Weight of superstars and champs (Rey Mysterio)

Ok, so like my sig, Rey gets WORLD TITLE COZ EDDIE DIED. Well who does Rey think he is. HE CHEATED AT WM22, HE TAPPED TO KURT! I wish HIM AND CHAVO WOULD GO AWAY FROM WRESTLING.

I think there should be weight Restrictions for world titles. If Rey wins HEAVYWEIGHT, Let Kane win the cruiserweight(just after helms has a 2 year reign ;p).

And another thing, If you noticed, you'll know it's the TAG TITLES, not 1 on 2 or anything. If their partner isn't there, DON'T BOTHER WITH THE MATCH (e.g. Kane and Hurricane Ladder Match, Ric Flair vs Rated RKO). Ok I'll say it once and I'm not saying it again, I HATE HANDICAP MATCHES HEAPS!!!

There has never been a Minimum Weight allocated to the Heavyweight Championship. Its implied that you have to be a Heavyweight, but in any case anyone of any weight could win the Title. The CW Title is a different situation, the stipulation of the title is that you have to be under a certain weight.

And a bit of advice to the Thread starter, dont put the Caps Lock on, we get your point without all the Capital Letters.

I don't know why everyone is saying that the only reason Rey got the championship is because of Eddie's death. Before Eddie even died, it was noted that WWE was going to give Rey a significant push. He was probally gonna win it off Eddie at WM 22, that's just an opinion.

Eddie was the one in store for the rumble win if im not mistaken. Instead they put Rey for the win i think thats why so many people believe its because of Eddie dying. The "i declare this match to Eddie" thing didn't help either. Which reminds me why is it that when Kurt Angle dedicates a match to the troops he loses. Yet when Rey declares it to Eddie he gets the dramatic win.

Why do people hate on Rey? Is it because he got the title because of Eddie? If you think about, Rey was already going to get a big push. And sooner or later he would get the title with or without Eddie because he's a hard worker and a fan favorite.

I dont think size matter's at the end of the day, champion's are chosen. It's not like Boxing where you have to win a title in a legitimate fight.

I don't hate mysterio, but his reign as WHC was bit hard for me to take seriously, the way I would have done it is have him win the rumble, lose title shot to Orton, then instead of making the main event at WM a triple threat match I would have put him in the money in the bank ladder match, then for the end of the match I would have both him and RVD grab the breifcase at the same time and both of them would fall, then the contrversy would start as to who won the match, and after a few minutes you would see both GMs agueing in the ring, and then McMahon would come out and declare that since both RVD and Mysterio brought it down at the same time then both will get a MITB contract reys will be for the WHT, and RVDs will be for the WWE title

The weights on many wrestlers are very exaggerated. I don't even know what they list Shawn Michaels as, but he looks to be no more than 190. I don't think anybody has complained about his weight during his numerous title reigns. There should never be a limit for any Heavyweight title because it's not simply a "weight class" title, it's more so a "status" title. The title gives you the label of being the brand's top dog for the time that you have it.

I like your argument for the tag titles though. I think it's bogus that the Spirit Squad - consisting of 2 and a half times the members of a normal tag team - have won the tag belts.

WWE has made the cruiserweight title a joke. If they really cared about it, they'd have Rey in the cruiserweight division. But Vince cares very little for high flyers, preferring big man wrestling, so it's to be expected. And most of the guys' heights and weights are exaggerated to make them seem larger than life, once again, a result of preferring the big man wrestling.

well Vince needs to learn that it's not what he likes thats going to get people to buy into the product it's what the fans in general like, and from what i've heard , the fans are starting to get sick of big man wrestling all the time, the high flyers are what people are into more these days

A heavyweight is a wrestler who is 220+ pounds(Punk,HBK,Eddie etc),so its not a "Big Wrestler Thing".Rey was 165! the title was always called the heavyweight championship, but they dropped the heavyweight because it was apparent that he was in the right weight division(esp. seeing as how he had competed for the cruiserweight title 3years prior) It would have mad emore sense if he became WWE champ. But the truth is that the only reason he as so over, was because of the whole Eddie angle. We all wanted Orton or HHH to win the RR,but we got gulit-tripped into supporting Rey.Thats why it tooks months for people to actually start cheering his name instead of Eddie's(They might as well have put EDDIE GUERRERO on the WHC name plate)

Well I think Vince is so bad at managing this business. It'd be better if they made Benoit go better instead of Rey. Benoit was more of a friend IMO.

