What do they mean by "entertainment"

The A

Pre-Show Stalwart
So its common knowledge that they don't want to refer to it as " wrestling" But I feel like ever since the attitude era ended, storylines and gimmicks are much more realistic than the kayfabe past. So what do you think the wwe will or should do to emphasize on the entertainment factor? For example will they bring back kayfabe gimmicks and ridiculous but entertaining fueds like kanes debut fued with taker? Sound off.... my first thread btw:nugget:

after watching The True Story of WrestleMania, I would like 2 know how can they not want 2 be affiliated with "wrestling" with the word in the title of it's biggest event? I miss the days of kayfabe myself, but they've exposed the secrets & mystique of wrestling 2 the point that it's more entertainment than what it's supposed 2 be, wrestling.

Kayfabe is so shattered by the internet that there's no real reason to blur the lines between kayfabe and realism anymore. The WWE is nothing more than a television show that's shot in front of a live audience, and it's certainly not wrestling. When they blurred the lines between kayfabe and reality, it actually was supposed to be wrestling. Like, legit... holds and pins and stuff.

But it's not. It's stage fighting with creative, soap opera-esque storylines. While it'll always be called "professional wrestling," I can see why they would want to drop the word "wrestling" out of the title.

Definition of ENTERTAINMENT:

-the act of entertaining

-or-

-amusement or diversion provided especially by performers, something diverting or engaging.

Entertainment is anything that entertains you. They could bring out juggling clowns for two hours and, technically, that would be entertainment. This doesn't mean anything is going to change.

I'm confused where this idea that WWE doesn't want to use the word wrestling. Watch Kharma's promo from Monday. I've noticed that Cole says it frequently. And a host of other people have used when it's supposedly "banned".

As if it didn't look ridiculous enough when it was wrestling, now it's just something that closely resembles it. But clearly not wrestling.
