What if...

What if Vince fired HHH after the Curtin Call?

If this has been done you know what you have to do. If its in the wrong place, move it.

I was just wondering what you all thought. Would HHH be back in the WWE?
Would he still be married to Stephine?
Would he be a 13 time world champ?

P.S> This is my first thread so if i f****d up im SOO sorry

I don't think it would have happened. Hunter had potential and was being booked to win the King of the Ring before that happened.

Also, Hall, Nash, and Kid would all be gone and HHH would have been the only ally Shawn had at that time. Nash was like his real-life bodyguard in the back because he looked out and protected him when Shawn wise-assed someone or spoke his mind against someone. With Shawn being the top guy and THE main event, he needed someone to pal around with and someone to be there for him. If Hunter was gone, Shawn would have had no one.

The whole locker room either disliked Shawn or didn't trust him. He was the champ so he was gonna be on top for basically the rest of his tenure because once you become the heavyweight champ and the main event, you don't go back. When your in a position like that you need to feel comfort and closure. Hunter provided that to Shawn.

If I had to guess, if Triple H was fired during the MSG Incident, he MIGHT have gone to WCW with Hall and Nash, possibly in the X – Pac role. Remember, at the time, he was at the bottom of the Clique totem pole. Even Pac got more TV time than Hunter.

As for your questions:

He MAY have gone back to the WWE, but I would think it would have been during or after the Invasion angle.

He would not have married Stephanie.

He would not be a 13 time World Champion.

Also, what would have happened with DX?? I have to believe DX would not have even existed had HHH been well wished on his future endeavors.

Yeah i agree with ya 100%
Theres no chance Steph would have went with a WWF reject
so the rest wouldn't fall into place.
:)

Triple H being fired would have literally changed the landscape of this business. In no way would wrestling be where it is today if that happened. As much I am sick and tired of Triple H, he helped changed the face of wrestling. Triple H going to WCW would have been a massive loss to the WWE. There would have been no DX, no Evolution, which would of cascaded into a massive snowball effect, it gets bigger and bigger. Orton would have never of likely been given the main event role he has now. Batista probably would have already been gone, Flair gone sooner, Michaels would have gone down a completely different path. It's really not even fathomable what the WWE would be like today without Triple H. A lot of stuff that has happened in the last decade would never be, feuds, champions, everything would be drastically changed.

As for WCW... sadly not much would have changed. Triple H probably would have gone onto some fame with the nWo and WCW, but ultimately he would be nowhere the talent he is/was now. WCW might have held on longer with the aquisition of Triple H, but their fate would have still be the same. Likely Triple H would have gone back to WWE, but he would not reach the greatness he has, it's be to little, to late for him. It's safe to say and nobody can really disagree I think, that the WWE would not be the same period without Triple H.

If Vince had fired him after the Curtain Call, Triple H's career probably would only be an overall fraction of what it is now. As has been mentioned, Triple H was near the bottom of the Kliq totem pole back in those days, he wasn't really a superly established star as Hall, Nash and HBK were. If he'd have gone to WCW, he would've ultimately been second banana to Hall, Nash and Hogan.

I think he may have come back to the WWE as part of the whole Invasion thing. The potential Vince had seen in him years earlier would still be there, but Triple H's backstage power and world title wins wouldn't be close to what they are now.

I think the only reason Triple H wasn't let go was because of Shawn Michaels. Vince couldn't do anything to Nash or Hall since they were going to WCW. He couldn't do anything to Shawn since he was champ, so he just made Triple H a jobber. I think if Triple H was fired then he would probably end up jobbing in WCW or maybe be a member of the NWO. I don't think WWE would of been as successful without DX, even though I'm sure they would of went with it anyways. Minus HHH. Maybe HHH could of been a huge star in WCW since he's friends with Nash and Hall. I'm guessing Triple and Nash would of had a finger poke of doom match and he would job to Nash in the end if he were champ. Triple H definitely wouldn't of had such an impact on the wrestling world if he were let go from WWE back in 96.

Yeah iv got to agree with the previous poster. Without HBK around this time Hunter was nothing. I think HBK used alot of his influince in the ninties to get what he wanted and may have kept Hunter his job.

Thanks for the posts guys.

It would have changed everything I think if he was fired he would have showed up with Hall and Nash and there would have been three outsiders. They would have talked for months about how they were sent by their boss which everyone would think they were talking about Vince.

At Bash at the Beach there would be a three on three match The Outsiders vs Luger, Sting, Savage. After the match Shawn Michaels would come out and superkick Sting. Hogan would come out and chase off the Kliq staying face. The NWO would have formed but as the Kliq eventually bringing in Shawn Waltman.

With all HBK's friends gone i think they could have convinced him to go with them when his contract expired.

HHH would not have married Steph, He would be given the Booker T treatment ( a couple reigns late in his WCW career but back to upper midcard once he was back in WWE)

Now onto my own question if HBK left too what would have happened to the WWF?

Would Austin still have became a star without their Wrestlemania match?

Would we be watching WCW right now?

and if WCW lost would the Kliq have all came back together for a WWF takeover during the invasion?

Wow, I didn’t think that far, but WOW!!

Okay, so you’re saying if HHH left with Diesel and Razor, the Bash 96’s Main Event would have been Paul, Kevin, and Scott vs. Macho Man, Lex, and Sting. Then HBK and Hogan would come out and back up their respective teams. Imagine what the War Games that year would have looked like. I like this idea!!

I think Austin would have still been a Star, regardless of HBK and DX. We would have seen Bret the Hitman Hart vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin at WrestleMania XIV. I think Bret might have stayed in the WWE if HBK left for WCW.

As far as what we would be watching right now. I have to believe the WWE was, is and always will be the best and they were going to win anyway. All those names and crazy @$$ contracts and contract stipulations is what killed WCW. The inmates were running the asylum. Vince never gave up control over his product, whereas Ted Turner just wanted to spend money to watch his own show. Think about it.

Man, we could do this forever. What other ideas do you WZers have??