That is Harsh you can't actually say how good of a friend Benoit was over Rey to Eddie, or vice versa.

The deal with weightlimits are overexagerated. I think there was a gimmick done by Crash Holly and Hardcore Holly where it says repotedly over 500 pounds, so it can be used in a good way.

Thing I hated about rey being champ is his moves looked so damn awkward on anyone that wasn't his size.

I can't stand all those useless-flashy-make-yourself-dizzy-carranas that he did. It was just so annoying to see a masked little mexican man spinning around randy's head for like 10 seconds then fly off and randy THROWS HIMSELF to make it look like that move did anything to him.

Also can't stand the 6-1-9, sure alot of finishers you ask "why are they in the perfect pose?" but that just took it too far. Maybe if they had a knack for falling on that 2nd rope in matches he wasn't in, but whatever.

So those and the whole "OMG I MISS U EDDIE!!!1" gimmick were what drove me to hate rey, keep in mind I hated rey before all this. Plus his RR match sucked ass, he just sat in the corner of the ring and chavo guerrero even went and checked up on him. It was so painfully obvious that he was going to win.

What people are more likely to be sick of is big men who are lousy at wrestling and are just boring to watch because there matches are slow and they look uncomfortable in the ring. Personally I think WWE is doing better than people give them credit for, which is another topic anyway.

As for Rey, I thought it was sad that he won the title, over he may have been, World HEAVYWEIGHT champ he should not have been. Like it says on the new SD Vs Raw game "it is the world heaveweight title, not world cruiserweight title" when Rey is begging for a shot at the gold on the game

I love watching Rey wrestle and to be honest I'm peed off about Chavo winning but I would still like Rey if he wasn't doing everything about Eddie. He needs to move on like Batista, Benoit and everyone else did. Sure him and Eddie had some great times but surely he can move on. I don't really mind Rey. I was just a bit angry when I said I hated him. Really I like him 6/10

Rey should have went for the WWE title not just to make sence about his waight but if he loved eddie so much why dosen't follow like a dog and have the same belt as eddie

You're exactly right. Ok Ok he does some impressive stuff but a few flips and stuff is really gunna take out, lets say JBL? 619 is so gay its not funny. OH MY GOD a kick to the face, then a hurricanrana. One more thing, he lost so many times to mark henry in non title matches but seemed to pull thru in title ones. Mark henry is a real heavy weight champ, instead of dropping heavyweight so an acrobat can have a few months over

Bottom line is i prefered to see the title on someone with talent than someone who had had 3 months of training and been pushed to the moon... there is ways of handling having a smaller wrestler winning the heavyweight title, have him beat a medium sized wrestler and make his opponents not too huge, but rey vs kane with a rey win would be crap because it unrealistic, but Rey vs shawn michaels would be a realistic match for rey to win...i dont know... i didnt hate it and i certainly dont hate rey, i hate the way his storylines are written and i hate the WWE watering down his style and forcing him into spot fests...but...what ya gonna do ..............................................when hul..k...a..(nearly went there)

Dude thats easy to say when you're not standing right next to him, wrestlers are a lot bigger in real life than they look on TV. They may be exagerrating his weight a little bit they do exagerrate some wrestlers heights but 40 pounds man that is a bit much. And you have to remember he is billed as 6'1'' and mostly muscle/ very little fat.

That said I think it just seems ridiculous when a guy who is billed as 5'6'' and 170 lbs can (supposedly) out wrestle a man who is 6'6'' and nearly 300 lbs (JBL). If Mysterio had a couple upset victories due to outside interference or w/e it would be believable but not a legitimate victory.

is it his fault he is small and if he got the weight of a heavyweight he would be like big dick johnson so what if he won it coz of eddie dying it worked for me coz now there putting the guerrero name though the SHIT!
and y cnt they leave it out ffs!
