What Are Title Belts Made Off?

the plate is never even that thick. somone from the worlds strongest man competition could hit me in the head with that thing, and it would bend around my head before it would hurt.

I was at a house show when I was about 11 and I sat right behind the time keeper's table. Somehow during a match I got to talk to the Fink (shows how great the match was) and he let me hold the European title. That thing was insanely heavy. Best I could tell it was real leather, and the "gold" was at least real metal, not plastic. Granted that was about 9 years ago.

I'm sure WWE goes all out with there title belts (real leather, gold, real jewels the works), not sure about other companies. But I would be willing to bet that most title belts are made out of some kind of metal though.
Its actually a Mithril Adamantium alloy coated with gold. Believe me, I know, Im the one the hired to find the stuff, and it was hard to. I had to kill half of the Marvel Comic characters, and all the dwarves in middle Earth, but I did it. A common known fact is the European belt was actually they hardest of all the belts because of the level of adamantium in it.

I always assumed that it was real leather, but a rather cheap metallic coating. Not cheap as in the plastic belts that they sell, but cheap as in gold plating as opposed to real gold and such.
As far as the guys not getting up after being hit by it, I guess it just follows the same rule as anything else. If someone outside of the match interferes, you instantly are hurt much more than if the person in the match would've done it. You have a Last Man Standing match, where you take 100 chair shots to the head, and you still get up. But if your opponent's friend comes in and hits you once, that's the straw that broke the camel's back and you're damn near dead, lol.
