What exactly does being "green" mean?

Okay, simple enough. A lot of people have said Wade Barrett for being "too green" for his spot in the main event. But, they never really go into detail about why he is "too green". No, this isn't meant to be another topic devoted to the like awesome at everything Wade Barrett.

But I am just really wondering why can't a new guy be just that damn good. So, does being "green" means inexperienced, not fully developed in one area, not known enough or something completely different?

Being green simply means lack of experience on the big stage. Wade has tons of talent and charisma, but he lacks experience on the main roster. FCW is a lot different from Raw and Smackdown in a lot of ways. Knowing how to do things for TV from a production standpoint takes time, from timing the match for commercial breaks, to camera angles.

NXT has been able to make it a smoother transition I think for when the FCW guys are called up. He will get the world title eventually, but I hope they give it some considerable time first. Look at what happened to Swagger. They hotshotted the world title onto him, and now he is floundering after a lackluster reign.

I think that Wade Barrett has done a great job. I do agree that experience is an important factor in wrestling, as really it is in any field of employment for that matter. However, if the person has the talent, charisma and believability to fill the role that they've been put in, then I don't necessarily see a problem. Barrett has been wrestling since 2004, he's paid his dues and as long as he doesn't develop some sort of entitlement mentallity, then I've got no problem whatsoever with him having the spot that he's got.

When people say Barrett is too "green", they mean too in-experienced and still a main-roster rookie. Without proving himself a credible talent, they believe he does not deserve the spot he has given and does not deserve to be wrestling for the belt.

In my opinion, I would wait a couple more months before putting the belt on Wade. He has impressed me in everything he has done so far, but I like the idea of giving him more in-ring WWE experience before he wins the title. The man definately has "IT", but give him a couple of strong PPV wins to build his aura (preferably over Cena and another star), then let him go over for the belt as a credible, proven main-eventer.

Not really "there" yet or hasnt really proved himself yet even though he is the leader of Nexus he hasnt had a memorable feud yet on his own but he has just reached the ME im waiting to see what happens at NOC and see how he progresses from NOC
