This whole "christian" thing was just an Attack by TNA. they know, as soon as they say Christian is not hired by the WWE that all the fans would think "Oh my fucking god he is returning to the WWE" So they start tuning in PPV after PPV for a few months then grow tired, give up on the Idea of that ever happening and then bring him back as TNA World Champion, to get all Christian fans watching TNA, as they just lost all respect for the WWE. Would this be a good Move? what would it do to TNA?

DIscuss.

Personally if this was what was happening I would legitley piss myself. Everybody thinking he is returning to the WWE only to show up on TNA ?? it would be the Biggest of big pranks, and Ignite a fire up under the Arse of WWE. All of those dissapointed WWE fans who got their hopes up over nothing.

I think that most of the Christian fans that came out of the woodworks ( wich is alot seeing there wasnt that many when he was in TNA) would have to give in and watch TNA to get their Christian Fix. wich would equal Epic ratings for TNA. and Launch them Higher up towards becoming the new WCW. Maybe end up running against Smackdown or something. This would be the best thing ever if it was true, for everyone except the WWE.

If this happens, I want everybody to know that I fucking called it. In at least two threads, I've said that TNA could pull a swerve and have him make a surprise return. Christian's one who keeps his cards close to his chest, so you never know. I thought it was slightly odd that TNA were openly advertising the fact that Christian was leaving; and to the WWE no less.

However, I don't think it would have the impact you say. Sure, it could have some impact. People would get a little excited and there'd maybe be a few bumps in the ratings and merchandise sales. But this is TNA; home of small scale wrestling. They simply cannot pull off things on a big scale, they don't have the resources.

That means, if Christian does return, it'll probably be an underwhelming run-in on 'iMPACT!'. No, TNA doesn't have more sense than that. I'd receive his return well though, as would a lot of TNA fans. Christian has been notable by his absence in TNA.

They'd definitely want to incorporate him into the MEM/Frontline feud upon his return. But that'd mean he'd have to wear one of those silly shirts.

If T.N.A. and Christian Cage are in contact and this is all one big work, only for him to return to T.N.A. than it's the single dumbest angle in the history of Professional Wrestling.

Why? Because it would ultimately be T.N.A. giving W.W.E. fan support and sending viewers away, to the rival company, in hope of catching one of their favorite Superstars that they believe is headed back to the company he first got a name in.

If Christian returns to T.N.A., I wouldn't see anyone being upset at the W.W.E. because the W.W.E. never reported Christian being resigned with them to begin with, it was all the wrestling rumor sites that reported that.

Furthermore, I think it'd be a big boost to T.N.A. to have him return, but the bigger question would beg to be asked.. why hasn't he already? This is the W.W.E.'s most important time of the year. From the Royal Rumble through to WrestleMania.

I'd think T.N.A. would want Christian being a headliner on their shows, rather than sitting at home making fans tune into W.W.E. programming to boost their ratings, in hopes that the rumors are true of his W.W.E. return.

I myself am a big doubter of Christians return after last night. I do hope he returns to the WWE, because I like the WWE more. But I do not think it is going to happen. He should have returned at the Royal Rumble. But maybe, the WWE being that company that likes to pretend to be ahead of the customer that it is... knew the fans were going to think Christian was going to be at the Royal Rumble, so they changed or had it booked to be at Raw. Their thoughts would be that fans would keep watching and waiting. If anything, I almost feel a backlash to it. Some fans may be pissed off that the rumour may be fake, and quit watching.

Now for the question at hand, well it is an interesting one. There could be a possibility that TNA did do this, I'm not sure why they took this road but they did. When those people who were excited for Christian instead find out he did a big run in on TNA, then they may tune over to watch the number two enterprise. I just think it is risky, and question whether TNA can pull it off.

Sure it could be a TNA work but that really wouldn't mean anything. It wouldn't bring in new viewers and I doubt there are that many "Christian only" fans who would watch or not watch an entire 2 hour show based on whether he's there or not, he's just not that level.

TNA can talk about WWE because they are not competing with them on the same night, so no one is switching over. I'm sure 100% of TNA fans know when and where to watch WWE. I also doubt that people would be buying WWE PPVs month after month on the off chance that Christian returns.

In conclusion, it'd be a nice little story but not really serve a purpose or have an impact.

I am also a huge doubter over whats happening with Cristian now. A fully expected him to return at the rumble and screw Jeff out the title , it was one of the reasons i watched. Now the fact he hasnt appeared ... well whats there for him ?

Raw - there wrestlemania card seems to have Lecgacy Vs Mcmahon and/or Orton vs Cena , JBL Vs HBK and Jericho vs Rourke
Smackdown - Edge Vs HHH , Matt vs Jeff also involve Taker with someone.
Ecw - Swagger vs Dreamer
MITB - Punk , Kingston , Miz , Morrison , Kane and Shelton.

Thats what i think the WM25 card will be , possibly and a huge possibly , have Austin in there to. So where does this leave Cristian ? NOHWERE !!

I apologize for not reading what everyone else said, so if I repeat what you said, just consider yourself a very intelligent person.

Any company that releases information to help their competitor financially is plain idiotic. You literally are suggesting that TNA put speculation of Christian to the WWE in order for people to buy more WWE PPV's. Not happening.

Now, will Christian ever show up in WWE? I don't know. Will he come back to TNA? I don't know. But to insinuate that TNA wants people to buy WWE PPVs is ridiculous.

maybe christian will have a bigger impact then the jeff hardy angle, theres still alot to be done, maybe he will even be a suprise wrestler for the mitb at mania. and speaking of mania am i the only one who is pissed not to see taker vs hbk... seeing how its in texas and all.

That would be a great move, if very unlikely. Of course WWE is so big that TNA stands no chance if they really got into a war. So I doubt TNA has the guts to do it, but it would be fun. I hope it's not true, because I never watch TNA and I kinda want to see Christian back. It will be interesting to see how this whole Christian thing pans out because WWE seems to have wasted their chance to bring him back. I don't know if he will even be at Wrestlemania if they keep stalling.

...that all the fans would think "Oh my fucking god he is returning to the WWE" So they start tuning in PPV after PPV for a few months then grow tired, give up on the Idea of that ever happening and then bring him back as TNA World Champion, to get all Christian fans watching TNA, as they just lost all respect for the WWE.

All Christian fans, all five of them?

As much as I genuinely like the Instant Classic, he is in no way a legitimate main eventer and does not generate enough of a fan base for TNA to waste their effort, time and money on.
