What if Daniel Bryan never got injured?

How different would the last month of been?

Would Barrett still have won King Of The Ring?

I feel that the main reason he won it was cause he never had Daniel Bryan around who he was meant to be feuding with at the time.

What would Neville be doing?

It has been obvious that he is filling the void in the Sheamus, Ziggler and Barrett feud that has been going on since Bryan hasnt been around.

What are your thoughts?

Had he never got injured he would have lost his title to Brock at SummerSlam and would have been the one feuding with him. Cena would have stayed in the mid-card and it would have been Team Bryan vs Team Authority instead with Cena on his team. Bryan would have faced Orton at HIAC and had the friendly rivalry to get to Rollins with Ambrose.

Also, Roman wouldn't have got as much backlash because Bryan would have had a full run and it would have been Bryan vs Rollins vs Lesnar at Royal Rumble for the WHC. Bryan would have moved on to feud with maybe either a heel Ziggler or heel Sheamus at WrestleMania.

Rollins wouldn't have cashed in MITB at WrestleMania as well, because it wouldn't be needed. Reigns would be champion, and he wouldn't have been IC champ...that would be Dolph Ziggler. At Payback, it would have been Bryan vs Reigns vs Rollins vs Ambrose. Orton would be taking a break or feuding with Rusev.

So I guess his injury drastically changed everything in the WWE.

I think Bryan's injury was inevitable, and I'm still puzzled as to why they put the title on him at Wrestlemania. He was coming back from a lengthy injury, he needed to be eased back into in ring action, yet he was thrown back in at the deep end and now he's suffered for it.

I wouldn't put the title on Neville just yet, we don't want him to peak too early, I think WWE will have him keep impressing until fans are demanding he be given a title shot.
Bryan V Sheamus would have been a good feud, as would Bryan V Barrett, but obviously that's not a possibility now.

I'm just interested to see what they'll do with Ziggler now.

My thought is that this was always leading to a unification match between Cena and Bryan. As you can imagine, that heavily influences my answers.

Had he not been injured, he'd have defended the belt a few times, and defeated Barrett.

Not only would Barrett not have won King of the Ring, I don't think the event would have happened. Like you suggested, it seemed they needed someone to take the spotlight in his absence.

Neville would be on the same course he is now. Tearing it up, turning heads, and building himself as a legitimate contender to the eventually unified secondary title.

Like I said, all roads lead to unification.

I think he'd face Ziggler, Sheamus and Barrett in a Fatal Four Way for the title at ER where he retained the title.

I think he would have lost the title to Sheamus at Payback.

I think Sheamus would have won KOTR while Neville feuds with a frustrated BNB who BNB took his frustration out on for failing to win the IC title back from Bryan.

Answering that question in a meaningful way would require knowing how long ago his physical condition was troubling him. It seemed to me his momentum was slowing.......the fan's chant wasn't, but Daniel wasn't being boosted to the moon as he had been earlier.....but in retrospect, it could be his neck was bothering him long before we were made aware of it, which might explain why he seemed to be getting de-pushed.

As for Bad News Barrett and Neville, I would think their paths would be about the same regardless of what was going on with Daniel Bryan. One would think Barrett was working on a long-range plan set up for him by management, consisting of his exchanging an image-damning IC title reign for a King of the Ring victory. It's nice to see King Barrett winning matches again, but even if he starts losing, he can't drop his KOTR crown, so it's all good.

Lastly, I suppose if Daniel had been healthy, he might have faced Brock Lesnar for the world title at WM31 instead of Roman Reigns, but I still think their size difference....and Daniel's unimpressive physique.....would have made for a visually unattractive match-up, given that we're talking about the world championship being contested at the biggest PPV of the year.

Maybe the Bella's wouldn't have turned face and this storyline that's leading to Nikki's dethronement would actually make sense and not be a huge piece of shit. Seriously, why is Stephanie stacking up the odds against the champion SHE HELPED MAKE IN THE FIRST PLACE!!!! AAAAARGH!
