Vince should let Axel & others by defending Hogans racist comments

The HEEL JuiceLee

Pre-Show Stalwart
I think Vince & HHH could make Axelmania the top heel,I think Axel should beg Vince to be a Hogan defender/supporter..he could get some of that old school Roddy Piper white heat.. it would get him in programs with guys like Mark Henry, Titus O'niel & any of the New day.. he could have Sandow and Heath Slater come down as the new freebirds with rebel flags like Micheal Hayes used to carry to the ring.. their careers would sky rocket and keep them 3 a job, because i could see Axel and Slater on the next future endeavours fall cleanings list.. plus i think Slater would kill it in that role.. maybe not Sandow, it could be an Nxt guy like Bull Dempsey or Barin Corbin.. shoot they could have Bray and Luke out in the ring while Bray is cutting a promo about look who got healthy & followed the buzzards back to the family, then Rowan comes down & says it is great to be with family, just not the Wyatt family, then Axel & Slater come from behind and Rowan helps them stomp the Bray & Luke, forcing Bray to ask Bo For help in a survivor series match, or the Axelmania group could do a 3 on 3 with New Day & that could happen at Survivor Series, but if this was pg14 and Vince gave it a chance Axel & Slater would get over at least around the heights New Age Outlaws..so since its all scripted now & everyone knows it.I think guys like Axel,Slater,Swagger (would be my choice for the 3rd guy) Zack Ryder,or Fandango going back as Johnny Curtis. What would be great would be putting R-Truth in there, he is from the south(North Carolina)and he could cut a promo saying that Little Jimmy is a decindant of Robert E Lee or Jefferson Davis. WWE has had a lot of 3 man groups so i would do 4 guys & a manager, like the horsemem has JJ Dillion. Curtis Axel would have to be jn the group because of Axelmania.. but he should do another name change like Axel Henning, or Joey Alex or as they are debuting the new gimmick he can say he isnt a character, his real name is Joe Henning. The 2nd guy would be perfect for the gimmick & definitely get over if he could get 3 straight wins, that man is Heath Slater. I also think Axel & Slater would have good chemistry , especially with the 3rd guy R-Truth, who could also say he is Ron Killings now & Axel is Joe Henning because they are not characters no more. And a good thing about Having Truth jn the group that would have Axel carrying a rebel flag to the ring, would make the gimmick not be labeled as racist & could lighten the mood when needed with little jimmy promos. now for the 4th guy id pick Jack Swagger.. he is a great wrestler and he was getting over before Zeb got hurt. His career wouldmof been bigger but he has bad luck, like getting a d.u.i a month before mania where he was going to beat Del Rio for the big gold belt.. then he was about to have a fued with with Cesaro after the real Americans broke up, but he got injured.. Another reason Swagger would be a must is the best guy in the Biz to handle a hot topic gimmick like that is Dutch Mantell aka uncle Zeb. I think James Storm could do it perfect to, but i think he is winding down his career, he wants to be home more for his wife & kids, i know he will do some gfw but if i was him id sign with Lucha Underground which is the future of how all non wwe shows will try to be like, but besides Morrison there isnt many gringo's so he could fit in good in that company and only have to work about 4 months a year... anyways back on the Axelmania gimmick/group .all the promos zeb, slater & Axelmania could cut, and then them taking up for the rebel flag & running down America like Zeb did in the beginning with Swagger. Then they could have Axel defending Hogans racist comments.. I really think this would really elevate them all & Slater could earn his way out of jobber city.. id love to see Zack Ryder find something, but he would not fit this gimmick because he is from up north & couldnt pull off the southern pride country boy.. Rowan could work as a silent destroyer, but i want him to go to an expanded wyatt family with atleast 5 people.. i think they could bring up Bull Dempsey from nxt since he has been i developmental for so long.. throw some camo pants and a dixie outfitters shirt & he could fit in fine..

so should Vince make something out of this Hogan drama.. or is he to pg to try it, knowing they would go from jobbers to the top heels in the compamy.. sometimes i wish i had Vince,HHH,Arn Anderson, Dean Malenko, Patt Patterson or Road Dogg, or Joey Mercuries phome number like Vimce Russo had some1in Vince's office & could talk shop to creative..

anyways tell me what u think please.

the thread title is wrong, it should say.. should vince let Axel continue the axelmania gimmick where he defends Hogan.. i think slater, swagger, r truth & zeb sgould also get behindmhimll i think they can soar up the cqrd if allowed to do a racist Hogan/southern boy with rebel flags type gimmick

Sooooooo Vince puts a straight up blackout on the biggest star the industry has ever seen and you expect him to create some sort of angle out of it. A racist angle dare I say. You do realise all the negative publicity it would bring, the sponsors they would lose yada yada yada......

Its a stupid fucking idea.

I wish you had creatives number so you could ring them up and then tell us all what they said to you.

This strikes me as one of those "I'd just like to see them do it just to see if they're stupid enough to actually do it" sort of ideas. There are so many reasons why this shouldn't take place that it's difficult to decide which reasons are worse than the others.

