What do you think of Rybacks push?

Ryback's recent push started out as just a basic re-hashing of his initial babyface push as the Ryback character. Which wasn't all that amazing or anything but it was a step in the right direction at least, regaining a little bit of his original momentum.

Then the other night he turned heel.. almost? If WWE was going to do something random like turn Ryback heel & have him attack Cena just after reappearing on the scene, then they should have stuck with it. Now I think a lot of people are confused & just assume he'll end up with one of the teams eventually.

I have a weird feeling that if Orton doesn't make his return at Survivor Series in his hometown of St. Louis for some reason (which he obviously should if WWE intends on him being a face going forward), then I could see WWE doing something else random & have Ryback join Team Cena last minute but then turn on Cena again in the actual match & cost them the match. & then he would be revealed as a double agent or whatever all along.

Either way I really question if they have any idea what their doing with him right now. WWE is being sort of careless & sloppy with Ryback if they do intend on turning him back into a main event player.

Are they planning on having him face Triple H at Survivor Series? It seemed to me they were setting that up at the end of Smackdown tonight. I'd normally say no way would Triple H would wrestle anytime other than Mania, but this card is seriously lacking with all of their major names being tied into the same match, and then of course Wyatt vs Ambrose. Plus it makes sense that they would go on early in the show and that they have the stipulation that if Ryback loses he must join Team Authority.

To the first part of your statement, 100% agree almost. It's being left vague for Randy Orton or Roman Reigns, I think at least. I wouldn't be too shocked to see Ziggler taken out by Luke early on in the broadcast, then Ryback announces he won't help team Cena(mindset being, I look after myself) and then Orton/Reigns comes out for the save.

I don't dislike the booking so far. I think, and this is just crazy me booking right here..but he might be Reign's Wreslemania replacement. At first it was Reigns, then Daniel Bryan(who's supposed to be out for longer), then Dean was getting the push and now it seems like Ryback might be. And it would work I think. Right now he's a tweener, but come Royal Rumble he gets screwed by the Authority and goes to town winning the Rumble. Remember, Lesnar is still team Authority. So anyone who opposes him, opposes the Authority

I agree with the booking. This is the first time that I don't feel like everyone was thrown together just to face each other at the PPV. They attempted to make sense why the team comes together. Rusev gets the US title, and he now owes one to the Authority. Ziggler was a target for them and Cena was too. Kane works for the Authority. Mark Henry was brought on for muscle, and Big Show wanted to get a piece of him. So the booking so far has been pretty good if you ask me.

I like Ryback's recent push. It isn't as forced as last time, it feels more deserved. And he's actually over. Last time he got hotshotted into the main event before he was ready because Cena got hurt. Now, yea he has his spot because Orton, Bryan and Reigns aren't there.. but it feels a little more natural. I like it. Would love to see Ryback be the first guy to defeat Rusev.

I'm fine with this push. Even though I'm not a huge Ryback fan.... this is much better than the Rybaxel team was. Ryback should be getting pushed as a monster like he was in 2012. They rushed him WAY too quickly into the WWE Championship scene and then he kept losing big matches to CM Punk and John Cena. That idiotic match with Mark Henry at Wrestlemania 29 did him no favors either. If they re-establish him with this push and take their time before throwing him into World Heavyweight Championship matches he's not ready for, then I have no problem with this push. Please don't rush him into the world title scene again, WWE.

I like Ryback and it was total bs the way they misused him over the previous year. Now it seems like they have hit the reset button on him. The way they've been booking him has been perfect. He's been treated as a lone wolf and will equally go after faces and heels if they screw with him. Hopefully they don't mess this up. The WWE needs top stars badly.

I like Ryback, more than I liked Punk when he was wrestling. Ryback is big, intense, and good in the ring for being The Big Guy he is. I hope he stays face to eventually be the one to destroy Rusev and win the US Title. He's over and can always be over and could well in doubt be the next big thing for the E. Keep his push going the way it is and I hope the E doesn't mess it up again.

Right out of the gate he was built up like an unbeatable wrecking ball, and was immediately turned into a jobber-to-the stars. He had nowhere to go but down from there.

Ryback actually benefited from the step-down to being in a mid-card tag team. A lot of people thought this meant that Ryback was "finished", but he actually developed more of a real character during that time, and he slowly started to get people to drop the "Goldberg" stuff....to a degree. Even though he took a lot of losses I think people got a kick out of him.

Enough so, that Creative was confident that they could re-boot him into a feud against the Authority, and the fans would buy into it.

His "demotion" to Rybaxel was a blessing in disguise, fans have more of a connection to him now because of it.

He should be made to look strong for a decent amount of time beyond SS.

I am also a fan of Ryback as you can probably tell from my screen name and I do agree he was misused before and wwe need to not mess up this time. he is great as a face and the heel run as Rybaxel was terrible. He should be in the mainevent status he is talented.

Ryback doesn't belong anywhere NEAR the main event scene. He's one of the worst wrestlers on the roster and has the charisma of roadkill. He has nothing going on for him besides size and a catchphrase. The crowd has already started to turn on him, Monday's RAW audience was overwhelmingly in favor of Antonio Cesaro.

Ryback is a much better than cesaro he is not the worst wrestler on the roster he is much better than anyone on team authority (including Rusev) he deserves another push he was screwed over before. I'm not sure if you watched smackdown this week but Ryback got feed me more chants before he even got out there and on Monday the crowd chanted for him, he gets over easily.

He is a great Babyface obviously a few others don't think he is and that's your opinion but in my opinion he has always been a mainevent star. FEED ME MORE, obviously wwe see something in him that you don't see and they would know.

Actually he isn't better than Cesaro. Ryback is very sloppy in the ring, and I like the guy. I like Cesaro too by the way. He was screwed over as you say because of reports that his attitude wasn't fan friendly, and was quite honestly the shits.

Chants really mean nothing these days, for Christ's sake they still chant for CM Punk and he's been gone for almost 10 months. Or JBL just cause their bored. The fans always have to have something to do or say, and loudly as well.

I will hold judgement on a main event status until Reigns and Bryan return. There is only so much room at the top and let's see who gets pushed off first.

My guess is they are using him like they did with Cesaro at one point and building them up to fit into a main event for a PPV then soon enough they will knock him back down. 6 months ago people were sure Cesaro was the next solid main eventer, now he is jobbing to Erick Rowan and Dolph Jobbler himself.

So yeah, he has a rocket up his ass now, check back in 3 months to see if this is a push or just traditional yo-yo booking

Agree to disagree but I don't believe that wwe Waipouli be going for a Ryback push if they didn't think he was good enough, obviously they see improvements all round. Maybe Ryback had a bad attitude because of what they were doing to him and I don't blame him that's why punk walked out.
The chants Ryback Gets are sincere and people like chanting it becasue they mean it. They like to have a bit of fun that's why they chant Punk and JBL and whoever else.

Ryback belongs at the top of the card, so do Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan but not Cesaro.
