What If: Kane never took off his mask?

What if Kane NEVER took off his mask on this horrible day in WWE History?

Would Kane of had the same career in the 2000's that alot of us feel destroyed his legacy?

Did his mask REALLY make the difference?

Nothing would have changed. Kane's problem had nothing to do with a mask. His problem is that he never offered anything original and always rode the coat tails of others.

When he started as "Unibomb" he was a Sid Vicious impersonator and used the powerbomb etc. He looked a lot like him, but clearly he was just a wannabe.

When he came to the WWF as "Dr. Issac Yankem" (a dentist - oh brother) he spent all of his time following Jerry "The King" Lawler and fighting all of Lawler's feuds.

Then he became the new Diesel and spent his time impersonating Kevin Nash.

Then he became the Undertaker's "lost brother" (one of the dumbest angles to this day) and has spent the rest of his career impersonating and riding the coat tails of the Undertaker.

That fact that ANYONE can cheer Kane or consider him great is laughable.

Then we would either complain that he should take it off or just go meh. Nothing would have changed. He actually hated the mask (hard to breath in, that is why they kept changing it). The mask had no super powers or anything like that. Guys like mysterio need to keep their mask, guys like Kane not so much. Kane actually vetoed a lot of title wins because he always like putting people over more (kind of like Owen Hart). He was actually supposed to beat Taker at Mania (1st time, Taker wanted him to win), but even then he said no.