Aside from being offensive in general, WWE would have to deal with the financial and public relations disaster that'd come out of this whole situation. WWE's gotten major criticism on the past for doing something as tame, at least compared with this idea, of angles involving sexual harassment, and this was during the Attitude Era, so you can just imagine the kind of negative press WWE and accusations of exploiting racial tensions WWE would receive from all directions.

Also, the "Axelmania" character is nothing more than comedic parody and that's all it's intended to be. Axel impersonating Hulk Hogan and defending Hogan's rights to his comments? You honestly, seriously believe that such a ludicrous idea would work? :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

I think Vince & HHH could make Axelmania the top heel,..... (so i don't have to quote the originators entire post to save space)

I can't help but think that this idea gives WWE the, "Holy Crap, what are they going to do next moment" for viewers. I 100% think this a great idea to get a crazy buzz of WWE and get viewers to tune in. Eric Bischoff, for all his faults, does have one genius idea, "Controversy Creates Cash."

To whoever is reading my thread on this post, who ever you are and the demographics that make up "You," you have a overall strong opinion/feeling about these sensitive and important societal topics. Whatever story line they run, "You're going to want to see what they do." You can admit it to yourself.

Letting Axel keep Axel Mania, you're going to tune in to see where they go. Add Michael Hayes throwback to the Freebirds and a confederate flag, you'll bring more viewers back for, "What will they do next." Run with it. Done right, No publicity is bad publicity.

You know, maybe Raw doesn't always have to be PG and it can teeter on the PG-13 line to educate some kids that not every person is a Super Cena and there's still a Real World you need to learn about.

There's a big capital opportunity to this. To bad there's an opportunity for a tolerance education story given these performers are characters that some media idiot/or some ass politician will turn it into a preaching agenda moment. That alone is why WWE won't touch this idea. But it's "FUCKING" brilliant. Great topic dude.

I stopped reading almost immediately after reading the first few lines. Come on mate! This isn't something they can play politic and business about. Every superstar had agreed that there used to be a lot of fun in the dressing room and more abusive and racial words. But within friends it tends to happen but you see this is something more than just personal and it's something that can degrade the image of WWE in the global level. They shouldn't play gimmick or storyline with this shit....

A racist angle dare I say.

In this era of extreme political correctness, the angle could never be. I can remember a time, about 20 years ago, WWE might have gotten away with it.

No more.

And Curtis Axel, who finally got a program to run with....albeit with only minor TV exposure....probably saw the firestorm happening with Hogan and said....'Aw, shit.'

There are too many people in the WWE audience who actually side with Hogan in the matter - too many people who think Hogan did nothing wrong here. And because of that, this is a terrible idea. It would be a public relations nightmare for the company when the audience cheered for Axel.

And if you don't think that's what would happen, then go back and watch the evolution of Jack Swagger. Zeb spewed anti-Mexican comments for months, and the end result was the audience parroting the phrase "We the People." This would be no different.

i guess i just miss the Attitude era where they would use Axelmania for 2 or 3 weeks to align a group of guys who would stick up for the confederate flag, do the promo's where they claim its not hate, its heritage, Zeb could do magic with the gimmick. I said to put Truth in the group so its not seen as a straight racist gimmick.. And after 2 weeks they wouldnt have to mention Hogan ever again.. Axel could use his real name. Then it would evolve to be more like the freebird gimmick. i could see it like when Bret went Heel and was getting boo'ed out of every building in the US, But in Canada, Germany & the UK he was the biggest babyface.. So they would get cheered in the Southern cities like Nashville, Jacksonville, Lexington etc, but get masive heel crowds in New York, Philly & Chicago.. I know that alot of the people that post on here are from up North, or the UK & Canada so you might not know how big things have got down here in the South where i live.. And no im not a redneck & i could care less about the damn flag, but where i live in Jacksonville Fl, 2 towns over where its super country they have been throwing rallies every weekend, its huge for them. So i just think in this day & age when Raw might have 2 good segments out of the whole 3 hour show, having a controversial gimmick group, with a mic master like Zeb would be an intresting segment almost every Monday. But i come from the era where Marc Mero would try to make Sable dress in a potato sack & then she took it off and had barely anything on, or when the Nation of Domination down talked the predominantly white crowds every Monday.Or when DX were mooning crowds, or Undertaker was hanging Austin from his symbol. And i still remember how great of heels the freebirds were IN THE SOUTH. We dont need to have segments where the fake Yakuza is cutting off ol Val Venus little penis, but Raw needs to start getting a little edgier because they havent gained fans in 10 years. 10 years they get a rating just above a 3, but in the 90s when they were edgy they were getting atleast 7s every week, not including the 5s WcW were getting. And thats because that 3 they get are the hardcore fans who would still watch every Monday is Hornswoggle was WWE champ and was in a main event fued with Rowan.. the reason the ratings dont go up is because WWE lost that" omg, what will they do next, i cant wait until next week to see" And it wouldnt be the company taking up for Hogan, they have already turned there back on him, it be the company poking fun at him, and the Axel group would def build up to a fued where they would get what they have coming from someone like New Day & Mark Henry, or PTP & Lucha Dragons teaming up for a ppv.. CONTROVERSY CREATES CASH...and new eyes on the product.
