So I think i'm going to start a series of What Could have been in different moments of wrestling.
In this edition we talk about the "acquisition" of Kurt Angle's talents by Paul Heyman and the WWECW brand and what would happen to TNA if they never gained his talents.
First we will talk about the ECW part. Angle called out an open challenge at One Night Stand to Randy Orton. This was the only big match that he took part in as a member of ECW. After this he wrestled a few matches on the brand before his request to be released from the company and they accepted. So if Angle stayed around would have he captured the ECW belt instead of the Big Show?
Part two is what kind of shape would TNA be in to this day if they never got Angle? Would they have the momentum to ever even get to where they stepped up to the Monday Night Wars with RAW and got Hogan and Bischoff?
Thoughts and opinions on this idea of series to post in the forums would be greatly appreciated.
