What Band/Artist Should Be Better Than They Are?

Life's A Bitch, And Then You Mosh
This idea came to me through a conversation with NorCal about the band Five Finger Death Punch. They have a song called The Bleeding, where they show a tremendous amount of talent and range, but their CD is based primarily on speed metal, with melody as an afterthought.

The band I'd list here is System Of A Down. I will never deny that they are a good band. However, they could be one of the greatest of all time. They have a good set of singles, and a handful of other songs that weren't widely released that are absolutely amazing. The rest, can be easily forgotten. Toxicity is the only album I can put on, and listen to straight through. Another problem I have with them, is their lack of stage presence. Chop Suey! is a high energy song, and to see them on stage, you'd think they're playing Rock Band. They also showed the same lack of energy during songs like B.Y.O.B., Aerials, and Shimmy. The bands that are my favorites aren't necessarily the most talented bands, but the bands that can have a fully listenable CD, and a great live show. SOAD fails...

Im going to have to say Trivium they could be so much better, I can see that they have improved immensely since "The Crusade" with "Shogun" and granted I haven't sat down and listened to that right the way through yet, I still feel that they are only just at where they should have been for the third album and they should be the big act that people think that they should be. I mean Kerry "Fucking" King sees the potential in them, but then he says what I think is what will be what haunts them, Matt sounds like James Hetfield, while he did say that it was when James Hetfield was in his prime for the vocals, there will still be the comparisons to Metallica, which will always count against them. They do have potential to be a great band and they are relatively young so this is just a bit of a only one I can think of right now.
