There are a alot of good ones,One of my faves is the first War Games back in 86,now that was bad ass.Flair versus Dusty in Bash 86.The Road Warriors vs. Arn and Tully,The Andersons vs. The Rock N Roll Express in a steel cage in Starcade 86,Steamboat vs. Savage,Rock vs. Hogan,any Angle vs. Benoit match,RVD vs. Jerry Lynn,Tajiri vs. Super Crazy,all The TLC matches,HHH vs. Austin {3 stages Of Death Match},HBK vs. Angle,and HBK vs. Hitman,these are just some of the ones I hold in high regards........

In terms of pure wrestling, Ric Flair vs. Ricky Steamboat from Clash of the Champions VI in 1989 was probably the greatest NWA World Title match I’ve ever seen. Even though their Wrestle War encounter from the same year was widely regarded as the greatest match of all-time, their COC match in my opinion was far more superior in many ways. Not only was it longer and just as action-packed, the 2-out-of-3 falls format gave it an old-school championship match feel (in the early days the World Title were contested under that format). Flair has had many legendary matches with legendary opponents, but Steamboat was probably his greatest opponent in terms of match quality. They have had many classic matches with one another throughout their careers, and 1989 represented the apex of their feud.

oh yeah....austin vs hhh (no way out 2001) 1st fall normal, 2nd fall street fight, 3rd fall cage. someone mentioned it. It was an awesome match and was voted the match of the year....even with matches like [undertaker vs hhh, rock vs stone cold and tlc 2 (all at wm17 (awesome ppv))] and benoit vs jericho in ladder at the rumble and survivor series wwe vs wcw/ecw match. 2001 was an amazing year ruined by the alliance angle, it could have been awesome!

I don't think spotfests can be considered to be the greatest wrestling matches of all time, although they are entertaining to watch. The very best matches are the ones that tell the best stories, they have much more meaning and purpose to them. (Look at my previous post to see some of the matches that best fit this criteria).

My favourite match will forever be The Rock vs Austin at WM 17, so many twists and turns, I've never cared more about the outcome of a match and what an ending! In terms of risk-taking I've got to say that I love TLC II at 'Mania 17, that was when the tag titles meant something! In technical terms, I think both HBK vs Bret "Hitman" Hart at 'Mania 12 and Michaels vs Angle at 'Mania 21 were breathtaking. I'm also a big fan of Benoit, HBK and HHH at WrestleMania 20, such a great match and the ending is much more meaningful that the Rey-Rey Replay they tried to do at 22. And, before you point it out, I know it's not only WrestleMania matches that qualify.

lesnar vs angle at WM 19, that match was so incredible, angle lost 7lbs training for the match, and lesnar even attepmted a shooting star press, even though it didnt connect it was still unbelievable to see a 300 lb man soaring through the air.
