Watch Luke Harper

Pay Per Ghost

What they f*ck happened in the thread section here
To suspend your disbelief, to make you believe in what they are trying to tell, its not the just the look that matters. True, it is very important, but how a wrestler moves, how he transitions from one move to another , what he does in between moves is also pivotal.

While we are lapping up everything that the Wyatt Family is doing especially Bray, I want you to turn to his right and notice Luke Harper from time to time. His matches, his moveset, the way he looks at Bray.

His repertoire consists of clubbing blows and a Discus Lariat to end it all. Laud this. He comes off as a violent, dirty swamp trash and here is a gimmick done so right not only by his unmatted hair and beard; but more so with how he does the least amount of 'pro wrestling moves' and rather brawls, and brawls hard.

I agree. Everything from the thick, matted beard & greasy hair to the dirty & worn out looking wife beater & jeans just flat out fits in with everything else and suits his character perfectly. Luke Harper's in-ring psychology & move set seem to be in perfect synch. He's not flashy, he's not fancy, he doesn't pull off high spots to ooh and ah the crowd. He's an enforcer; a thug that simply flat out beats you down. Everything from his looks to his move set to his mannerisms goes along perfectly with the character he is: a big, intimidating cult member who looks like he hasn't bathed in 6 months that lives in an old farm house with no electricity smack in the middle of the Florida swamps.

I have also noticed this...He is fantastic. Eddie Kingston is another one...he does all the little things. If he is put in a headlock he's trying to get out or screaming in pain.

Bret Hart, some like him some hate him. But everything he did seemed real. You could tell he wasn't thinking about it. He is a natural.

I like him, I think he is the powerhouse of the group. All of them big guys but Luke is the most muscular of the three.

I enjoy Luke Harper. I enjoy his style and what he does for his character, however I'm not quite sure what he could do after the Wyatt Family with his current move-set. He does quite a lot with his character very well, but It'll be interesting to see what he does with career after The Family. However, doing the little things in the ring usually sets yourself up for bigger and greater things in the future so hopefully all ends well for him.

I've been a fan since the debut, and have gone back and checked out some of his other stuff, from the indy scene, where appears to have been working pretty much the same in ring character, only with a pretty decent stream of demolishing and bullying smaller opponents.

This is my favorite video that I've found thus far, and I hope they find a way to work this sort of a spot into a match somewhere down the road, even if it would turn him face in a heartbeat to a WWE crowd.

Harper I feel can do those long matches if he has the right opponent. highlights from one of my fav harper matches

That was okay but a lot of the moves he does just don't fit his character whatsoever. He's a backwoods brawler, not a "Wrestler."

If you want to look for the type of move-set this guy should use, look at Bradshaw from his Acolyte days.

I'm a fan of all three of The Wyatt Family, but with Bray being as good as he is, the other two do get a bit overlooked.

Harper is perfect for his character. His look, the long, thick hair and beard and his clothing, the worn out clothes, are all spot on. Then his facial expressions top everything off. He makes you believe that he worships Bray. For me Harper is on par with Ambrose with his facial expressions.

I'm sure Harper can adapt to any character WWE give him, so I think whatever he does after the group splits (which shouldn't be for a long time) he'll make it work. I think one option is keeping Harper and Rowan as a tag team, this would also mean that they wouldn't need much of a character change.

I agree with everyone else on this, Harper is fantastic in his role as the big, tough enforcer who is completely under the spell of his "leader". His facial expressions are excellent and the ring attire he has just fits the character perfectly.

I have been very impressed with the Wyatt family since their debut, Bray especially. His mic work is phenomenal and it's a gimmick I had been looking forward to seeing on Raw for a long time. Hopefully WWE doesn't screw this up, turn them face or split them up in the near future. I feel this gimmick could have a good lifespan if done correctly.

Funny I've been saying this same thing to my wife every week during RAW and I've never seen a Luke Harper match before this. But the second he debuted I knew this guy had something special. My wife likes to point out just how Harper really looks genuinely dirty... and that's not an insult! She says, in a complimentary way, that he doesn't look like he's "playing a role." That he genuinely looks like a greasy, nasty, dirt bag who hasn't showered in forever!

This guy along with the other two seem legit bad ass' and with how the Wyatt family are being pushed its gonna be an interesting few months. Wyatt family vs Shield should happen

^agreed, especially with the way the Wyatt's ran through Tons of Funk so quickly, I'd figure it's only a matter of time before they target the Tag Team Titles
