

Still till this day it astonishes me that kane and hbk both have been in the most amount of royal rumbles (11 if I'm not mistaken), hbk has already won two and yet kane has never won one. It's a darn shame that kane has been probably the most underused wrestler ever to work for vince in terms of title reigns. But because glen is all about pushing the new talent and thinks less of himself as a title holder, kane will never again get the major title push that he deserves.

I hate what their doing to Kane.i will even go as far to say he's as good as or better than half the smackdown roster.The only way i see kane doing anything important is for him to put his mask back on and become the monster.Have either ziggler or Punk come out and claim to have something kane needs to be whole.after a few weeks they convince Kane to work for them if they give it to him.they will then give kane the mask turning him into the monster.He could even help his master win the IC title but he turns on them and steal the masters world title shoot
